We stayed here for 2 nights for a concert at the o2. Lovely place to stay right by the train station? So easy access to the rest of the city. The pub has a nice cosy atmosphere. Rooms are small but has everything you need including complimentary drinks and snacks. We had issues with getting no hot water but the staff were very helpful getting maintenance out that quickly resolved the problem. Great place to stay in London if you're looking somewhere quiet place with no street/city life noises. Would recommend.
Stayed 1 Nov. I booked a small room for my self on Halloween night. Two friends came up for about 10 minutes before we left for the O2. Shortly after, there was a very loud knock. The landlord spoke to us in a rude, abrupt and, to me, threatening manner, shouting that there’s no parties and stating that CCTV is in use. He then shut the door before we could explain we were just meeting and heading out. We were left confused and shaken.
I understand firm house rules, but a calm reminder would’ve cleared things up and built some rapport. For future guests: the no visitors / no parties policy is enforced very strictly, and the room is tiny. After my stay, I noticed similar comments and experiences in the reviews… readers can judge for themselves.
