I've been a happy D&D customer for the past 15 years, never giving it much thought because I've never run out of gas, been low when a hurricane is coming, or even had a need to call them. We called today and spoke with Stephanie about getting gas installed at a different location. Stephanie was so nice, and SMART, friendly and patient. She answered a kazillion question, explained things I didn't understand and was very knowledgeable. It's nice knowing she's available to help should I ever need it (she's been there 27 years). She's the best customer service person I've dealt with in a very long time and genuinely cares about her customers. If you want this kind of customer service D&D is the way to go. THANK YOU Stephanie.
This company has terrible- customer service. I called concerned about over 70 gallons of gas disappearing in 2 days, expressed major concern over it being a leak and the service manager refused to act promptly. I then make a service appointment for somebody to come and check out and ensure this isn't a leak and wait a week (which I find dangerous), for them to not even show up during the promised time slot. I call and I'm told that they shouldn't have gave me a time frame and that their tech is busy at another job and I will just have to wait til they are done. What in the world? This was scheduled out a week now... The girl who answered the phone could have cared less how this affects me and my day. Do not recommend them at all.
This company is a JOKE! Go with any other company in Jax for your gas service. They have no showed to every single appointment.
I have only been with D&D for 6 months. They charged me $300 just to get the new house switched to my name (fee to switch name and fee for a safety visit). They have NO SHOWED to every single appointment and cannot provide an explanation. Regretting going with this service and will be switching.
Have been really happy with D&D gas. I originally called several other companies and their customer service were all beyond atrocious. I began using D&D a year and a half ago when we moved into our new home. They were able to get us setup with propane in our home, bury a tank, run gas lines, and get us on recurring service. Haven't had any issues.
If I could give them ZERO stars, I would! We purchase a home in February 2024. The home has an interior gas fireplace and (had) two 100lbs propane tanks. Sellers never disclosed that D&D owned the tanks. I was notified via letter in September that the tanks belonged to them. I called them and they stated the seller should have told me and either I pay $150 for a safety inspection and fill-ups, or I would have to return them. I told them kindly, that I know nothing of this and to take it up with the sellers. Well, I heard nothing back.
At the beginning of November, my wife was startled that 2 men were in our back yard. We work from home and there are 2 vehicles parked outside. They didn't even knock or ring the doorbell. They decided to just enter a 6 foot fenced in yard and proceed to take my tanks. I immediately went outside and asked them who they where and why they were in my back yard. They replied, "we're with D&D Gas and we're here to take our tanks." I kindly asked them to leave and he just ignored me. I looked at the other guy and said it again, "you need to leave right now." He ignored me as well. So, I stated, "you entered my property without consent and if you don't want me do go get my gun, you should probably leave." Well... surprisingly that didn't work either. So, for the 4th time, with a little more tone, I told them, "you need to leave now or I'm getting my gun!" The guy standing and watching finally said to his buddy, we need to go! I asked my wife to call D&D to inform them of what had happened. Well... the fact that her crew entered our property illegally, didn't phase this woman at all. So I got on the phone and explained that what they did was illegal and to take it up with the seller.
She fought with me for a while and then said, "I'm going to call the police, you threatened my employees." I politely said, "you are welcome to call the police." Believe it or not, I had two officers at my front door within 10 minutes! My wife and I spoke with them and explained the entire story. The officer stopped me and said, "you're preaching to the choir, and you had every right to do and say as you did. We won't be bothering you anymore." About 5 minutes later, the officer came back and asked if he could take a look at the tanks. I escorting him to the back yard, he took a look at the tanks and shook his head, "some people." He apologized and told me he would advise D&D not to return.
As he was leaving, I told the officer, "I want to do the right thing, just tell those idiots to come back tomorrow and knock on the door." He looked at me and stated, "are you sure? As far as I'm concerned, those tanks are yours sir." I simply replied, "I know, but I don't think they're going to give up. It's not worth the trouble." One gentleman from D&D returned the next morning and actually knocked this time. I escorted him to the back and he picked up the tanks. He turned his head to me as he left the back yard gate, and said, "I'm very sorry about yesterday, thank you."
Great service. My home sensor detected a gas leak so I called them ( the receptionist was super friendly). They took this super serious and urgent. The owner Lewis came after hours and didn't leave until he was 100% sure that everything was safe. I also used them for my house gas supply and have always been very professional.
I would recommend this company to anyone.
