Simple to use. It adds the highlighted text as an abstract instantly. We can change the title, add tags. And most of all, it creates RSS feeds from our tags. Why not 5 stars? Sometimes the tagging won't work while bookmarking the pages, you have to go back in your library to add them.

Signup issues The whole process for signing up is just broken. I spent over an hour between two devices - first just getting registered as a user. Then trying to start a free 30-day trial of the Business user - the billing system… my card expires in 2029, yet for some strange reason, the only years I can select from begin with 2016 and end with 2026. So I tried an older card that expires this year. That seems like it should work, right? Well, once I get all the way through that whole process and click the submit button, the page just loads for a few seconds and then nada. Like I didn’t even try submitting. I don’t know why it’s such a painful and extremely difficult process, but all I know is that this was my experience. I was really looking forward to beginning to use this utility. However, this whole process makes me second guess if I can really trust housing my data here or not.

Glitchy This works but there's no sound on youtube videos. Some things it won't load on certain sites.

Great for keeping track of online resources (free version) Overall: I wanted a tool to easily collect bookmarks, label/tag them, and search/select and export bookmarks. Diigo was the one that best fit the bill. Certainly worth a try. Pros: Diigo is very straightforward: you can save URLs and (online) PDFs to your library and export the lists. You can add comments to the bookmark and tag it, and highlight text on a page and annotate it. You can easily export the bookmarks with annotations as CSV, or the app will prepare a table/list for you to email, copy, or put in a blog post. Cons: It can be a bit clunky and mouse-dependent (hard to use with only keyboard), and I can't edit the bookmarks in a spreadsheet/database-style interface. I'm using the free version so I can only search by tag, not by keyword (even in the bookmark titles).

Supplies a simply organized repository for bookmarks. Let's you tag items. Takes a little looking around to figure the layout of the site. It brought in a Realtor site and 3 help links that I had a little confusion removing. I went under "not in outliner" and was able to remove from there. Last update seems to be 2016 and it seems there are some unusable artifacts, but still worth my while.

The ability to highlight and annotate passages of websites and share them with my students is a fantastic way to tailor my lessons to their needs. The browser plug-in makes using Diigo seedless on the fly when preparing projects. The mobile app is not as robust as I would like it to be, and it loads very slowly. If it's performance would be improved, it would be much more readily useable abs accessible to students. I have used Diigo for gathering research information not only for my students, but for my own projects. There outliners are a great way to gather content by topic and for brainstorming before organizing it into useful categories.

Great service, poor app. The Share feature appears to capture websites, but silently fails. The browser is worse than just using chrome. M wondering why I need to keep the app on my devices anymore.

I’m tired of being ignored by diigo’s “priority support” This will be the third time I have been ignored by diigo’s support team. I have been a paying customer for two years under two separate accounts but I will be changing that to their free offering going forward. I’m not going to pay for something that I’m not receiving.

still relevant in 2021... the sad thing: development is stalled, there is still support but no new features for years. the good thing: even though development is stalled, this is still the best bookmarker/annotation tool/highlighter on the market. it just works great. better than hypothesis or memex (diigo is just faster, can handle 10k items without slowdowns, and the highlights presentation is better more compact. Liner's highlights are somewhat similar). It can save webpages, images, pdfs, import kindle highlights, works great with ifttt.

Compatible with the most popular and used web browser, highlight by shading by mouse and save text by password for greater security. It does not work properly without an Internet connection. Reading over the Internet, security of information collected and adding direct web browser. Make and shade relevant text to later read and analyze, everything I keep in a safe to avoid private documents online.

App delay after saving is too long I love almost everything about this app, and have been spreading it to my friends, but the one thing that drives me nuts is the long pause after I save each bookmark. It hangs on the “Saved” alert for far too long. I frankly don’t care that it was saved. I only want to know when it was NOT saved for some reason. And I’d happily accept the risk of a save being rarely lost just so I don’t need to stare at that “Saved” confirmation.

Reliable, stable, great feature set. Overall: I've tried everything on the market over the years. Diigo earned its keep in my paid subs as the most stable, feature packed, easy to use. I take notes, save clips and use it cross platform. Pros: Works. Always works. Never fails. Never down. Never changes. Secure. Stable. Fast. Save links. With descriptions. Add tags. Sort. Search. Highlight. Add notes to pages. Save and highlight PDFs. Saves images, screenshots and probably more that I am forgetting to mention. Cons: I wish there were more category saving features such as folders. Tags are the only option.

Slow browser but great web highliter Slow browser experience...Am on an iPhone 12 Pro. Who wants to use a slow browser these days? Non starter, sorry. Fortunately we can use Safari (fast and private) along with the Diigo share sheet to bookmark and tag. There is an unfortunate bug which prevents you from jumping to page annotation from the share sheet but you can get around it by opening the Diigo app yourself (you will have to endure the Diigo browser home page and then head to your library and finally reach the bookmarked page you want to highlight. My criticisms aside, I am a satisfied Diigo customer: - Diigo is a fantastic tool for highlighting the web, but using Diigo on IOS is currently subpar in my experience. And, there is no evidence at all over the last year that progress is in the works (Crickets…)

Essential I use it every day for school and personal bookmarks and excerpts. The tagging is the perfect way to sort. Can’t live without it.
