After my initial contact with Mark, I knew he was the one to solve the problems I was experiencing with my boiler and heating systems(6000sq ft residence). Over the years I had dealt with several other companies that kept telling me my system only had minor/maintenance issues. Mark inspected the whole system and provided several options, thoroughly explaining each one. I chose a complete system replacement, boilers, furnaces and venting pipe. Mark provided a price quote and explained the whole process saying it would take approx 4 weeks to complete. Upon starting the job, he introduced me to Brenden and all his staff. His crew took great care in protecting anything that required protection...floors, mouldings, stairwells and furniture. They also provided temporary water and heat as I was staying upstairs. They worked on the site daily, and Brenden, often late into the night. They kept the site clean and orderly. Mark kept me informed on progress and again answered any questions I had. The job was completed on schedule and on budget. Mark is still following up and coming over to fine tune the systems as required. I would highly recommend DHL for any mechanical or boiler repair or installation. Overall they were very efficient, courteous, organized and professional.

My experience appears similar to "B"'s below from 6 months ago. This is the first negative review I have provided a service provider, and have otherwise been very pleased with the quality of contractors in Calgary over the last 25 years. Unfortunately I feel this review is necessary. The technician who attended appeared inexperienced and I do not believe diagnosed any issue properly. Upon leaving the technician quoted one price range, but the invoice received from the owner was more than double. The system operates the same as it did before the service call and the cost bears no relation to value provided. Also very disappointed with the unprofessional tone of the email correspondence from the owner.

The very rude and defamatory comments you made about Brenden prior to knowing he was my son was absurd and shocking to be honest… he is part owner of the company and has been in the fields of residential boilers in excess of 10 years and since he turned your speed down on your pumps( which corrected the noise issue) you your self said you felt “ stupid “ that you didn’t know that the pump speed was the issue all along.

You made those awful comments to me about Brenden before you knew he was my son but very carefully didn’t write them anywhere… and didn’t repeat them in this open public platform but karma comes to those whom travel through life with such awful opinions about people of a different nationality sir… and since your full spelling of your name is at the top of your review, well now everyone knows ( especially your neighbors) why I carried such a tone with you… and I always will sir.

Karma has strange ways of making people pay for there awful behavior… and in your case it most definitely will come in a way to cost you over and over and over…

New radiant heat boiler and hot water tank installed. Mark was quick to come to our rural property to assess and arrange the work. Both he and Brendan were friendly, respectful and very knowledgeable about boiler systems. They consistently kept at the work until completed. Would definitely call them again.

I called DHL to check my boiler as it was stuck on pre purge , Mark said he was busy but he would look at it. After 3 attempts he did show up and checked the system and did get it running by throttling valves. He told me that my non- potable system was hard water and plugged like a heart attack and it would cost 4-5 thousand to replace non- potable and run for 3 days on hot but not guarantee anything and 20-25 thousand to replace system. The boiler ran long enough to make 1 tank of hot water and shut down. After thinking about this I decided to check the non-potable water for hardness and it showed soft.My Opinion is Mark never wanted to repair the boiler just walk me down a path to mug me for 25 to 30 thousand to replace a system at 50% service life. I called another company that came out checked the boiler and called for technical assistance and was told what part the boiler needed , part was obtained and replaced and the boiler runs fine like a expert Received a bill from DHL boiler expert for $485.05 fuel surcharge $12.00 Service call $199.95 1 Hour Labour $250.00 GST $23.10 1 hour Labour to diagnose issue and produce estimate that I never saw

We had a 51 year old boiler heating our house, that reached its final days. DHL Boiler Experts, Mark came in and showed us where the boiler was leaking (in several places in the heat exchanger), dripping glycol onto the burners. The boiler was at the end of its life. Mark provided an estimate, and we signed a contract for the work. Mark managed to squeeze us into his very busy schedule, as we were desperate, with no heat in the house, other than a few space heaters. Mark and his team came in, covered the floors with a protective surface, and went to work. He also provided sufficient space heaters to keep us comfortable during this time. They removed the old boiler equipment and installed a new, high efficiency boiler and all the piping to make it work. Mark is a very knowledgeable, honest, professional who provides attention to detail, and cares about doing it all right; and with total integrity. Mark and his team worked hard, through long hours each day, and were courteous and a pleasure to deal with. They cleaned up at the end of each day, and answered any questions we had. The end result was a new boiler system that works great, and looks good too (nicely done, Brenden). I highly recommend DHL for any boiler related issues. Thanks Mark, Brenden, Julio, Joseph and Rob for a job well done.

Mark, Brenden and their team did great work with our recent boiler replacement requirement. First off, when a boiler fails at -35 C on a Saturday morning, you need a quick response!! They answered my call and made time to stop in later that afternoon. From the get go, they were very knowledgeable on the entire system, and went through the options we had to get our boiler replaced and the system back up and running. They also set us up with a temporary hot water solution and some additional space heaters to ensure we were comfortable until the work was complete. We're extremely pleased with the end result and they got the task taken care of in a timely manner. They were great at communicating their progress and schedules to us along the way and very professional to deal with. They take great pride in their work and it shows in the final product!!

Our apartment condominium has been using DHL Mechanical for over four years now and would highly recommend their service. Mark works with a high degree of integrity. He takes the time to make sure you understand all of the options, and whatever path is chosen, no corners are cut. It’s service you can count on. Added bonus is how organized and clean they are. They had to enter one of our storage rooms, and they left the belongings inside more organized than when they started! Same is with our Mechanical room. All of his staff are also very approachable and polite through out the time they were in our building. Would recommend DHL Mechanical to any building needing a reliable plumber and gas fitter. 👍👍

Mark Davie and his Team at DHL Mechanical dropped everything they were doing when we made an emergency call to them when my elderly mothers A/C unit and Furnace completely died only 5 years after, what we now know as an original incorrect installation of the A/C Unit from some other company during a new build. You most definitely get what you pay for these days and he did an absolutely stellar job with everything from the initial visit to the final clean up. He communicated with us every step of the way so we knew exactly what to expect. He takes great pride in the work he does and it most definitely shows. Highly highly recommend 100%

I first called DHL when my hot water tank burst and even though they were swamped, Mark managed to shuffle his schedule around to not only stop by that same evening to stem the issue but actually got a new tank installed the very next day. Since then they've replaced my seized water main (a gift from the previous owner of the house), and upgraded my boiler system. Their work is exceptional and I appreciate that they take the time to walk me through what they've done, why they did it that way, and to answer any questions I have before heading off. I highly recommend this company.

Mark and his team were very considerate and professional! They took great care to explain what was going on even though we were completely new to how boilers worked. Our previous contractors would only fix up a part or other and the boiler would break down again after two weeks. Mark looked at the boiler and knew what needed to be done. Mark and crew did a full replacement of my heating system. The work was done in a professional manner with no cost overruns. The work that was done looks fantastic, but more importantly, works extremely well! I had them add a hot water tap outside earlier this year and it’s great. They always make time for repeat customers and clean up everything when the work is complete. I would highly recommend this company.

This job spanned all the trades; HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and even some woodworking to create a custom cold air return cover on our main floor. The team put down lots of protective material on the flooring, cleaned up after every day’s work, is very respectful of not damaging your home and left everything completely clean. When you want something done well, DHL is highly recommended for complex projects such as this.

Mark and his team have been doing work for me since 2018. It took me a while to find a team that actually understands boilers and hydronic heating systems, and DHL is it. They've done great work maintaining my system and recently installing a new condensing, high efficiency boiler. They do great work - very professional, respectful of your home, neat and tidy, friendly and pleasant, and always happy to explain what needs done and why. Highly recommended.

Mark and his team really came through for us. Our old cast iron boiler needed replaced, and we were in the middle of Calgary’s cold snap. The boiler that was shipped to us came damaged, so Mark gave us a high-efficiency stainless steel boiler at no extra cost to us. They worked long hours to get our system up and running, and kept the worksite tidy at all times. We would highly recommend DHL Mechanical to anyone!
