We hired a row boat for three of us to explore Derwent water. Easy to do online. Quick and easy check in when we arrived. Friendly and helpful people at the marina, enjoyable, fun and affordable experience.

We went there for kayaking and had an absolutely amazing evening! The experience was peaceful and fun, perfect for a relaxing time on the water. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Prices were quite reasonable for the quality of service and equipment provided. One important thing to note you do need to make a booking in advance, as walk-ins aren’t guaranteed. Overall, a great spot for a memorable outing!

Friendly staff, got us on the lake quick. Lake gets choppy in middle, can be hard to control the canoe!

Turned up to try find out if we could launch 2 kayaks from here as we have in the past. 2 staff watched us arrive and get out and walk towards them. As soon as we started coming up the steps they disappeared into the staff area. Tried ringing the number on display as although the shop area said open the doors were locked. No answer. Managed to find a lady that worked there to be told they no longer allowed you to launch from there. Fair enough. But why walk off when we were clearly approaching to ask? Anyway if your looking for somewhere to launch from just leave and turn left and head to Nicole End marine next door. They are super friendly and helpful and allow you to pay to launch.

Great! I’ve been here for paddle boards and kayaks - most recently I booked paddle board in advance but it was quite windy so I asked if I could change to kayak - It was no problem! They also keep bags/car keys safe while you’re out on the water. I’ll definitely hire from here again. The website isn’t the most user friendly for booking.

Turned up without booking and was in a row boat 30 mins later. Made for a a fun day with good memories. Staff were friendly and helpful

Hired a rowing boat from here for 4 people. £42 for three hours. Cheaper to book online. Staff are pleasant and we had a great time on the lake.
