I contacted Deluxe Lifecote to discuss resealing the stucco and painting my mother's house. I met with Emmanuel, who was professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He explained the overall process and the product. Emmanuel answered all my questions even before I signed the contract. He was delightful to work with. The service and attention given to my mom's house by the crew was exceptional. Despite some hiccups, overall I am extremely satisfied with the outcome. I was expressed with the workers that came and did the work. Kudos to Mauricio the lead crew. He was respectful, hardworking, and reliable. He treated my mom's house like his own house. The completed work was done as promised in a timely matter. If you want quality go with Deluxe Lifecote. I highly recommend this company to anybody looking on doing re-stuccoing on their home.
From start to finish they were extremely professional and also friendly enough so I felt comfortable with any concerns. Deluxe Lifecote have finished my home, I have set up an appointment with the painter to come back and hang patio lights back and a few other things! I highly recommend this company, also before Deluxe Lifecote I hired California deluxe windows to put all new windows in my home, that's why I was so confident with Deluxe Lifecote! They did a fabulous job and I will refer them to anybody and everybody I talk to. Thank you very much Emmanuel for your expertise and guiding me through it all the decisions, and for Ernesto who did everything I asked and more!
I've been painting and repairing the exterior of my home for over 25 years, using paint bought at Home Depot or similar stores. I had wood siding which would show cracks at least every three years, and stucco that was beginning to crumble. We heard the radio ads about Deluxe Lifecote and thought we'd get a quote from them. Our sales representative (Emmanuel) was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. He explained why their quote was going to be higher than their competition and justified the cost. Based on favorable reviews on Yelp and a trust in Emmanuel's commitment for our satisfaction, my wife and I decided to work with the Deluxe Lifecote team. We were not disappointed. They replaced all the wood siding with stucco, and repaired wood posts, facia, and existing stucco walls. Except for a couple days and Sundays, the Lifecote crew was here working on our house. Emmanuel would visit a couple times a week to monitor the progress and answer any questions. By the end of the project, we had neighbors come up to compliment our home's exterior. I'm hopeful that we'll never see any cracking or peeling on our house, but have confidence that Lifecote will stand by their lifetime guarantee.
DELUXE LIFECOTE started the job on Monday & finished on Thursday, four days after they started. They were very focused & it showed. They not only did a great paint job but they also replaced some facia. They were very careful to tape off and cover things so not to get paint on them. They dug a trench all around the bottom of the walls and took great care not to disturb any plants or shrubs that were close to the walls. They went out of their way to ask questions they weren't sure about like asking if we wanted an item painted the color of the house or the color of the trim. Overall we are pleased with the whole job. We will recommend this company to anyone who is looking to paint and repair their house if the outcome in a respectable amount of time does not start to deteriorate or begins having problems with any part of the job that was done. If this occurs I will be back on Yelp to give another review.
I thought it's too good to be true when I first heard about it on the radio and just wanted to know if it was true. from the time I met with the sales team, everything went smoothly. the actual painting team was excellent. they thought about every detail of the project and took care of it. My house was completed a few months ago and I just wanted to wait for the paint to settle in before I wrote the review. it turns out that the paint was just as good as it was first finished. The salesperson Tim was extremely helpful in getting any questions answered. I highly recommend the company to everyone. it might seem a little expensive to begin with but if you do the math in a loNguyen's run it pays off very quickly
AMAZING results. Yes it is more pricier than regular paint but I believe well worth it. Their warranty and financing option made the decision easier to make. They really put in the work on my two story 1912 Craftsman home. Any wood that needed replacing was done professionally. Every step of the way I was asked if I liked the work before they moved on to the next phase. All the prep work was looked over and approved by me before they started any painting. I used 4 different colors and not once did they complain about the multiple colors and where I wanted them applied. They would apply the paint in a small area, get my approval and then complete the color in the area I directed. Tim came out for the initial consult and assured me I would be happy with the crew that would come out and the end result. My crew was lead by Ernesto and he was so nice, patient and respectful of not only my property but of me as a customer. We have received so many compliments on the end results.
I heard the ads for Deluxe Lifecote on my talk radio station and knew that I had to call for a quote because of the condition of the paint on my 66 year old home.
First off, the team is great! From the initial consultation with Tim, coordination of the project with Milton to the execution of the work with Mauricio and his crew, my wife and I couldn't be happier. Communication was clear throughout, even when we changed our minds on the initial colors chosen.
The service met and exceeded our expectations in a timely fashion and the outcome is what we requested.
Yes...this is more costly than just having the house painted, but the product is so much more durable than paint that the cost is justified. This product will last for our lifetimes. We've seen other houses in the neighborhood that have been painted recently that are already showing signs of aging.
The crew were also very respectful of our tenant, three cats and our tortoise!
I happened upon Deluxe Lifecote while wandering thru YouTube. I clicked on their ad for more info and as fast as that I was speaking to Tim Belknap. He explained their process of coating vs painting but what stood out was the savings I would realize in never painting the house again. Never another crack and substantial savings on electric and gas bills. Sold!
I figured I would update my review on this company. After five years the paint job needs to redone due to garbage painters and paint. I also found they didn't know what they were doing and sealed my trim up. This doesn't allow the water to drain rotting out my siding. Now I have to replace my siding due to their complete lack of knowledge of how to paint and seal a house. All of you be aware if you use these people they will destroy your home. Don't forget they go to Home Depot and hire their help from parking lots!
When I shared in my last post that I was unhappy, Tim Belknap immediately contacted me. It turns out the issue was related to the new face boards leaking sap and not the painting. They sent the same people who initially did the work and they resolved my issue quickly.
I am very satisfied with their work. My home looks new, as it did when they initially finished the work.
3.5 rating. The salesman was a little pushy but that's what they do right?! The contractor was good, they did try to raise the prices we agreed upon, and They did try to convince me it was normal to put new plywood over the old rotting exterior wood but eventually they removed the old and applied the new correctly and I paid what we originally agreed upon. There was also some damage to our new rain gutters they they said they would pay our rain gutter company to fix, then I got a call from the gutter company that we were supposed to pay. In the end they paid for the damage fixed. The painter was great. He did not leave overspray on our new pavers or fencing, there was no over paint on the windows. I can feel the heat difference in the paint and it is much cooler. Is it an energy money saver as they claim? Hummm I'm not convinced of that after 4 years. I do however wish they did NOT spray extra exterior texture over the existing stucco texture as any bumps to it makes the paint chip off. I'm also not sure they even discussed applying that ahead of time. Also I will need to contact the company as the paint is separating under my roof eves so it looks like its chipping. I'm glad they left some extra paint for touch-ups as we are needing it. Overall I'm ok/happy with the product, but wish it wasn't so expensive. I truly hope they keep their promises to fix the defects. TBD with that, fingers crossed!! I hope this paint lasts as long as they claim for the cost.
To all interested in this product: if your home needs some repair prior to painting
I would say to save money have all exterior wood work done by an external company to save money. They are very expensive and finally they left a huge mess behind that I got to clean up now. Other than that they did do a good job look wise. Finally have all your light fixtures and shutters ready to go , because when there done there out.
It's been about six months now and I've noticed some issues. Specifically, there are issues with the paint around the face boards. While I was very satisfied in the beginning, I am thinking this company overpromised. Based on what it cost, I should not be having any issues; it feels like I paid more than I should have.
Before I decided to sign, I shared with them that we live in a windy area, and I was assured that would not be a problem because of the products they use. At this point, I haven't done a full inspection, but the pictures below are from the front of the house.
Additionally, I learned when I called to report the issue that the service doesn't have a lifetime warranty, only the paint. They were supposed to provide all warranties after the job was completed. To date, I have not received that, so learning about the limited labor warranty was shocking. However, since it's only been a short time, I should not be having any issues with the paint fading, chipping, etc.
I will provide another update after they address this issue and I've given it enough time to see if the issue comes back.
Watch Out! They painted my house, were 3 times higher in price than two other bids but I went with them based on the product they showed me and "their lifetime warranty". Truth be told, the warranty does not include labor or the wood trim. They buy their paint from another local company and put their lane on it. Their supplier does offer a lifetime warranty on the paint but the real cost of the job is in the labor. When I called them about a warranty issue Tim told me he is too busy to even look at my house. What does that tell you? This company is a total scam, don't believe their false advertising, you will be throwing away your hard earned money.
After listening to radio commercials, I became curious about Deluxe Life Cote. I finally called for an estimate, and Tim Belknap was at my house the next day to explain the process and give me a quote.
Despite the initial shock at the cost, I couldn't ignore the fact that my previous paint job had deteriorated after just five years, emphasizing the need for a professional and long-lasting solution.
I felt pressured to sign the same day (to receive a special discount) but was assured I had three days to cancel. Tim contacted the homeowner at a job they had just finished, and I went over to speak with them. Their house looked great, and the homeowner was pleased with the whole process and gave his full recommendation.
My decision to choose Deluxe Life Cote was further validated when Ernesto and his crew were assigned to paint my house. Their punctuality, attention to detail, and professional conduct made the entire process a pleasant experience.
The cherry on top of my experience with Deluxe Life Cote is the assurance of a lifetime warranty, which gives me peace of mind about the quality and longevity of their work.
If I could give ten stars, I would!

Stay away! They painted the exterior of my house 5 years ago and the whole process has been horrible. The original quote was $13,900 and I was refunded around $3k for all the issues. As of now the paint/coating is still not dry and is changing colors on the stucco. The paint on the wood trim faded almost immediately and I was told there is no warranty or guarantee on that part. They purchase the product from Life Specialty Coatings @ 12927 Sunshine Ave in Sana Fe Springs, 562-944-6391 and put their own label on the product. Jason, from the manufacturer came out when the job was completed and said there was an issue with the application. At this point it is impossible to speak with my sales guy Bicrom, his voice mail is full, and he never answers my call. I was referred to Tim in the warranty department and he said he is too busy to even talk about my issue. Don't fall for their false advertisements! Their "lifetime warranty is only on the paint, not the labor". With that said the paint is about $125 for 5 gallons which means the labor is where the real cost comes in. I will say since I posted my review Tim did reach out. He said he would work with me if I removed my review, and I agreed. Unfortunately, before I could remove the review Tim text me and said the owner was not going to do anything until my review was taken down. At this point I will gladly pay someone else to repaint my house rather than deal with type of business. The stop renting your paint is just a catchy phrase that means nothing.
Tim was amazing in providing detailed information about their product. Our Spanish Revival home was built in 1924 and we had deferred maintenance for over 15 years. We are so happy that we made the decision to move forward with DeluxLifeCoat. Mauricio and his team communicated clearly, arrived promptly and did a fabulous job! Our house now actually "shines"! I would absolutely recommend DeluxLifeCoat, Tim and Mauricio (& his crew) again & again! Thanks guys
First off, the salesman was great in educating us on the product and process. We had know idea what the cost would be. We started getting scared once we heard him talk about previous projects. However all in all we got a fair deal with a special summer promo they had going. The process began and our house was being treated from step A-Z. It is a rather long process but the contractor did not disappoint nor did he take any short cuts. He answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns along the way. Our house looks beautiful! We have had every single neighbor stop and say how beautiful it looks.
I did not give 5 stars because our contract got a little screwy at the end when they charged our account. We at first thought we'd pay cash and signed the contract that way. They also offered the financing with great rates. It was a Friday later afternoon. We changed our mind and decided to apply for the credit and go from there. When applying the sales guy somehow applied for the wrong credit type. Had to reach out to the office and creditor on the following Monday. It all eventually got taken care of and by this time, had already given a deposit and first payment based on the original terms. The sales guy never updated our contract to the new terms using the credit line and so they charged the account incorrectly at completion of job. I had to contact their office and go back and forth for a couple of days to get it all corrected. They did redeem themselves by splitting the one time service fee from the creditor. But I was still a little upset with how it all went down. I am grateful for the customer service from the office.
My advice to you, is yes, definitely get your house done, ask for Victor, he's great for the actual work. Tim was our sales guy and apologized for the mistakes, and he was great despite the hiccups. Jennifer in the office is great at the customer service aspect and getting things done! Just make sure to get your contracts updated prior to starting the project to avoid the confusion and billing issues. Over all, they are a 5 star company, but I had to give 4 stars due to the issues.
Before Deluxe LifeCote, the paint on the faceboards were blown off, the paint was dull and the house looked old and weathered. They did a fantastic job. So much so, that my neighbor's house is for sale and someone was interested in buying my house instead of theirs even though my house isn't for sale. My house is stunning and looks brand new. They fixed every imperfection, and the colors selected are incredible. The house seems a little cooler than it was before. Can't wait to see if it will also be warmer when the weather changes.
Every interaction I had from Nick (the salesman), to the project manager, to the crew that did the work was a wonderful experience, and everything promised is exactly as they said. I would gladly recommend Deluxe LifeCote to anyone looking to have their home painted.
