Just back from a hen weekend in the sea barn. It was absolutely fantastic, the views were unreal. Des and Mary had everything ready for us and left nothing to spare. Their enthusiasm and knowledge was infectious. The rooms were very comfortable and the whole layout brilliant.

If only one could give more than 5 stars. This is a home away from home. A true healing space. Mary & Desmond have created a unique getaway in North Sligo. If you appreciate nature, tranquility and mindfulness then you better book now. I have never felt so welcomed and cared for by hosts in my life. Can't wait to be back next year!

I stayed at the Seabarn with friends for one week - it was lovely and we really reconnected with the nature around us! Within walking distance you can explore untouched nature!
The accommodation offers everything you need and is 100% clean - nothing but the shape of the building reveals that this building was once the home of cows. Very high-standard of furniture and equipment!
The host Dessie and Mary are lovely - we got some nice recommendations from Desmond, learned a lot about the culture and history of Ireland and the area especially & even went on a few adventures together :)
I‘ll definitely be back!

I stayed at the barn for an aerial retreat. The accommodation is beautiful, the location unique (right next to the beach and cow pastures). Mary and Desmond went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

The best part of our 7 night stay was Desi (owner) himself. If you stay here, take time to know this funny and kind soul! He is the Gem of Ireland 🇮🇪 💎. I’m grateful for the many rides he gave us to town and coming to take out the trash, giving us tractor rides, showing us his cows, etc etc! Everyday with Desi is a treat and you are missing out if you don’t hang out with him! Also, the barn is GORGEOUS and clean 🧼 and extremely well insulated and built! They poured their heart and soul into building it and it shows! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The barn is gorgeous and the rooms are very comfortable. There are ocean views and cute cows to look at from the bedrooms. Desi and Mary, the hosts, are wonderful people and I will always remember my stay here!

Sligo Sea Barn is a 5 star property and location. Just returned from a hen party at the weekend with 18 girls and it was top class. Mary and her husband Des are such friendly, helpful people who gave us fabulous recommendations for catering to the barn and a local bus company to take us into Sligo town which was brilliant. Everything in the barn from the interior to the bathroom products are top of the range. I couldn’t fault anything, the bedrooms are huge and so are the beds and they all have en-suites and amazing balcony views to the sea. We took a walk down the pathway to the private beach for a dip the next morning and it was amazing. Thank you for a great time I would highly recommend the Sea Barn to all families/groups for a unique luxurious sea view escape.

I was at the Sea Barn last Saturday for a nurses Réunion afternoon tea.. Mary and Des gave us all a very warm welcome, great info about the place and excellent hospitality.. They were both super hosts.. Our glasses or cups were always filled 🥂. The Sea Barn was a perfect venue for our group of 25..we could easily mingle, move around and Chat with each other. We had full use of all their excellent facilities.. Very large well equipped kitchen.. Bedrooms are fabulous, decor very inviting and relaxing. Perfect place for a getaway.. Very easy to get to from Sligo town. The views are fantastic overlooking Sligo Bay. Lots of car parking space.. I would highly recommend The Sea Barn to small groups and families.. I thoroughly enjoyed myself on my visit to the Sea Barn and will return again..

Our stay was outstanding! From our first sight of the Sligo Sea Barn, to entering the interior our senses were heightened. It began with the very warm welcome from Mary and Desi, the bedrooms were fabulous, with their balconies and sea
views, the kitchen, with all its five star equipment to the balcony overlooking the sea and dining area. The luxury of the Voya toiletries. The private access to the sea and the surrounding garden areas made the experience feel exclusive. I could go on however the features the Sea Barn offers can only be appreciated properly by experience. Go see!

We booked Sligo Sea Barn for a hen party in May. It was a lovely weekend. The venue is absolutely amazing and the location is stunning with a view looking out at Sligo’s beautiful landscape. Des and Mary were excellent hosts who went above and beyond making our weekend perfect! Highly highly recommend!

Just on our way back to Dublin after a fantastic 5-day stay at the Sligo Sea Barn with my son, my mum, my siblings and their kids. The facilities are excellent with comfy beds, quiet rooms, slick bathrooms and a superbly-designed kitchen. The house provides a unique setting and a great way to enjoy the wild beauty in this part of the world. Easy to get to from Sligo, Mullaghmore, Lisadell and Benbulben are all within striking distance. A huge thank you to Mary and Des for their generous hospitality - you helped create wonderful memories for us all that will last a lifetime. Well done: you’ve done a brilliant job with Sligo Sea Barn! Go raibh míle, míle maith agaibh! And I wish you the best of luck with this venture into the future.

Staying in the Sligo Sea Barn was a fabulous experience. The location is stunning with a private footpath to the beach. Des, Mary, Elena and Tola were wonderful hosts with tea/coffee and homemade cakes for us on arrival. The rooms were super. There were great walking and cycling routes around the area. I was one member of a diving group staying there. We had loads of room to park the jeep and boat in the yard.
I would highly recommend the Sligo Sea Barn to anyone for a wonderful place to stay. And I hope to get back there for a weekend away again soon.

Just had a wonderful stay at The Sligo Sea Barn. We went for a luxurious hen party. The location is an easy drive from Sligo town. The house is very spacious, impeccably clean and very well equipped. The details were very luxurious such as the robes and Voya products in the bathrooms. We hired local caterers on the recommendation of Des and Mary and the food was delicious. The kitchen is very well set up for caterers but would be no problem to cook yourself there either.
The house has a projector which was very easy to connect to wirelessly and we made good use of it for a quiz and games for evening entertainment. All of the guests were very impressed with the house and location. Would definitely recommend Sligo Sea Barn for a group or family celebration. Des and Mary were very welcoming. Thank you!

Booked this amazing barn for a hen party. We had the most incredible weekend. The views were beautiful and our very own path way to the beach was perfect for the morning swim at sun rise. The rooms were spacious beds were so comfortable. We had our own bath ropes slippers towel and voya products. We also got a catering company to provide our meals.(REDZ Catering Sligo) The kitchen had everything you need , house was full of equipment which was very handy for us. The photos of this house doesn’t do it justice we were all in shock with how stunning it was. The room decor was beautiful. Would definitely be back. Des and Mary were so welcoming. Words can’t explain how happy we were staying here.

LUXURIOUS is an understatement.
Mary, Des, Elena, and Tola were the consummate hosts! The effort they put into the Sligo Sea Barn shines through every detail. We enjoyed the privacy and QUIET of each room as well as the comfort of the main gathering room. Even with 10 people, it was amazing how quiet and restful the rooms were. We enjoyed many meals and played a lot of family games in this "great" room! We were delighted with the views of the sunrise over Sligo Bay, seen from the large picture windows on the second level. We walked to the beach with morning coffee, so serene. We also walked the Raghly trail loop almost daily with its beautiful views.
The local pubs were a great place to get an excellent pint of Guinness(or two)... Everyone we met was wonderful and we can't wait to return. Thank you to the Carway family for being great hosts!! Slainte!!

Amazing place for private party, or for a nice holiday with friends, or when ever you need a big house with everything, anything, and lots of space and rooms, can sleep almost 20 people, obviously in separate rooms, as you can see from photos. 😎
