I’ve used Dad of The Roads two times now. The first time my tire had been in a parking lot and messed with. Thankfully however, I was able to drive home. I called Dad of The Roads the next morning. 15 minutes after placing that call, Esquin “Dad of the Roads aka Dad” Fuentes, was fixing my tire. We both could see that I needed another one and he quoted me a more than fair price for a new one or if I preferred - a used one for quite a bit cheaper. I chose the used one because I’d already planned on getting a new set of tires. However, I can honestly say I rode on that used tire for over a year without issue until I got my new set.
Fast forward to this year and I got into a situation and caught a flat on the highway. The first person I thought to call was “Dad”. I was freaked out- cars flying by me. My anxiety definitely wasn’t helping that’s for sure. He told me he was at another job, but he’d be there SOON. He was a bit late this time (he came in 20 minutes instead of the 15 minutes from earlier haha JK) but he went right to work.
First making sure I was in a safe spot to be in while he worked, and then that I was okay and hadn’t been injured, and then made sure I’d called the police if I’d needed to, and afterwards immediately went straight to it. Got my stubborn old tire off in under 3 minutes. Within 10 minutes of him arriving, he’d done everything I listed above,*CHANGED MY TIRE*,and taken my Zelle payment.
I mean…you get what you’re paying for here. Speed/efficiency/reliability. I mean what other place do you know that if anything happened at all to something they’d sold you/service you’d been provided that you could call them whenever you had an issue and they’d ALWAYS fix it- same day if not same HOUR? While you’re thinking about that…
I know at first the price they give you might seem steep. Please consider they’re even open 24/7. And COME TO YOU. I think 200+ dollars for all of that AND THE GUARANTEE- like come on. No brainer in my opinion but I understand if you can’t afford that- you simply can’t afford that. But my safety and my family’s safety personally? Knows no budget. And it’s quality work. So all this to say - you are GETTING your MONEYS WORTH.
As far as “Dad” himself? He’s a character. From his work trucks (one has a Barbie head on the back that looks like she’s seen better days lmao or the funny little space ship looking one lolol) just an all around character. Funny-charismatic-somewhat eccentric Dad of Dad of the Roads is hard working, persistent with even the most stubborn of tires, honest, and fair. What could have been truly a traumatic experience(s) was so much better once he got there, and I left smiling.
In this life, most people want to screw you over- either now/upfront or later on/when you least expect it. To know that there is someone that’ll COME to YOU 24/7- no matter where you are in the DMV and won’t leave until the job is done, doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty while you watch comfortably, will be fair and try and work with you, and is reasonably priced- truly a one of a kind service- just like him. That’s all I can say. After typing up a whole book of a review lol but I had to say it and give the man his flowers!! Happy holidays everyone and stay safe!
