Josh and Jim did an excellent job. From a walk thru to be sure we were clear on where everything would go to hard, diligent work checking and triple checking their work as they went. They were thoughtful to us and respectful of our home. Vacuuming and laying down protection on floors and taking all recycling and trash with them. The estimate was professional and insightful. They drove a long way for a three day installation. I would highly recommend Custom Climates.

Had a mini split system installed and it was a great experience. Less than a year later a part had failed (an issue with a special allergen filter I opted to add on not a part of the mini split. Mitsubishi system runs like a dream). Wesley came out same day after hours, diagnosed the issue, and had it fixed same day! Above and beyond doesn’t say enough about this company. I would recommend them for any and all HVAC installs and needs!

Margarita was very nice and was a pleasure to work with. Brian came out to take a look at moving some (A/C ducts and some minor repairs on central a/c). Brain was super thorough. Another person (Jon) called because (he does the installs) he didn't have the time (almost 2 weeks) to come up with written quote (6k to simply move the ducts from the middle of a room to the side) so he simply called. He was extremely rude and very argumentative (especially for someone who never came himself to look at the project). Another company provided a written quote of $2843. PLEASE do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. **** UPDATE - As you can see by Jon's response and attacks (below), you can only imagine how the conversation on the phone actually went. Everyone can have a bad day, but to make up stories to try and save face is quite remarkable. Its a customers responsibility to let others know of their experience so that others can make an informed decision on where they choose to do business, not that Jon seems to care. Hopefully, this can be a learning opportunity for Jon and he can strive to do better for current and future customers. Best of luck, Jon!

Hi Tim, I'm Jon, the owner of Custom Climates for 18 years now... Interesting that your account has only 1 review posted, a 1 star, and doesn't use your name to "warn" people not to use our company... but regardless... For everyone reading this, we did an extensive inspection and evaluation of Tim C.'s AC system and offered two solutions to moving his ductwork out from the basement along with assessing problems he is having with his AC. We were working on a quote that would address a leaking AC unit and reconfiguring the ductwork so that it would not be interfering with his headroom in the basement that he is currently finishing. Our approach was far more involved than any other company even suggested and after the initial discussion this was what Tim wanted a quote on. So while it took longer than expected, it was not straight forward as he outlines. With impatience Tim was calling asking for the quote repeatedly and so I contacted him via phone to discuss it. Without letting me explain what the quote entailed and why it may have been more, he only wanted to tell me why the job "shouldnt cost that much" and that his other quote was far less. He spent 10 min asking me questions that he wouldnt let me answer, and not listening when I was trying to explain to him that if he simply wanted the ducts moved and not reconfigured as Brian had recommended then our price would be comparable to the others. After not getting anywhere in the conversation and Tim clearly being primarily concerned about price (mentioning it with almost every statement), I found it best to tell him that I didnt think this was a job that we were interested in. It is people like this that think that contractors and tradesman don't deserve to make a living and what we do has no value because we work with our hands. I won't put my employees in a situation where they are the professionals and the ones with years of experience, certifications, and licenses... only to have homeowners like this tell them how to do their job and how much is "reasonable" for it to cost. Custom Climates has been around for a long time and our reputation speaks for itself. Had Tim done even 2 minutes of research he would have known that he was speaking to the owner of the company and not "another person"... and had he just stopped talking and listened to what I was explaining to him, he would have had his quote for around $3k... Weaponizing review sites like Google is a very common tactic for people like Tim. Unfortunately all I can do is leave a response to his 1 star.

Custom Climate HVAC is an amazing company. Great people to work with, from Steve who came to our house, and presented the options that were available for our home heating and cooling system. Steve provided us with all the information we needed to make our decision, without any pressure. Nick who came to our house and provided us with more information on how and where the heads and outside units would be installed. Then Nick coordinated and did the installation, while always keeping me informed on their progress. All the guys that came to our house to do their work were polite and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves and were very kind to our dogs. Margarita was very helpful with getting us started on the rebate, and answering any questions we had. All in all a great company to have your home HVAC system installed. Professional people with the experience and knowledge to get the work done. I definitely recommend Custom Climate HVAC. In late January our combination heat/hot water boiler died on a Tuesday and the team from Custom Climates accommodated us with a new one two days later. The owner knows his stuff, was not pushy with the estimate and he and his staff performed the work in a very courteous, professional manner. Very pleased with the outcome.

we had a new mitsubishi HVAC system [air conditioning and heat] installed in our 40 year old home in March 2023. from beginning to end, our experience could not have been better! our initial contact was Steve, who was extremely knowledgeable, explained everything to us, and answered our many, many questions. Nick and his entire install crew were great too; polite, professional, and they also went to great effort explaining the system and how it works. and they were careful not to trudge in any dirt as they went room-to-room to install the various components of the system. we had follow up questions after the install, on system operation, which Steve and Nick addressed promptly. lastly, the company offered various attractive financing options, which Steve and Tracy explained and helped us choose one that we are very happy with. if you are considering a new HVAC system, you definitely should contact Custom Climates. you will not be disappointed!

The team installed 5 mini splits and two compressors under schedule and in record heat. They did not take any short cuts, were extremely professional, thorough, very clean, and most importantly— did a fantastic job. It was worth every penny to use this company. We had 5 quotes and while this was a tad more expensive than the rest this team seemed to have the most expertise. The sales team, project manager, and installers were very knowledgeable, helpful, and easy to work with. I highly recommend this company! You get what you pay for!
