Nice place to visit! Happy staff and good prices, make a great place to be.
Unfortunately, since the change in management, this centre has been deeply disappointing.
Communication has been consistently poor, staff turnover has been extremely high, and there has been very little stability for the children. In my daughter’s room alone, there were around eight different changes to lead and supporting educators over a 12-month period. When staff left the room or the centre, this was often not communicated to parents at all, which was extremely concerning as we were left not knowing who was supervising our children.
Basic expectations were often missed. Storypark updates were minimal or absent for weeks at a time, routines were not kept up to date, and incident forms were not always lodged or communicated to me as a parent. There were also ongoing concerns around food portions, with my child frequently coming home hungry.
During the warmer months, my daughter’s water bottle was regularly empty at pick-up, which was particularly concerning in summer.
Water play was also frequently restricted, with children not allowed to use water bubbles or engage in water activities because educators did not want them getting wet.
I also personally witnessed staff yelling, speaking abruptly to children, disregarding them during moments of emotional distress, and physically manhandling children, including my own daughter. These incidents were raised with the centre, however they were not handled appropriately and were left unresolved, which was extremely distressing as a parent.
Education has been incredibly minimal. Over the course of the year, my daughter has learned very little in terms of new skills or knowledge. Most days appeared to consist largely of free play, with occasional painting or drawing activities. I’ve had to put in significant extra effort at home to make up for the lack of structured learning and educational development.
The lack of resources, particularly outdoors, was also concerning. At times there were as few as two bikes available for 30+ children, with no books, no drawing equipment, and very few toys provided. Children were largely limited to whatever equipment was permanently left out, such as climbing frames and the slide, with little effort made to rotate or introduce engaging resources.
The end-of-year portfolio was another clear example of the lack of effort. It consisted of 19 artworks, almost all painting, with only one cutting activity. There was no documentation of learning or progress, no photos of my child participating in activities, and no electronic version provided. Despite clearly stating to the director that I wanted this portfolio before my daughter’s final day, it was only completed and provided after we had already finished up at the centre, and only after repeated follow-ups with management.
Events were poorly organised, staff do not wear name badges (making it difficult to identify who you are speaking to), and issues I raised directly with management were never properly resolved. Any short-term improvements would last a week or two before things reverted back to the same problems.
Every opportunity for improvement was met with disappointment.
Many of my friends have also removed their children from the centre after experiencing the same issues, across both the same room and different classes. Some have gone as far as reporting their concerns to the Department of Early Education.
I met with the owners and raised these concerns, but nothing meaningfully changed. Overall, this experience has left a very bad taste, and I could not wait to move my child out of the centre.
I would not recommend this daycare under its current management and ownership.
We previously enrolled our son at another nearby kindergarten, but he disliked it as it felt very institutional. We transferred him to Curiosity Tree, and the change was remarkable. The staff genuinely care about the children and consistently foster positive, nurturing interactions.
From the educators and office staff to the caretakers, kitchen staff, and cleaners, everyone knew our son by name. He was always happy, engaged, and excited to attend. The staff provide genuine encouragement and also take appropriate, thoughtful measures to guide the children when needed.
We’ve been at curiosity tree for 5 months in kindy, and love that that they have a set curriculum every day, which is important for us starting prep next year, getting ready for big school, they’ve also recently done Australia zoo and bush kindy which is done every week. My son is thriving and we’re grateful for curiosity tree. The food menu is amazing and teachers are all lovely and attentive, front of house are helpful. Posts on Storypark everyday and updates on what/how much your child eats is updated regularly. Thank you for the great experience ❤️

If there is one place I absolutely love & so does my son it’s Curiosity tree morayfield.
As a first time solo mum, it’s hard not he fearful of daycare horror stories. Jazmine gave us a tour of the centre as they were closing as I desperately needed to get my child into daycare, I rocked up with tears in my eyes and left with peace of mind.
My son has some of the best and supportive teachers, a huge thanks to Chloe and Cheyenne and many of the nursery teachers, they have given so much love to my sons development & have also taught me so much, I couldn’t be more grateful. And the chefs, the chefs make such great food! (To be honest they’ve given me pressure to step my game up at home 😆 but I love the inspiration from their menus) and all the other teachers, from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out it’s always smiles & hellos even if they don’t know you. It’s a very happy environment & I enjoy coming in and out and it feels like home. Curiosity is a safe space, and I really love this place for my child, you will too

I originally picked curiosity tree based on the security of the building, I liked that the caretakers are women and location.
My son has now been attending for 6 months and when he started I was naturally very hesitant to leave him in a new environment, in saying that he is obviously the most important thing in my life so I would never leave him with anyone I felt even slightly off about, so in saying that the caretakers have my total trust and my son has grown fond of them and when I hand him over to them they are able to calm him quickly.
He has never been injured, bitten and to date he hasn't picked up any sickness from the centre.
His always in a clean nappy, never come home with nappy rash, he is always kept clean and the staff are on top of not loosing any of his clothes etc.
From my personal experience I would highly recommend curiosity tree,I have read reviews unhappy due to staff turnover but in our experience we have had the same caretakers for the past 6 months.
We don't have anything negative to say about the centre.

Wonderful centre! Our son moved here from another daycare, the transition was smooth and really well supported. His room educators are lovely and support his goals and interests. There are a lot of activities that come into the centre like yoga and ball sports which our son loves.

Hi Tayla! Thank you for the lovely review! We’re so glad to hear your transition into the Centre went smoothly and that he’s enjoying his time with us. It’s great to know he loves the extra activities too! We really appreciate your kind words and support.
We had a bad experience at this center over the course of 8 months, it had an extremely high staff turn over and there was an ongoing lack of consistency and support. I raised issues and concerns with center management on 3 seperate occasions (class ratios not being met, educators disregarding parents and children, inconsistent staffing) and these issues were addressed at a low priority with remedy actions taking weeks to occur, the second I stopped the financial debit approval from my bank account however, their head office and higher management were suddenly very interested in us and pretended to care about the feedback we had provided. In the end only 1 raised issue was addressed with everything else being either dismissed and minimised, and considering the center had a rebrand and at least 3 different people as acting manager in our 8 months attending, it made it very easy for them to push everything under the rug. Our account was paused in the end while working towards conflict resolution, and despite being told in writing that our bookings were still active, these were offered out to families on the wait list. In the end I’ve been left feeling like it was a blessing in disguise that our bookings got offered out as the head office staff’s total disregard for their attending family’s concerns would set the tone for why the center doesn’t feel that they have to address these concerns either.
There are 4/5 genuinely great staff working at the center that we couldn’t fault, but even they would make comments around the centres high staff turnover so it really does go to show the lack of support being provided by this company for both service users and staff alike.
Glad we are no longer attending here.

Thanks for the fantastic review Kirk! We are so happy to hear you are enjoying your time at Little Locals Morayfield. Thanks for joining our Centre! Thanks - Little Locals Team
My little one has been attending Little Locals Morayfield since it opened. Whilst we have seen some changes with staffing, we couldn't be happier with the way that Jan runs the centre and all the special events she puts on for the kids. She is an asset to the business! All the staff are super friendly and care for the children in an amazing way.

My son comes here and really enjoys it. I love love love the large outdoor areas that incorporate nature and sensory areas, as well as plenty of space to play.
The staff are really friendly and we instantly felt welcome.
My son loves it! Great food. Never once has my son been bitten like another childcare centre he been to. Whilst I do understand it is normal for kids to be bitten it doesn’t warrant for everyday. Therefore, I am glad my son can be himself and confident as can be. I have noticed staff has become increasingly friendly throughout this year. I have made great rapport with my sons educators and I’m so glad we chose little locals morayfield.
