Do not use them! I cannot emphasize this enough. They were unprofessional and had hidden fees. They ran the clock out, so what was supposed to be a 3-5 hour job turned into over 10 hours. I went from a quoted price of about $447 to over $1200 in cash. They even stole my Roomba and welcome mats! The head mover, James, defecated in my new bathroom for 45 minutes while his team was calling his name for help. After 45 minutes, he finally showed up, but still charged me for the time he was in the bathroom, even though no work was being done. They also had to disassemble one of my beds because they claimed they couldn’t get it out of my house, even though two years prior, I had brought it in myself without disassembling it. This added unnecessary time to the job. I’ve filed a complaint with Edgar, but he refuses to disclose his insurance company and claims he doesn’t know me.

My review is for my move on 7/8 with Pasha and Ivan. These two young strong guys did and outstanding job with my one bedroom move to a local storage unit. The job took 3 hours and they know what they are doing! I will be using them again once I purchase my home. Thanks Pasha and Ivan. See you soon.

Recently used these guys for a quick move. They arrived on time and while not incredibly personable, the 2 gentleman who did the moving were careful with my items and worked very quickly which I appreciated.
I was quoted around $340ish for my move and when all was said and done that was the cost which I also appreciated. The reason for my knock down to 1 star was towards the end of the move, the gentleman seemed confused on how I was supposed to be billed and called his main office. When he spoke on the phone he said he was a "former employee", so I'm not sure if it's a subcontracting situation or not. Thats not the end of the world as they did a fine job, but could absolutely have been friendlier.
As we're squaring up the bill he tells me the total of $240 (I put down a $100 deposit earlier) and I give him $260 and tell him to just keep the change. He counts it and starts packing up his stuff, and after we're done he says "tip?" I just tipped you and you're asking for more tip? That rubbed me the wrong way. It would also be appreciated if their workers were perhaps a bit more friendly. I most likely will not use them again based on that interaction alone.
Based on the brief email communication I received with this company after reviewing, I can tell you that you should be wary of using them as their emails are fairly unprofessional if not downright insulting to anyone with any intelligence. Make sure that if you decide to use them you tip well as per their emails, they work on a restaurant model (i.e. low pay to force customers to supplement with tips).
Edit: if you notice the replies to 1 star reviews, the company will attempt to place blame on the customer in every opportunity with backhanded comments (i.e. "we're sorry YOU misunderstood", or the ever popular "we're sorry you feel that way"). Notice they shamed my tip in their reply but glossed over everything else?

I had a great experience with Cube Moving! Pasha and his teammate were punctual, efficient and handled my belongings with real care. They made the whole process smooth and stress-free and even surprised me with a vanilla latte, which completely made my day!! Pricing was fair, no hidden fees and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend them for anyone moving in San Diego!

A bad experience moving with these guys ..
With other company it took us 700$ to move from NY to SD; and with cube moving and storage it took us 700+ to shift within San Diego (distance of 10 miles).. this is only for a 1 bed apartment move.
Will not recommend Cube Moving and Storage.
Edit: you guys are the worst; you are defending how you ripped off a customer in your responses as well; you took 5 hours to pack for a 1 bed apartment + vehicle charges on top of it; although me and my wife had already packed most of the stuff for your movers;
You response tells
how much you care for customer service.
This service was booked by my wife; I would never ever choose your worst service ever again;
You should be avoided at all costs.
Unnecessarily expensive.

I’ve used Cube moving three times in the last 3 years, & referred to a few friends to assist with their moves. They are amazing, timely, efficient & super helpful! I don’t want to move again any time soon, but if I do I’ll be reaching out to the team at Cube again

They sent me an automated text saying they were coming and when I called to confirm they said yeah that’s all you get. Then when they showed up they were very close to being late. Additionally, buried in the quote is them saying they charge double time to drive (California state law) basically 45 min drive they charge you 90 min. Technically it’s in the estimate though, just buried. But they also charged me for the movers taking ‘breaks’ which were paid breaks and I wasn’t informed of that in advance. I called and they said this is part of the federal labor law and explained I should just ‘know that’. It was nowhere to be found in the moving estimate I got and it amounted to an extra $75. Pretty disappointed to have these hidden fees sprung on me last second when moving is already costly enough.

The move was scheduled at 8-9 am arrival window, and movers arrived within one hour open window as agreed (not even 1 second late).
You have paid for 5 hours of labor only (loading +double driving + unloading, according to BHGS) , this info was sent to you via message and email , also via phone conversation. We apologize if that it was not enough and additional explanation was necessary (we will definitely take more time explaining the law to our future customers).
In regards to the breaks - any working person in USA is allowed to have 15 min break every 3 hours of work (FEDERAL LABOR CODE). We have contacted BHGS in regards to this matter and state representative told us that we do not have to explain labor code in the estimate that we send to customers; providing a Max4 Tariff booklet is more than enough. We've sent you the link to the booklet prior to the booking (according to the regulations), and we are sorry that you've missed this part in your estimate .
Please keep in mind that you did not pay even a cent for the travel to your place and back to our location , also you were NOT charged any hidden fees (please refer to the invoice and job order that was provided to you at the end of the job and via email). Please give us a call at 619-366-9806 and we will be glad to go over the invoice with detailed explanation.
Also, Your drive time from pick up to drop off was only 15 min , not 45 , so the only time you've paid for double driving time was only 15 min which is $37.25
(50 min of travel time: 25 min to get to your place and 25 min driving back was not billed, and you did not pay for 50 min of travel time, you've paid only for 15 min of double driving time)
We've billed you for the move according to the State regulations with NO hidden fees. We are sorry that state LAW may be confusing to some customers, but we are obligated to follow it.

I would not recommend them to anyone. Worst moving experience ever. They came in and started to cherry pick we will not take this will not take that. They also said they will only take certain shaped boxes not any longer boxes or luggages. Didn’t mention this to us when we booked that they don’t take luggage or certain shaped boxes. We had to move that day so we had no choice than to agree. Once they started moving every thing was so slow almost seemed like they are trying to kill time to charge us more hours. Once they were done loading they just left without letting us say or check if anything was left behind. They left many small furniture behind ( including a chair, racks for shelf, which was well packed) and many other.
Once we reached destination they just left everything in the garage. When I mentioned everything was labeled for certain rooms they just took few of the things upstairs and also left things in random rooms. Parts of one furniture in one room other part in other room. Didn’t even take 30% of the things. And whatever they took were all over the place.
I would not recommend them to anyone. Seeing their job I literally felt like I just trashed all my money for no reason.
Don’t hire them.

These guys are professionals. They helped with an urgent and complicated order - to transport photo equipment and a large glass table. They did everything quickly and well - neatly! Professionals! All items are very fragile and were delivered and installed with great care.

The team of Maurice, Best and Mikhail were outstanding. They were so kind, professional and genuinely nice people. Not a single item was damaged or lost. Especially Maurice. He was on both teams for 2 days and 3 giant trips for my family and he was fantastic, patient and such a gentleman. These guys are the real deal. Fast and professional. They pay attention and were very cautious with our belongings. Typically I move myself but they helped in a pinch very last minute and made the process seamless. Definitely worth hiring them. The owner is amazing and very understanding.
