Inshore/Scallop trip full day Dom had us for the day, needless to say pleasing our women (grown and toddler) isn't for the faint of heart! Dom was able to bring the 4 year old fun by his fast and exciting navigational skills. He put us on sizeable inshore fish. Then we finally went to the grounds and filled the coolers. At the ending, to put a cherry on top, Dominic took it upon himself to ice the scallops and filet the fish. With great hesitation, due to selfishness, I'm leaving this review for people looking. We have spoken with other captains and it seems like an obligation to deal with customers, that WAS NOT the case with DOM.

Great day fishing with Captain Kyle We had a great day fishing with Captain Kyle! We were two adults and two kids, with varying skill levels. He was patient with everyone, told us some great fishing stories, and we caught a variety of fish. Kyle worked hard to make sure we had a good time and caught fish. His boat and gear were clean and well-maintained. He also gave us some good restaurant recommendations! We will definitely be in touch when we’re back in Crystal River!

Getting Fish Against all Odds This is the 3rd trip with have taken with Dom and would not choose anyone else. He has always shown himself to be knowledgeable of the water and the best spots for fishing or scalloping, but this trip the deck was stack against him. We had 2 hurricanes in 10 days, a cold front, full moon, dead low tide, and wind gusts. Through all that he still put us on the fish. We came home after catching Redfish, Snook, Trout, Flounder, and Black Drum. We look forward to our next trip with Dom and Reel Florida.

Captain Dom - Crystal River Spent two days fishing with these guys in mid-May. Captain Dom is a great guy…very personable and professional. One of the better fishing guides I’ve ever fished. He took care of the small stuff and is very knowledgeable of the area. If you are considering fishing the flats in the Crystal River area you can’t find a better guy.

Excellent Captain Dom was professional and courteous and a blast to hang out with on a boat for a whole day. We gave him an idea what we wanted to Catch that day and he knew right where to go and where to find them. His gear and boat were in excellent condition also. He was not afraid to hunt for the fish we were after and work hard to find them. In one day we caught ladyfish, trout, pompano, sheeps head, red fish, and three 7’ sharks!! we had an amazing time and will definitely book again. Thanks captain Dom!!!Chad- Minnesota

Crystal River Adventure Captain Dom Schiandicola put us on great fish when other captains were lamenting slow days. Dom knew the specific spots where the fish were holding on mangroves and oyster beds. Sprinkled stories about the fishery with entertaining personal tales. Trophy Tarpon on a Fly Rod! Captain Kyle Messier guided a friend and myself on a 3 day tarpon adventure in June 2020. I will certainly never forget the experience of bringing in a huge tarpon on a fly rod. I have been fishing all of my life and have never had a more exhilarating experience pursuing this passion. I appreciate Kyle's skill, instruction, and patience as he guided me to this trophy catch of a tarpon that was at least 6 feet long and 150+ pounds! This was my second trip with him and I highly recommend Captain Kyle to anyone who wants to fish in the Crystal River/Homosassa Springs area - especially for tarpon.

May fly fishing with Kyle Messier I met with Kyle for three days of fly fishing for Tarpon, Red Fish, and Snook in the Crystal River area. I had not fished with Kyle before and was pleased when he wanted to put out early in the morning at 5:30 to go fish for tarpon in Homosassa. We left the ramp in the dark and were on the water when the sun rose, a beautiful sight. Within minutes the tarpon bite was on and Kyle immediately went to work putting me onto fish. Kyle fishes with intensity and is keenly aware of what is happening in the water, seeing fish where I only saw water. We fished for three days together, and I enjoyed every day. I will be fishing with Kyle again and recommend that you give him a try when you are in the area. By the way, he recommended a wonderful seafood restaurant in Crystal River that is a must try, the Seafood Seller.

Great fishing in Crystal River My kids and I had a great time fishing with Captain Kyle. He put us on some great spots.I brought my 4 kids with me and at times we were having a hard time just keeping up with them. He grew up here and has all the knowledge of the area. Fly Fishing Captain Kyle is a very knowledgeable fly fisherman and an excellent host as well. I booked two trips with him and was extremely pleased with his professionalism and hospitality during both trips. I was elated to see that his boat and equipment are top tier and that he keeps everything clean and organized. If you are looking for a great time on the water and enjoy catching fish on the fly or by conventional methods then look no further. The Reel Deal I got lucky selecting Kyle as a guide. Really nice guy and taught me a lot . Of course the main thing is to catch fish - which I did in spades ! And on a fly rig ! My arm ached the next day. Kyle is a native of Crystal River and grew up fishing there and knows the waters. I plan to return next year .

A true professional Kyle is an excellent guide. There was not a period of more than 20 minutes where we were not on fish. He worked his tail off poling through some serious wind. I had a great time and left with a lot of knowledge. If my casting was better I would have caught even more fish than we did. Highly recommended.
