I asked to fix broken Tension Assembly for Kenmore Sewing Machines. Yes, it is old. But it is simple repair, just change check spring. When shop unable to repair because NO SUPPORT Kenmore. Stupid cause. Totally disappointed.

While we do our best to service a wide range of machines, we unfortunately no longer receive parts or technical support for Kenmore models, which limits our ability to perform certain repairs—even when they may appear straightforward. This isn’t a decision we take lightly, and we understand how frustrating it can be when a trusted machine can’t be serviced.

I have gone to Creative Sewing in Spring Lake Park for years. I have bought machines there and have had brought my machines in for cleaning and repair. They are an amazing group of people. I purchased a second machine on a Thursday, then brought my first machine in for repairs the following Monday. Was told about three week. I waited two months and when I called, was told the part had finally come in from Europe and my machine and another Janome were next to be fixed. Waited another two weeks, called again and was told the part still hadn’t come in. Waited another two weeks, called and received a voicemail back from Diane saying since I had been in contact with the repair shop, I should continue talking to them. Not true. I didn’t even know there was a repair shop. Called back again. Talked to rude guy. Finally got a call from the repair shop in Golden Valley. Woman explained what was wrong with the machine, that they were still waiting for a part, the parts come from New Jersey, not Europe. Also said the Minnetonka shop told her they had called me, updated me on what was wrong and I had given my permission to go ahead with the repairs. Also not true. Luckily the repair shop allowed me to pick up the machine directly from them, without having to go back into the Minnetonka location.

Repeat customer at creative sewing center. Jane sold me my brother ps700 in 2023. It was an upgrade for me - relatively new quilter. They have been so consistently helpful since then. Fast forward and I bought my first serger and am again having a great time and blown away by the service and support from everyone at creative sewing center. Yay Pam and Nancy and Jane.

I'm brand new to sewing, and messed up my bobbin pretty badly due to my inexperience. I got thread stuck way down in the bobbin case inside my machine and everything was jammed up. I dropped by to see if I could leave my machine to get it untangled, and was surprised when a helpful guy named Bill said he could look at it and possibly fix it while I was there. It took him a good 10-15 minutes to get the machine working again and tested. And when I asked how much it cost, he said no charge! He was just happy to get me sewing again. He also helpfully mentioned that if I buy a new machine here I get free training on how to use it, lol! I will be back to buy all of my machine stuff and will definitely buy from them when it's time for a new one.

Came in with multiple issues and I was immediately helped and even taught a few new tricks. At one point I had 3 different people looking at my machine to try and help. They were able to diagnose it and let me know my options. Such kind and helpful staff! Would recommend for any sewing needs!

I brought my grand daughters machine in for tune up and cleaning, thinking I would drop it off. They took it apart, cleaned it, and taught me how to do it myself! Then tested all the stitches and it worked perfectly. They would accept no payment. I am looking into signing my grand daughter up for a sewing 101 class that they offer. Excellent, old fashioned customer service!!

Barb and Bill are the best! They both kindly stayed past closing to help me resolve an issue with the machine I bought there one year ago. They were both so pleasant and patient, trying various fixes until they solved the problem! I was able to go on my way with a working machine and a smile on my face.

I have to say Kay is bar none the absolute most knowledgeable about all of the different machines they have and how each one works! Popped in with a post it note of the needle needed as I tried to get an old sewing machine up and running again and they were fast and helpful. Once I realized the old machine wasn’t cutting it we came back and bought a new machine here and they were really helpful selecting one and helping us understand how to use it. Great shop!
