Wow! It was fantastic to have a haberdashery shop back in Dereham. Sarah has done wonders since starting. If it isn't in the shop, Sarah will order it in. I wish 'Mary' could see the shop now. I'm sure she would be very impressed. Well done Sarah-Jane your dream has become a reality.

What a gem of a shop! The owner is so helpful and went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed for a project. So much choice and reasonably priced!

Wonderful shop, so colourful. Lovely people and really helpful and they have connections with a lady who mends and services Sewing machine and is the best person I have ever used to do so. You take your machine into the shop. The lady will ring you and discuss what needs doing and the price which is really reasonable and you pick it up from the shop and my machines are in the best condition for years. Ruth Holmes

What a gem this shop is! Small but beautifully put together 🥰 If Sarah doesn't stock the haberdashery item you are looking for, she will get it for you if at all possible. The product choices are ever evolving. The shop really is the haberdashery answer to the TARDIS!! More fabrics and things you didn't realise you needed (😜) arriving all the time. Her lessons are great fun, both for gaining new skills and socially. I have also grown in confidence in the world of sewing. Sarah is passionate about her customers as well as her business. Yes it's small, but so are precious stones💎 Well worth a visit 🧵✂️🪡🧵

Sarah is so enthusiastic about this fantastic little gem of a shop. Haberdashery, so many fabulous fabrics, almost one to one sewing lessons, alterations are always taken on happily plus if she hasn’t got it in stock what someone wants then it will be there within a week. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming whether it’s only Sarah in the shop or there is a sewing lesson in progress it certainly seems the little building itself opens its arms to one and all. Great place to visit - go there and see for yourself! 🐾💕

Sarah Jane’s Haberdashery is a fabulous little shop with everything you need for sewing projects and beautiful fabrics. I highly recommend the sewing lessons - Sarah is lovely and classes are small so you get plenty of help and advice.

Sarah Jane is wonderful. I started a sewing class with her this week, and from the outset it was clear she wants everyone to enjoy sewing as much as she does. The classes are small, and everyone gets her attention. I can make a dress, but I want make it well, and be able to tackle projects without being put off by the more tricky aspects of dressmaking. Wonderful shop filled with gorgeous fabrics, trimming, accessories, pattern etc. Sarah is very helpful and full of ideas. Sewing classes are a great place to meet likeminded people, learn and share skills. I highly recommend a visit to this pretty shop!

I found this shop by accident and I'm sooo pleased 😀 All the sewing bits & bobs needed are available- there's a good range of materials which include current children's fabric like Peter Rabbit & Unicorn designs 😀

A great little shop, Sarah is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, after moving to the area I needed some alterations done, I found Sarah Jane's easily, whilst there saw that she was offering sewing classes, which was something I was interested in doing, as I hadn't touched a sewing machine since school (many years ago) Sarah has given me confidence in completing projects. Sarah is a very good patient teacher. Thank you

I love this little treasure of a shop. I attend the sewing classes on a Tuesday evening and as they are small you get the expertise and help that you need. Nothing is ever too much trouble and if Sarah doesn't have something she will do her upmost to get it in for you. There is continually new fabrics in and always a good choice of haberdashery items and fabrics. I think Sarah is doing an excellent job with what she has available to her and is constantly striving to improve and get more stock in.

I have lessons with Sarah on a Monday. There are only ever three of us, so we get all the help and attention we need. Some of us need more help than others😁. The part of the shop that Sarah has control over is beautifully displayed. If there was anything I need that Sarah hasn't got, she is a font of all knowledge and directs me to where I need to go. I understand as a new business, it's difficult to invest in lots of stock as you need to learn your customers' needs, and you can guarantee you can't please all the people all the time. I know that once she is more established, she will be able to get more stock In. We need to keep using our local businesses, or we will lose them.

This shop is a hidden gem. I have been having lessons and have gone from an ‘absolute beginner’ to learning new skills in less than 2 months. This has given me the confidence to start my own projects and Sarah has given me helpful advice. Sarah is very knowledgeable and a patient teacher. Sarah keeps the shop well stocked with all the items I’ve needed while learning, and have found some fantastic materials in the shop. 😃 I would recommend that people pop along and visit.

Sarah Jane’s is a beautiful little shop! They have absolutely made the most of the space available considering the age and size of the building. Sarah is always cheerful and helpful to everyone that comes in and she deserves every success with such hard work and dedication. It’s a happy, colourful little place, you’ll love it!

What a beautiful oasis of haberdashery and goodies and of course the very bright, friendly and most helpful Sarah Jane herself. All tucked down the most delightful little alleyway opposite Argos. I started sewing classes a few months ago and am amazed at what Sarah has managed to teach me. All done in a bright environment. Support small business.
