I ate here with some friends as a party of four in the afternoon/evening after work. The restaurant's decorations were fun and there was a spot for photo taking. It felt like it was decorated for a party and with the size of the restaurant, I know this place could hold a good amount of people in a party. Service was good. Our server was a guy and he checked on us at least once and was very friendly and funny. What we came here for was the food though, which was bomb dot com. We were ravaging everything we saw and our food tray was empty at the end save for a couple potatoes. The sauce was super good as well which is important for these types of restaurants. Definitely would go again and eat it with my friends one more time.
Shared the 1/2 seafood platter. Really delicious seafood. The spices were well done. We ordered the spicy and it was not too spicy. The Cajun fries were delicious. The service was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was very clean inside and the tables and chairs were comfortable. Would definitely recommend!
Tasty food. We got mild and it was a little spicy! Just right. The grilled veggies were delicious. The sauce is a little thick maybe they will scale it down ? I would like to try other dishes too like the pho and the noodles and catfish. Try it!
Service was good. Sauce was a 7/10 based on the flavor and the tasted ingredients. The seafood itself was not seafood. It seemed the establishment focused solely on the sauce and not pre seasoning the food. The lobster tail was cooked an 8/10 and the portion of the shrimp was great
I came in and dined in twice. The shrimp boil was good with corn, sausage, & potatoes.
Ever since getting a cup of water with this very apparent black stuff in it (maybe from the ice machine), The lady was very nice and of course gave me a new cup, but I don’t know how I feel about going back. They’ve had some health code violations in the recent years that I saw on yelp so I’m even more skeptical about going back. I’ve been debating on whether or not to post this review, but I though it was best I’d give you all a heads up.
Another one bites the dust. Such a shame, we could have been really great customers... After our initial visit, I have been telling my parents and friends about this place and was so excited to take my Dad for Father's day. They let us down in a big way. To begin with, they were enderstaffed so service was a little delayed but it was no excuse for the exceptionally poor treatment we received. On my previous visit, I ordered the half sampler. This time around we ordered the full which came out with less that the half did. (see photo from my previous review) We asked for no clams or mussels and the platter was loaded with muscles. I also had to go and find a server as they did not give us any bibs or gloves or scissors and inform them about the muscles. The person I spoke with blamed it all on his sister and walked away. She came out and apologetically brought us a bag of Shrimp. We also ordered the Mac n cheese. Last visit, we had the white which was delicious made from scratch. This time, they said they only had orange which turned out to literally be Kraft Mac n cheese and made with all butter. We also once again ordered the Tomahawk steak which came out overcooked. Still trying to salvage the dinner and enjoy the day with my Fiancee and father. We said nothing and ate. The servers either completely avoided our table or when they did walk by, they completely ignored us. Our food was very spicy, my daughter was icing her lips and not one single time did they check on us or bring a drink refill. When we finished, we sat waiting about 20 minutes still being ignored just wanting the check. Since I was paying the bill I sent the rest of my family out and proceeded to wait. Another 25 minutes of sitting there they finally noticed everyone had left. Three other tables who had sat after us were serviced and left before us. I told them how unhappy I was with the service and I was immediately handed the receipt and the card reader with a "I'm sorry, okay". That's it. I could understand maybe if they had a full house but they didn't. There were many open tables.
Kat is RIGHT! Don't let the area fool you because this is the BEST place to eat! We always go to Boiling Crab but now that I discover Crab Bite we will be coming in more often. Customer service was great & super nice! Everything looked clean as well. They definitely deserve a 5 star.
We were looking for a place to eat for fathers day both kickin crab & boiling crab had a 2hour wait and we found theis gem on yelp 10mins down my house. Best decision I had made dont let the bad plaza fool you this place is super welcoming & super clean. No wait time got our food in less then 30mins but everything me and my family ordered were on point please support small businesses 10/10
Had the privilege of sampling some delicious shrimp from Crab Bite at the Yelpies event in Buena Park, so I'm happy to be able to support a business that I got to try food from in the past! We came here around an hour or so before closing on a Sunday night, so we were the only party there and there was no wait to be seated and we didn't have to wait long for our orders to be taken and for our food to arrive. I really enjoyed the nautical, ocean theming of the restaurant and there's lots of neat places to have selfies and photo opportunities at. Lots of sea animals and fish décor hanging around and there were coral reefs and other ocean sights projected at the booth seating. We got the: 1) 2 lbs of Shrimp: -You can get this with the head and shell still on or peeled, so we opted for the heads still on for maximum juiciness and flavor. -We got this in their Crab Bite Cajun style and we also added potatoes (3 pieces - $2) and sausage (4 pieces - $4), which are pretty affordable add-ons in comparison to lots of other Cajun seafood boil places out there. -This came out piping hot, but super juicy and saucy. It's nice balance of subtle spiciness (we ordered mild), saltiness, and sourness that is soaked into all of the shrimp and add-ons. -The potatoes were sizeable pieces and not too dry nor mushy. Sausage was nice and smoky with decent sized pieces. -Definitely very filling for our party, 2) Clam Chowder: -We got this large and it came with 2 pieces of garlic bread. -Solid clam chowder served in a fancy looking bowl. Also came out piping hot and delicious. -Creamy and not too watery and a decent amount of clam bits inside. 3) Fried Cat Fish with Rice: -This comes with sautéed veggies and their Crab Bite Sauce. -We ordered this since it came with a side of rice that we shared and ate with our shrimp. -Fluffy moist catfish that was breaded to crispy, flaky perfection. Overall a great, affordable place to get Cajun seafood!
Very good hidden secret. The prawns were amazing and the sauce was just perfect. The fry sauce is also amazing. 10/10, very nice appreciative staff make the vibe. I feel good about spending my money here
Restaurant was nice on the interior. Lanny was great. She provided great service and was great with conversation as well. The fried calamari was delicious. We had the seafood sampler and it was great. The fries were seasoned right and tasted great. The cajun sampler was good with a mix of crustaceans and spiced to taste. The green thai iced tea was a sweet surprise as well.
Okay guys, buckle your seat belts for this one... DO NOT LET THE SEEDY STRIP MALL LOOK deter you from enjoying one of the BEST MEALS you have every had!! It's a cute restaurant sporting a mermaid like under the scene ambiance. I personally enjoyed the separate curtained tables.. something about having the extra space when your eating like a savage, and trust me you will not be able to help yourself when the flavors of this food starts dancing on your palette. Our server was super sweet and his mom even came out to greet us and thank us for dining. She's the magical kitchen wizard that makes it all happen. I'm attaching quite a few pics with descriptions. Is it pricey? A bit but I would gladly work a few overtime hours to frequently dine lole a king here. I promise you this place gives Gordon Ramsey a run for his money.
OMG seriously the best food we’ve had. Get the plate for two and bring your SO it’s so freaking good. We’re from AZ but if we come back we will definitely be stopping again!
They added some new items to their menu. I've tried all of their Pho now and you can't go wrong with whatever selection you choose (some days I feel like beef and others the chicken (one of the best chicken pho, I've had so far)). They also have eggrolls now. The calamari is one of the best and highly recommend that was well (the sauce is fire). The seafood has always been good, the seasoning is delicious. The garlic noodles with ribeye or salmon is great and ask for veggies add on.They are now open earlier at 10am, so I tend to come during my lunch break. Oh and they serve alcohol here so on a Friday sometime I'll grab a drink to wind down the work week. The service is great here, very attentive and friendly. They are a small family business and you get that home cook meal feeling while here.They have plenty of seatings and handful of TV with different things playing, can catch a game to watch. Overall a great experience and the food hits the spot each time.
This is some of the best seafood I've had in a while!It was extremely delicious and fresh.My favorite was the Lobster Tails with Medium spice and their Cajun fries... so bomb.Service was excellent, super friendly staff.I recommend 100%
