Go anywhere else The first aid portion of the course I had taken was not AHA registered. This resulted in me having to retake the entire CPR/First Aid/AED course somewhere else because no one in my area offers a stand alone first aid course. I have lost 3 weeks of pay due to this and was denied a full refund. Beware. I got an email shortly before class started saying I had to purchase an e book for the class as well that was never mentioned during the course. Wish I could give zero stars. Beware!

Unprofessional and insensitive instructor Although the class was informative, the instructor along with a fellow EMT in the class were very unprofessional and insensitive when discussing their experiences with patients in front of the class. Laughing and joking around about how much Narcan they’ve had to use on a patient “who was foaming at the mouth”, joking about how moms will never admit their child is an addict yet those moms are ones who carry Narcan, and on and on for 15 minutes while the class was sitting there waiting to take the test. After the test, I went up front and addressed my concerns to the instructor about how making light of an overdose was insensitive and joking around wasn’t acceptable, but he didn’t want to hear it, was in denial about the way he acted and missed the point I was trying to get across to him. No compassion whatsoever. What a jerk!

Poor logistics for training class Very disappointed with the logistics of this course. Directions to the classroom were lacking, and there was no signage outside or inside of the building. We did not have contact information for the instructor. After calling the helpline we were told to go to a hallway but the door was locked. After banging on the door someone came to let the three of us in. The class had started and we missed the first 4 modules. The instructors refused to make up the missed information. I do not recommend this training company.
