I have had an excellent experience with this practice, specifically Lindey R. as my therapist. She is immensely kind, compassionate, and empathetic but also challenges me during each session. I was looking for support with anxiety, depression, and overall negative thinking, and I have been able to explore multiple avenues to help with these issues I knew I had, along with some that have come up along the way.
Much like many other people struggling with mental health, I was hesitant to reach out for help; however, meeting with Lindey for the last couple months has been nothing but a positive experience. My sessions have turned into a space where I feel comfortable sharing intimate personal details with a person who listens and engages with me in an exceptionally professional manner. If anyone reading this is on the fence about seeking out mental health help, please give it a chance.
I think that so far this has been a good and easy company to work with as a patient BUT I do think more staffing is needed in regard to scheduling and inquiries. The receptionist usually does not answer the phone and is unpleasant to speak to sometimes.
I've had a wonderful experience with NP Allison Six, she is friendly, kind, and passionate. I would highly recommend her.

I have to offer mixed reviews of the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh. My family utilizes the services of 3 therapists and the clinical care we have received has been excellent. HOWEVER, the administrative policies are not family friendly or supportive. They have eliminated allowing patients to email with their providers, removing a level of personal attention I had come to appreciate. They charge $150 for an ACCIDENTAL missed *15 minute* appointment. It is absolutely exorbitant. When I called to request leniency on this, as along time patient and a first-time late cancel, they fell back on "it's our policy". As an organization, this feels like big business more than client care. I will seriously be re-considering where my family seeks treatment.

Thank you for your feedback. Our cancellation policy helps ensure we can serve as many people as possible who need mental health support.
When appointments are cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, it's often too late for us to offer that time slot to someone else who may be waiting for care. This policy is standard across mental health practices and helps us maintain consistent access to services. We make sure to review this policy during intake and include it in all our communications so everyone knows what to expect.
Any patient can communicate directly with their providers; however, to maintain the highest level of privacy and security, all provider communications are through our secure patient portal. This ensures that any messages are fully protected and compliant with privacy regulations.
We encourage any patients with concerns, questions, or complaints to contact us privately at info@counselingwellnesspgh.com or 412-322-2129.

I would avoid this practice the best you can, this practice is extremely unprofessional, they will provide your personal information to anyone who calls and doesn't verify if it's actually you on the phone. The first therapist I saw was already quitting the practice and I transferred over to another therapist who spent more time talking about nonsense then actually assisting with the issues being brought up. After two months there was 0 progress as the sessions with said provider were just non sense. Even when they called to set up an intake appointment they were extremely rude and anyone I called to speak with. I found out that they deleted my initial intake information in which the therapist I was seeing actually didn't know anything about the issues I was seeking therapy for and was just guessing. I know their response to this will be their copy and pasted response to bad reviews. It's truly unfortunate this center operates so poorly. Disgusting behavior overall.

We take concerns about privacy, professionalism, and quality of care very seriously. Protecting client information is a core priority for our practice, and we follow verification and confidentiality procedures in our communications.
We understand the importance of finding the right therapist, and it’s not uncommon for individuals to feel that a particular therapist may not be the best fit. In our practice, we have over 100 experienced therapists, each with their own specialties and approaches. We are happy to help connect individuals with a therapist whose style and expertise align with their needs.
While we can’t discuss specific situations publicly, we encourage anyone with concerns, questions, or complaints to contact us privately at info@counselingwellnesspgh.com or 412-322-2129.

Horrible. Signed me up for therapy appointments I never asked for and charged me. Turns out they were under the wrong patients name. No excuses this is a horrible company, honestly worsened my mental health with how many administrative problems occurred. Do so much better, or better yet, shut down.

If I could put a lower rating somehow I would, this program will not allow me to post a review without choosing at least one star but I truly do not rate Renee (Counselor) or Allison Six (CRNP) even that high! This is a very uncaring, money hungry, shady organization. If at all possible seek help elsewhere!

Saw Chelsea twice and will not go back. Was expecting to get feedback but not the aggressive approach she has. Having depression and anxiety, this was not a good experience.

Edit: I’m trying to get in a group to help me with life skills, and you let people in based on vibes? Seriously? guess I’m “not a good fit” then.
Been trying to get into a group here, but no one answers the phone! They call back when I’m working and can’t answer and when I finally get the time to call, nothing. I couldn’t even get info on how much the workshop was. If you can’t sign up online, maybe have someone answer the phone!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for the phone tag and understand how frustrating that can be.
We are reviewing our scheduling processes to prevent similar issues in the future. Group therapy requires an intake appointment with the facilitator to ensure it's a good fit and maintains a safe and welcoming space for all attendees, which is why online sign-up isn't available.
