Do not use this place. They are out for your money. It is ridiculous that a teenager goes for therapy and misses an appointment that they charge $120.00 cancellation fee. The co-pay is only 20.00. Go somewhere else. They are a money hungry agency.

Thank you for your feedback. Prior to their appointment, all clients fill out intake forms that are signed and indicate our cancellation policy and fees. We also send out email communications advising clients to contact their providers directly for any cancellations. We have implemented this approach to make it as easy as possible for clients to communicate directly with their providers, eliminating the need to call or email reception for cancellations. Our fee structure, aligned with industry standards, is designed to ensure fair compensation for high-quality mental health services. The 24-hour cancellation notice, associated fees, and authorization for charges are common practices that promote fairness for both clients and therapists. We encourage any patients with concerns, questions, or complaints to contact us privately at info@counselingwellnesspgh.com or 412-322-2129.

So far so good. Aala is very personable and does more than just listen. I feel very comfortable being candid with her. I would definitely recommend her at this point.

I felt like Kelsey was in over her head. We came to her for help and she basically let us argue the entire session without interjecting to offer any type of solution. There was zero guidance! I know therapists don’t have a “magic wand”, like Kelsey mentioned but she literally did nothing! Expect for ask us about our hobbies and if we like our jobs! There was no evaluation, no asking us what we loved about each other, no solution of any kind! It didn’t not feel safe! She didn’t hide her facial expressions at all! Do not go to her if you’re trying to mend your relationship!

My therapist was excellent but the billing department pushed me to seek care elsewhere. There were constant issues and surprise charges, and whenever I reached out to inquire about them, the billing department was unhelpful and on a few occasions immediately had an attitude. It's unfortunate because my therapist was top notch.

First off the therapists and PAC are second to none. But as a former employee. Management is beyond clueless. It potrays one way and completely acts in another. Unfortunetly things had not worked out with company. Was in training and i was notified of my dismissal through an email. No face to face or write up. This is the kind of smoke and mirriors upper management uses. As an an employee fornerly. What you see is definetly not what you get. Stay clear of this place.
Reply from Counseling & Wellness Center of Pittsburgh 2024-02-06
We appreciate your positive comments about our therapists. Regarding the circumstances surrounding the dismissal, it's important to provide clarity that it was due to a mismatch between the experience level initially presented and the specific job requirements. As the situation progressed, it became apparent that there were some gaps between the skills needed for the role and those that were able to be provided. Our focus is on ensuring the needs of our organization could be adequately met in order to provide the best service to our clients. It is understandable that this may have been a challenging situation, and we regret any frustration or confusion it may have caused. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

an honest review I did not have a good experience here. I only had one visit and I left very disappointed. My therapist was not friendly at all and made a few comments that left me uncomfortable. In the session, she kept looking at me up and down and I felt very judged. I wish I read the reviews earlier for this place because it seems a lot of them lack compassion and only care about the money. I called to cancel 4 times and no one answered. I emailed and no one answered. Finally I called the main number instead of my location's number and a woman was able to get them cancelled for me. I was very disappointed and will be looking elsewhere.

Don’t go here! Will charge your debit card (without your consent) $200 in the middle of the night for an appointment cancellation. But office was unresponsive when I tried to call in to reschedule the appointment.

Dr. Monica Conn has allowed me access to a medication provider who listens. That is rare. She not only listens, but works with you to to provide what you need as an individual with no stigma attached to requests for medication changes or reviews. I could not be more thankful for her services and the ease of access to a provider who is smart, compassionate and professional. Thank you!

Patient app was great for communicating with the therapist. However the therapist did not display the skills to support me in any level of growth nor did she provide me with any tools or skills to work through my challenges.

This place is awful. A disabled veteran went to them explaining his sessions with his ex were not good for his mental health and asked to do sessions separately until he was in a better mind set, the counselor (Sam- 1000% DO NOT RECOMMEND) said separate sessions were fine. Told them monthly sessions were fine, then switched it to weekly and told this patient that individual wouldn’t be offered after all. This therapist is awful and doesn’t actually care about the patient, just cares about $$$. Sam doesn’t actually listen to both sides and doesn’t care about his patients mental health, even after the patient has begged for some type of help. Sam’s response is “I talked to a supervisor and this is what I was advised, but you can find another facility”. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!! They are absolutely AWFUL!!!
