Missed an appt and got charged $175. Spoke to multiple ppl just for them to say it’s policy. They weren’t understanding and wouldn’t even reduce the fee. It was the 1st missed appt and not from a serial offender. It’s very disappointing and unethical especially coming from an establishment whose main focus is patients wellness. Besides that they seem decent and helpful. Just whatever you do DON’T miss an appt.

Thank you for your feedback. Prior to their appointment, all clients fill out intake forms that are signed and indicate our cancellation policy and fees. We also send out email communications advising clients to contact their providers directly for any cancellations. We have implemented this approach to make it as easy as possible for clients to communicate directly with their providers, eliminating the need to call or email reception for cancellations. Our fee structure, aligned with industry standards, is designed to ensure fair compensation for high-quality mental health services. The 24-hour cancellation notice, associated fees, and authorization for charges are common practices that promote fairness for both clients and therapists. We encourage any patients with concerns, questions, or complaints to contact us privately at info@counselingwellnesspgh.com or 412-322-2129.

edit // 3/19/24. i can't recommend strongly enough that folks STAY AWAY from this provider. they do not care about you or your mental health. they do not care about me as a person; they have shown first and foremost that they care more about money. i would never recommend this provider to anyone. ____ my therapist (lauren b.) is wonderful, but the customer service at cwc is absolutely atrocious. i also do not recommend seeing psychiatrist monica conn if you are acutely unwell. edit (response to reply from business): i contacted CWC repeatedly via phone and email with my concerns and complaints - and i was helped somewhat, but the issues were not handled well / were not fully resolved.

Easy and convenient to find a counselor. Easier than going through my insurance provider.

Do not use this place. They are out for your money. It is ridiculous that a teenager goes for therapy and misses an appointment that they charge $120.00 cancellation fee. The co-pay is only 20.00. Go somewhere else. They are a money hungry agency.

So far so good. Aala is very personable and does more than just listen. I feel very comfortable being candid with her. I would definitely recommend her at this point.

I felt like Kelsey was in over her head. We came to her for help and she basically let us argue the entire session without interjecting to offer any type of solution. There was zero guidance! I know therapists don’t have a “magic wand”, like Kelsey mentioned but she literally did nothing! Expect for ask us about our hobbies and if we like our jobs! There was no evaluation, no asking us what we loved about each other, no solution of any kind! It didn’t not feel safe! She didn’t hide her facial expressions at all! Do not go to her if you’re trying to mend your relationship!

My therapist was excellent but the billing department pushed me to seek care elsewhere. There were constant issues and surprise charges, and whenever I reached out to inquire about them, the billing department was unhelpful and on a few occasions immediately had an attitude. It's unfortunate because my therapist was top notch.

an honest review I did not have a good experience here. I only had one visit and I left very disappointed. My therapist was not friendly at all and made a few comments that left me uncomfortable. In the session, she kept looking at me up and down and I felt very judged. I wish I read the reviews earlier for this place because it seems a lot of them lack compassion and only care about the money. I called to cancel 4 times and no one answered. I emailed and no one answered. Finally I called the main number instead of my location's number and a woman was able to get them cancelled for me. I was very disappointed and will be looking elsewhere.

Don’t go here! Will charge your debit card (without your consent) $200 in the middle of the night for an appointment cancellation. But office was unresponsive when I tried to call in to reschedule the appointment.

Dr. Monica Conn has allowed me access to a medication provider who listens. That is rare. She not only listens, but works with you to to provide what you need as an individual with no stigma attached to requests for medication changes or reviews. I could not be more thankful for her services and the ease of access to a provider who is smart, compassionate and professional. Thank you!

Patient app was great for communicating with the therapist. However the therapist did not display the skills to support me in any level of growth nor did she provide me with any tools or skills to work through my challenges.
