I once tried to purchase some MtG product from this store and when asking one of the employees about said product was ignored for awhile - then was lashed out on by employee. Not a good experience, staff definitely didn’t create an inviting environment.
My reaction was to just take my business elsewhere.
I called to ask availability on some recently released product, once they said it was available I asked what their prices were. They are charging more than $40 above market prices. They are quick to pay 50% value for trades but when asked if they would negotiate I was told no. I then asked about another product and price and it was $15 above market. As much as I’d like to support my LGS it’s hard to do when they charge over market for product. Especially since it’s indeed it be sold at MSRP. This is why less and less people are getting into the games.
As someone who buys and sells cards for a living, I would never recommend this shop to a collector. They quote 75% buys on premium product (most dealers will pay you 80-90% on premium product) and quote one thing over the phone and change it when you get in store just 3 days apart. This is the type of card shop that drives people to whatnot and eBay.
We went to one of their trading events and it was awesome! My son is a beginner and everyone there was helpful and very patient. There was free pizza, pop, and goodie bags for the kids. As well as a free drawing every half hour. I would recommend joining them or stopping by for your Pokemon, Lego, and sports collectibles.
