I came across the cornice store as I had a very expensive quote from my builder. I rang around to other plaster cornice stores and they were equally expensive. Plus I had to pay a lot for the initial mould.
The cornice store gave a much cheaper quote. I was a little doubtful- you know, you get what you pay for but I went ahead anyway. I gave him a small sample and a few days later, 15m of cornice.
It’s a foam product, so very light. I was a bit concerned for the plasterers and the painters but I came up beautifully. You can not tell the difference from plaster to foam.

Schalks advice on style and size was spot on, we love the final result.
We had a tricky area to deal with around the built in robes in the bedrooms, but the cornices were so much easier to navigate this area than traditional heavy ones would have been!
Same with the attic ladder door, it would be impossible with plaster cornices!
So grateful to have found these guys and experience fantastic communication and customer service the whole way through! Highly recommend!
We ordered this profile to cover up some old decorative cornice that would have damaged the existing plasterboard. After working with Shalk and providing the measurements of the existing cornice he assured us this would fit, and it fits like a glove. The plasterer had experience with the foam cornice and did a great job with the joins. The foam is now ready for the painter to come in to prime and paint. The guys at cornice store are absolute legends... They couldn't honestly be any more helpful and accommodating on every level as yet.. the product itself is awesome to work with, is so light and easy to handle from transport to literally throwing it up single handedly using products that go I've you more working time than traditional cornice which eases the stress of constantly mixing up buckets of mud and all of that. There's minimal risk to nearly no risk of damaging through transport as they custom pack your lengths, compared with traditional cornice where you have to fully plan from the start to where it's even going to be stored on site so it doesn't get destroyed.. you really have to try it to be able to experience what it offers coz a review simply isn't long enough and still won't do justice..

Fab experience from initial enquiry to my putting them up. Schalk helped design simple and elegant pelmets for our apt to hide the tracks of newly installed curtains. So easy to instal and to cut tricky angles. Yet to be painted. A fantastic alternative to traditional timber or plaster pelmets. Highly recommend the Cornice Store and Schalk!

I found The Cornice Store via a Google search when I was looking for something a little bit more exciting than the 900 mm plain cove cornices that Bunnings were selling. I rung the number and spoke to Schalk who ended up helping me throughout the whole process. It was very smooth and very responsive. I had a million and one questions since I was new to renovating and Schalk answered all of them with patience and expertise. I requested for photos of real homes so I could compare how the diff cornices looked like once up. Also pricing on various sizes as they’re able to tailor / customise. Very happy with the service. Productive was so quick, done in a day and sent the next. Honestly have never experienced custom building materials and goods being delivered so fast. Great product sold by good guys.
Installed to lounge, kitchen and three bedrooms in about 5 hours. I had my painter, Air Con guys and electrician there on the day. None could believe how light it was or how quickly I got it done. Painter even took some off cuts as samples to show some of the builders he works with.
