Absolutely fantastic piece of equipment
Absolutely fantastic product. With lots of niggling injuries from a multitude of sports over the years, my balance has slowly worsened so I looked into this as a means to reverse said deterioration.
Having a GiBoard and a Steadysole already, I'm well aware of the benefits such pieces of equipment can have and was delighted to find that, on top of the inherent benefits, the Coolboard is immense fun. The sensation derived can be likened to snowboarding. Very zen. As for the benefits - it is a workout due to the engagement of various stabilising muscles which leads to improved posture, balance and general muscle health. I can feel the difference in 4 weeks or so.
On another note, the quality of the product is top-notch. I'm a tinkerer and DIYer and have made cabinets and a (very solid) shed from scratch - I promise you that you will not be able to make this yourself no matter what the Facebook DIYers say. At least not for the cost you're getting it at from Nic.
Speaking of Nic, the icing on the cake is that he is extremely knowledgeable and generous with his time.
Suffice to say, Coolboard comes highly recommended from me.

How much fun can you have with some wood, a ball and an inflatable disc? Turns out that it's a LOT!
I thought that I'd start on the disc and work my way up to the ball. As it turns out, once you've got over the fear of getting on that ball, it's actually a whole lot easier to control then the devil of a disc.
Don't get me wrong, the disc IS easy to start with, but changing the amount of inflation makes it progressively more challenging. The experience on both is just different.
If you're looking for a new hobby that incorporates brain and body benefits, I would highly recommend investing in a CoolBoard: use your focus to stay centred on the ball/disc or crank up some music and, mindfully, bust some moves. However the mood takes you, your CoolBoard will work with you.
Additionally, it's beautifully made and the support that you get from Nic is second to none: he'll take the time to make sure you buy what's right for your goals, and his ongoing support, with handy hints and tips to improve your CoolBoard skills is always available to you. His pride in his product and enthusiasm for making sure you enjoy it is palpable in every communication - I can't think of any other business I've ever used that I could say that about!
Great quality balance board
High quality and fun to use in the office. Great for my fidgety nature when I need to burn off some excess energy throughout the day. Hope to incorporate it into some at home workouts soon!
Best bit of balance, strength & conditioning equipment I’ve found.
A friend told me about coolboard quote, “challenging to start but so satisfying when you get up AND works every muscle in your body”.
The board is a quality piece of kit and delivery was fast and efficient. Nick was professional, friendly, helpful and responsive throughout.
Ive had my board for a while now and use it for 10 - 20 mins most days, it’s enjoyable and doesn’t feel like you’re exercising. I use mine for press ups, plank, dips and hip raises too which has toned and tightened my whole body. My posture is better and some old sports injuries have improved which I can only attribute to stronger supporting muscles.
I almost forgot, it’s actually quite good fun too!

High quality, fun balance board
If you are debating buying a CoolBoard but aren't sure, do it, you won't be disappointed.
My CoolBoard is amazing quality and a fantastic design, it's clearly been well thought out and carefully made. It looks great, feels great and will likely last a lifetime.
I have owned an IndoBoard with a wobble cushions and roller for over 15 years and really debated whether the extra function of the ball was worth buying another board. Eventually I bought one and don't regret it at all. I love it and use it daily without getting bored or learning something new.
It took me a few minutes to get up and going on it for short periods but it took me a week or two to learn how to control the extra motion due to the ball. Once it clicked how to control that aspect it unlocked a whole new sensation, new muscles and new balance skills. The motion is so fluid and mimmicks the motion of other board sports. It feels so natural and I enjoy learning new skills and extending the time I can stay on the board.
It's also been a great gentle core workout following an injury and can be used in many ways.
I can't recommend these boards enough, they are great fun for all the family!

I bought my CoolBoard about 8 months ago and I still use it daily.
I initially shyed away from buying one as I already own several balance boards with rollers and wobble cushions and couldn't see that the CoolBoard was worth the extra investment. I looked at buying just the ball or at cheaper alternatives but something kept leading me back to the CoolBoard. I e entually bought one and haven't regretted it for a minute. If you are on the fence about buying one, just do it, you won't regret it!
The quality is fantastic, it is clearly well made with a lot of time attention going into the design. It looks great, it feels good underfoot and will likely last a lifetime!
It only took me a couple of minutes to get up and going on it, although it took me a week or two to get the hang of the extra dimension of the forward and back motion that my IndoBoard doesn't offer. Once I clicked the ankle movement that controls that, I was away. The motion is so fluid and natural and mimmicks the movement of real board sports. It's also a great low intensity full body workout that's fun! I hhighlyrecommend these boards to anyone that has an interest in board sports!
Don't bother ! I've been waiting 3 weeks for my order and all I get from Nic is condescending replies with no solution at hand asking me to wait longer. I have repeatedly asked for the courier name and tracking number and he just blank my request and instead replied that there's some issue with the tracking number and scanning and courier is looking for my parcel. Seems like a scam and if its not then its a terrible customer service with no solution, no clarity . Im left with no refund and no product and im being asked to wait longer and it has not been specified how long either. Very vague responses full of emotional jibber jabber with a patronising tone to it. I dont not recommend this company

We always replied to the customer's emails within a couple of hours until they got particularly aggressive and nasty.
We were advised NOT to give a refund because we had completed our legal obligations.
None-the-less we gave a FULL refund because we believe in giving the benefit of doubt.
We will never know exactly what happened. The customer was very forthcoming when they wanted to be, but not so when we needed information they had to get to the bottom of what really happened. We even thought we had won them around at one point, they agreed it was a courier issue and not one of our making, and agreed to take down the false comments and review, but then things turned again.
So after many hours of attempting to make the customer happy, we are out of pocket and these lies remain in public damaging our reputation and sales.
This is the first person we have felt the need to block after 19 years of supplying CoolBoard to an overwhelmingly wonderful customer base. I would not wish this customer on anyone.
We are very gratefully that nearly all CoolBoard customers are wonderful, and that when occasionally things don't go to plan, our customers are understanding and give time for solutions to be achieved.
3 weeks and no board yet delivered.
Ordered on 20th August. Its 4th September now and all i got is a lot of jibber jabber from Nic , condescending voluminous emails containing zero information about solutions and zero information about the estimated day of arrival of this parcel. I have asked for tracking number several times too and he just keeps avoiding the subject. In his email 4 days ago he said "...Alas I now have to wait for up to three days for a response from the couriers...". I contacted him today again and he said "...It has only been 4 days since you let me know there was a problem. You can raise a case with PayPal if you like. They will tell you the same..."
Plus a lot of condescending irrelevant jibber jabber and still no solution.
I wouldn't trust them ever again and starting to think this is a SCAM and im rising it as one with PayPal. No money no board and no answers or even a tracking number. Liars and con men if you ask me. Just trying to buy themselves more time with lies.

Balance board seems incomplete
Is just a flat piece of plywood with a bar. Typically the ones with balls have a fence. Seems dangerous.
We are sorry for the confusion and disappointment. You did message us via the Amazon system, we responded within 24hrs, but we'd didn't hear back, so we assumed you were now happy with your purchase after reading our explanation. We are very sorry we now find out you are not happy.
To explain with information we didn't have at the time - We now know we have been having problems with Amazon displaying incorrect item photos and details, which has lead to a couple of customers being disappointed by their purchase of the BareBones board, expecting it to be more like our premium boards. We are very sorry you are one of these customers.
I wish you'd have let us know you were still not happy - we could have looked for a solution. Please do get in touch if there's something we can do.
While we continue to work with Amazon to get this sorted, we are now messaging every customer who buys a BareBones Board via Amazon to check they know what they are getting, and to give them the chance to cancel the order if it is not what they want.
Thankfully this is not an issue we have with our website, where we choose exactly which words and images are used so we make sure they are correct.
To explain to anyone else reading this - We introduced the BareBones Board as a reaction to the cost of living crisis. With the cost and prices of our premium boards going up we wanted to offer a balance board that gave a good balance experience of riding a ball at a much lower price point.
So the BareBones Board is the no frills all the thrills board. Compared with our premium boards, it goes without the safety ring, the lacquered finish, and the ComfrotTop, and it is supplied with our Small Ball. We focussed on how to provide the joys of proper 3d balancing on the Ball for as little as possible.
So yes, essentially it is a board and a ball. The board is as simple as possible to keep the price down, but it is still made to our quality, from top quality birch ply, perfectly shaped with smooth rounded edges, finished with a laser etched logo, and most importantly, the ball is one of our Balls. Our unique Balls are what make all of our balance boards rise above the rest in terms of movement, making it both attainable for most people whilst being so good it's addictive.
All of our other Boards do have our safety ring, are finished in 4 coats of lacquer for lasting good looks, topped off with our ComfortTop, and come with the even better performing Medium Size Standard Speed Ball.

Quality balance board, disc and ball!
You notice improvements pretty quickly, gives the thighs a great workout. Have pretty much mastered the disc but the ball is still really tough, requires a huge amount of concentration and I can't be out of arms reach of the kitchen cupboards! One day I'll manage more than 5s....
Awesome piece of kit; oozes quality. I’ve owned a bunch of balance boards; this leaves them all in the dust. The price doesn’t feel high when you get hands-on with it; it feels like buy-it-for-life, display-on-the-wall-when-not-using-it material.
I’m a big guy and I feel totally secure on the board, it’s incredibly rigid. Balancing on the ball is easy to start but hard to master, and it’s a kind of full-body, full-brain meditation. It’s addictive!
If you’re on the edge about it, trust me that you’ll appreciate the quality LONG after you’ve forgotten the cost.
After a knee injury a friend gifted me an older Coolboard and balance pad to help recover, which despite its age is absolutely immaculate - the construction is bomb proof!
After getting used to that I purchased a proper ball to go with it, and despite a complication with the courier Nic came through for me and I’m now the proud owner of an amazing balance board.
I ordered the largest, quickest ball, but you can vary the speed with the floor surface - since getting it I’ve spent a couple of hours on squidgy foam mat, and now moved on to carpet. It’s very meditative, and extremely addictive.
I highly recommend the company and the product, you won’t be disappointed!

I am not one of those young boarders with springs for knees. Firmly into middle age, Early in the year I had a fabulous holiday.There was a boating trip that had a floating jetty. I had to be held & escorted like Dame Edna Everage in ridiculous heels.I vowed to be prepared for the next water extravaganza and bought this in preparation of washboard abs and skimming the waves.Turns out you actually need to use it! I am now doing 10 mins a day (approx 3 songs).I am still obviously on the wobble board. I have discovered that feet have muscles and mine are woefully inadequate. My achiilles is being gently stretched (as not the trampoline fiasco 2022) and my core has gone from humiliating to very embarrassing.It helps and improves balance coordination and the proccipital thingy. Although it seems geared for young and sporty stuff. It does help maintain the very unobvious stuff that keeps our bits working.I will update further once I have practically used consistently.
