Overall, I had a positive experience with Overstock Appliances in Paramus. From the time I walked into the store till the day my appliances were delivered was a smooth and easy process . They gentlemen in the store were helpful and informative.
The gentleman, Ari and Juan who delivered our appliances, were careful and hardworking as well as respectful while bringing our appliances into the house. .
No problems with this purchases thank goodness.
It’s been since November 2020 and I am still dealing with the junk OA sold me. They have sold us a stove that hazardous with a damaged gas line! Literally could have blown up my house and killed us!
It’s been disconnected by PSEG due to a gas leak last November. They then passed me over to the manufacturer who literally would leave me on hold for hours at a time. Then in April 2021 i got a replacement stove. With no help from OA. This was constant calling the manufacturer myself. We are now back with the same issue. 6 months later and PSeG shut the new one off as well. Same issue.
Of course because I bought it from OS I am out of the money and with no available recourse but to hire a lawyer. Twice I’ve been put in danger and will not have the option of getting my money back!

First of all, let me just say that Overstock Appliances in Paramus, NJ is NOT the same company as Overstock.com online - they are two separate entities although it is probably a common misconception, one that my husband and I originally made ourselves. Instead, Overstock Appliances is a family owned business--yes that elusive gem where people actually concern themselves with giving you the guidance, care and consideration plus the best deal they can since it reflects on their good name! Greg was wonderful to work with and he gave us options about a new refrigerator and let us talk between ourselves to come to a decision. We absolutely made the right one for us and will be going back when the need warrants it. From the purchase to the actual delivery we were not disappointed and the delivery crew was wonderful! As a matter of fact, other appliance stores did not have the model we wanted in stock and wanted us to wait 1 month instead of a few days for delivery. We firmly recommend you seek out Overstock Appliances in Paramus - you won’t regret it!
I had a very pleasant experience working with Greg! We communicated through phone calls and text messages and he always responded quickly to every question and made the whole process smooth and stress-free… especially because I was not able to be in the store in person to make my purchase.

Do not buy your appliances from here. We placed a very expensive order: a Frigidaire column fridge and freezer with trim kits, a Maytag washer and dryer, and a Bosch 800 series panel ready dishwasher. The total was around $11k, similar to other stores, but we chose this place for the convenience of getting everything delivered and installed together. That ended up being a huge mistake. At the first delivery, the dryer arrived broken, at least they acknowledged that proactively. They installed the washer and dishwasher without issue, but when they got to the fridge/freezer, the trim kits were missing parts. This wasn’t the store’s fault, but they said they would handle it. This was two weeks before Thanksgiving, and we were hosting. After days of back and forth, they finally told us the install would happen before Thanksgiving, but it ended up scheduled for the day before. We tried to confirm the delivery window and were only told “PM. The installers showed up at 6pm on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. They spent about two hours installing the fridge and freezer, then went upstairs to install the dryer. When we checked the fridge/freezer, we realized the trim kits were barely attached, literally hanging by a single screw at the top instead of the side supports that are part of the installation. They claimed they didn’t have the correct parts, which wasn’t true. When the trim kits were originally missing pieces, Frigidaire had sent an entirely new, unopened trim kit, meaning there were more than enough parts. They simply didn’t want to do the work. They left around 9pm the night before Thanksgiving with the trim kits dangling. They also dented the fridge during installation and never said anything. It’s not in an obvious spot, so maybe they didn’t notice, but when you spend $3,300 on a fridge, you expect it not to be dented on day one. They also didn’t remove any of the interior or exterior tape or stickers. We had to unscrew drawer slides and handles ourselves just to get the packaging off. Upstairs, we discovered they attached the dryer duct without trimming it, so our dryer now sticks out from the wall. By this point we were exhausted and still needed to grocery shop because we didn’t have a fridge/freezer until this was installed. Then on Thanksgiving morning, we went to run the dishwasher for the first time and discovered the top utensil rack wouldn’t open. That’s when we saw the entire top of the dishwasher was dented. So again, another expensive appliance was damaged, and this time it affected functionality. A brand new $1,400 dishwasher, and we couldn’t even use the top rack. The “installation” you pay for here is careless, rushed, and honestly worse than if they hadn’t offered installation at all. They broke our outlet cover, dented multiple appliances, incorrectly installed trim kits, left packaging everywhere, and cut corners at every step. Their delivery timing was awful, and the overall experience was a nightmare from start to finish.
Save yourself the stress and get your appliances anywhere else unless you truly don’t care how they look or function. This was one of the most frustrating home- related experiences we’ve ever had, and we regret choosing this store.

First, the damages referenced to the appliances were manufacturer-related and occurred prior to delivery. Because appliances arrive factory sealed, these issues are unfortunately not visible until the products are unboxed inside the customer’s home. Once any concerns were identified, we immediately began working toward solutions and coordinating with the manufacturers involved.
It is also important to note that this delivery took place immediately before Thanksgiving during one of the busiest periods of the year for both deliveries and service coordination. We are not aware of a single delivery company anywhere, that would deliver on the eve of a major holiday, when normally our team would be home spending time with their families. Despite an extremely high seasonal workload and scheduling pressure, we made every effort possible to accommodate your requested timeline so you would have functioning appliances before the holiday. This included multiple service trips requiring over an hour and a half of travel each way on three separate occasions in an effort to address concerns and complete the installation.
Regarding the outlet cover mentioned in the review, our installers discovered that the receptacle and cover plate had been improperly aligned prior to installation, which prevented the dryer cord from seating correctly without adjustment. Additionally, the trim kit installation was complicated by the surrounding cabinetry and window trim clearances, which limited proper fastening access and required additional adjustments onsite.
While many of the issues described were outside of our direct control, we still dedicated substantial time, labor, and resources toward assisting the customer because customer satisfaction has always been more important to us than profit. We understand the frustration that can come with appliance delays and installation challenges, especially during a holiday week, and we genuinely attempted to go above and beyond to help resolve every concern presented to us.
We respectfully feel this review does not fully reflect the extensive efforts made by our team throughout the process. I'm writing the review with a heavy heart. The people working there are the nicest people. Mr Mohammad, James are the sweetest people. They met us with hospitality, offered coffee, water and spend a lot of time to help us choose what we could afford to get. We missed the ongoing discount offer back then but they assured us that we would get rebate from GE if we bought bundle. We did. But turns out the paperwork wasn't complete for us to apply for the rebate. GE online application didn't go through, and I've been trying to get correct paperwork from Overstock Appliances ever since. I called, texted many times, I've stopped by their office and still no good. I love the people working in there, but I wouldn't do business with them ever again. Their after sales service is disappointing. I truly believe they should receive negative review to work on how they do their business.
