The first approvement is done automatically and only in a 2nd step our legal expert researches the details and talks to a local lawyer about the detail of the case. "Out of scope" probably means that we can not execute or sue in the country or region of your flight (but I have to guess as I do not have the exact details of your case). The most common reasons are that we know that a specific court in a specific country is not able to handle a case in a appropriate time window. The 2 mentioned airlines nearly never pay voluntarily for this reason we think it the correct way to reject the case if it can not be enforced in time. I want to emphasis that we are probably one of the strongest flight claim companies in claim enforcement and we do not (like others) work with airlines but ONLY follow the interest of our customers.
