Horrible customer service. They tell you one price on the phone and then when you get there they charge you an extremely high price. Have a 7x14 dump trailer with stump grindings. They told me on the phone it would be 20 per yard. Once they ran my card they charged me 332.00. They told me after running my card that it was more dirt than grindings. Did not want to resolve the issue. The manager is less than helpful and their employees do not know what to charge for. Got to H and H if you need to dump yard debris. Horrible service.
I recently stopped in to get information on purchasing gravel, soil, and mulch.
Tracy met me and took the time to explain how to do it.
I returned a week later with a list of my needs. My purchase was refined to exactly what I needed for my project. I never felt rushed and to top it all off it was a beautiful day, and the order was delivered that afternoon. Robert the delivery person was extremely nice and helpful too.
When I look out at my "all fixed up" yard I will remember that lovely experience.
Pleasantry and happiness definitely matter in this life.
This place sucks, my friend who has no car only an electric bike wanted to scrap 4 rims he had, so I took the rims to city bark in my car, he rode his electric bike, and they wouldn't let him get the money cause he didnt bring them in the car I did, and I couldn't because I had lost my wallet a week before and didnt have an id. Plus I originally didnt even want to drive my car through the place cause I always get a nail in my tire going to those places and they wouldn't even let us walk up to the scale with the rims in hand. MADE me drive though the place. Crazy. Ill never go there again.
I’ve been dumping chips here for years and yesterday I had 4rds to dump prior to next project. They wanted $40 per yrd!!!!! That’s just crazy talk. Went to H&H and it’s $18 per yrd.
H&H people are way more professional and attitudes are great! The girl in City Bark office with Ring in her nose was not very pleasant?
My thoughts
I've been coming here for years, buying and dropping for various projects.
I had a load of dirt to drop, and they had notified me earlier (during one of three prior trips) that I should make sure there weren't any ground coverings (weed blocks). I went through each, however, I'm not perfect and I missed a small bit. Instead of having someone inspect while we dumped, and have us remove it, which would be a sensible thing. Or maybe even just charged us more, if more was found, they said, "We have to send you on your way. I saw that one scrap which you just pulled out." The implication is clear - "You are a liar who filled your load with this material. Go away."
Fine by me. Turns out there are other places in town that charge half the dump rate and aren't trying to find a way make life difficult. Cheers.
