Icky place, old, loud, musty, worn don’t stay here. No amenities. Very noisy This place is horrible. It was very old and musty. Towels were old and they didn’t even give you a wash rag. No blow dryer. No ac. Very noisy, thin walls. The sheets and coverlets are very worn. Motel 6 is better. Sleep in your car first. There is a very nice hotel next store.

Very correct Very surprised by the bad comments. On the contrary, we found the hotel comfortable for 2 nights, with hot water and a decent breakfast. The welcome is very friendly and the hotel is well located, not far from Santa Helena and Selvatura parks. Negative point, the soundproofing of the rooms and the few parking spaces. On the other hand, the night tour offered at reception for €35 is not worth the trip, even if you are transported there and back.

Établissement très moyen. Hôtel vieillot et bruyant. Pas de Wifi ni climatisation (mais pas très chaud car un peu en altitude). Salle de bain moyenne. Personnel serviable. Petit déjeuner pas très fourni. Literie un peu molle et étroite. Nous ne le recommanderons pas.

Súper cute Awesome location. Minute walk to the downtown for food and shopping. People are very nice. REALLY NICE WEATHER COLD. awesome laundry service super cheap. Gets really cold, doesn’t have air conditioning or a safe but it’s very tourist friendly. Feel very safe. Feels like a movie, really the experience of the mountains

An old building with no heat or AC We happened to stay in Santa Elena on a cold, stormy, very windy night. Imagine our surprise to find no way of regulating temperature.... no heat, no A/C. The wifi was spotty, and there were no glasses in the room. To his credit, the night manager brought us extra blankets and an electric heater. Beware of things you take for granted!

De ideale plek voor activiteiten als Bridge walk en Canopy (ziplinen), wandelen bij Curi-Cancha, de vlindertuin en nachtwandelin Vriendelijke mensen, schoon en prima ontbijt. De kamers zijn ruim en schoon. Het is niet een heel groot resort. Ruim opgezet met leuke binnentuin met picknicktafels. Kamers wel gehorig Ligt in een mooie omgeving en 10 min. lopen naar het centrum.

Not the place. Move along The place is a real armpit. You can hear everything at nice like your camping wether you wanted to or not. The hotel aka motel had no air or fans even. The place was riddled with kids running around in the court yard. The only good things about this place was it’s location. The location was around a lot in the town.

No nos gusto La habitación es chica, sin placares. Por la noche hacia frío y no había forma de calefaccionarla. El desayuno tampoco me gustó. Por ejemplo sirven un pan caliente ( no tostado) untado con una mantequilla que a mi gusto es fea. Les pedí un pan común y me dieron un pan frío sacado de la heladera. El personal del desayuno no es amable. Para destacar la ubicación y la amabilidad de la chica de recepción

Rattled a bit in the night as it was really quite windy when we stayed. A very basic hotel out of the main town. It seemed to cater for large groups of backpackers. There was not much choice for breakfast but it was well cooked and filling. There was the most beautiful rainbow outside both mornings. As it is in the rain cloud this is a fairly regular occurrence.

Nicht zu empfehlen. Es ist kalt in Monteverde, aber das Hotelzimmer ist noch kälter. Es zieht an sämtlichen Ecken und es.gibt nur ein dünnes Laken mit einer dünnen Wolldecke. Um nachts nicht zu frieren, liegt die Tagesdecke noch oben auf, was nicht reicht. Es wäre ein leichtes für das Hotelmanagement in jedes Zimmer eine zusätzliche dicke Wolldecke zu legen.Das Bad ist alt und beim Duschen (falls es denn warm wird) hält man schnell Einzelteile der Duschmontur in der Hand.Die Zimmer sind absolut ungemütlich!Aber das Personal hat noch weniger Bock da zu sein als wir.Bei der Frühstücksausgabe fühlt man sich alles andere als willkommen, eher sogar als störend.

Basic accommodations in a beautiful place! Hotel Cipreses is a definitely a little more on the basic/rustic end of hotel stays, but if you're spending all of time exploring Monteverde it provides all you need! The location is great, very close to hiking/nature watching opportunities as well as town. Parking was a little tight as it seems there as only 5 designated spots, but the receptionists helped accommodate our vehicles without issues. There wasn't really any hot water for the showers, but we only stayed 2 nights before moving on so it wasn't a big deal to us. The breakfast in the morning was delicious!
