Extremely Disappointed
Booked afternoon tea for mother’s day. Shown to our table and just kept waiting. No drinks arrived even though our afternoon tea included a welcome drink. The afternoon tea stand came before the welcome drink which we had to chase up several times. Then the actual tea took over an hour to arrive at the table. The food was so so, the only item I can say that I enjoyed was the scones. The staff are clueless, they pretend to look busy at the bar, they need basic training. I would NOT recommend the afternoon tea at all!

Poor service from start to finish.
3 hours to get us through 2 courses is absolutely awful. Training for the service staff is needed.
Table not set for our booked time slot. Dirty cutlery replaced with more dirty cutlery and glasses.
Happy hour advertised on the menu at the table and window but apparently doesn't apply on mothers day - would have been nice to be told this as we sat down with the drinks menu or a disclaimer placed on the table.
Only good thing was the taste of the food, not the portion size or price. The pani puri was the best tasting dish we had.
Shame the service let down a good meal on mothers day.

I made a reservation for Mother's Day, and as expected, the restaurant was chaotic. However, the service was a huge disappointment. We waited over half an hour just to get our drinks. While the food eventually arrived, some dishes were served later than others, which meant some people had to wait for their mains while watching others eat. From the moment we walked in, the service was rushed, and it felt like we were hurried to even place our order. Overall, the entire experience was awful from start to finish.

Chronic Diarrhea the next day
Last night 8 of us (from 3 different households) went for a family meal at Chit Chaat in Barnet. Food tasted okay on the night but unfortunately the next day 4 of us have chronic diarrhea. It was the non veg diners that were affected, It looks like the vegetarians are okay, for now. The bill was £330 (inc a few beers, but no wine), and the portions were very small in relation to the price. The owner seemed nice but unfortunately food hygiene appears to be poor. This was our first visit and most certainly will be the last.

What a wonderful place! Completely different from the typical Indian restaurant (but still a few familiar things for the less adventurous) . I had a simple Tarka Dall with butter naan - it was anything but simple, a riot of flavour, utterly delicious - the best Dall I have ever had by a margin and I have eaten it all over the world!

Good but rushed
The food is great, really wonderful. However…. We arrived at 7.30 and ordered food / drinks. We were enjoying casually chatting and catching up, whilst eating and as soon as it turned 930 we were being rushed out the door. Several (non subtle) hints including ‘would you like anything else or shall I bring the bill’ followed by at 21.50 being told ‘we are closing now’. We checked the opening hours before we booked and it clearly stated 22.30. There was also another table in there. So to conclude, amazing food but only visit if you are not wanting to chill and take your time!

Chaats are great
This spot is great for chaats (Pani Puri, Bhel etc) great for casual dining. It was quiet but is a real hidden gem. Go if you like real Indian Punjabi street food.

Food was really good however the prices were too high. If you’re going to charge those sorts of prices, the service has to be exceptional and unfortunately it was not great. I would give it another go in the future and hope that either the prices have come down or the service has massively improved as I would like to eat the food again! Just lacks value for money for the experience overall.
