After after two visits my pain is almost gone in my shoulder highly recommend

Where do I even begin. Before I started coming here I was in a whole mess of pain. After 4 pregnancies one of which was a twin pregnancy, I had gotten used to pain everyday of my life. It finally got so bad that I needed to make a change and decided to give breakaway a chance after countless recommendations from coworkers and I am forever grateful I did. Dr.Lad and his team made me feel comfortable from day one, and have gone above and beyond in helping me into a life of being pain free. They give you tools to use at home to help ease the pain between visits. I found out in April I was pregnant again and with those growing pains comes new challenges. I am feeling the pain of a changing body and everytime I come in and explain what is bothering me Dr.Lad fixes me up like new, even when it’s painful . I could go on and on about how grateful I am to everyone at breakaway but I shall end it here. Thank you for giving me my life back and knowing what a life without pain is like! I will forever recommend this place! Keep up the amazing work!

I wanted to inform everyone about a personal experience with Breakaway Chiropractic's unfair billing practices and misleading information. This complaint aims to alert other consumers to potential issues they may encounter when dealing with Breakaway Chiropractic. On multiple occasions in January 2024 (23, 29, 31), individuals visited Breakaway Chiropractic seeking treatment. Despite providing insurance information for coverage verification, they were informed of owed amounts that significantly exceeded their Explanation of Benefits (EOB). In one instance, a patient was charged $120.00 for a visit, while their EOB indicated only a $30.00 obligation. When questioned, the clinic admitted to overcharging but cited certain insurance policies that do not cover x-rays on the same visits as getting adjusted as justification. Furthermore, despite assurances of a refund once payments were received from the insurance company, the refund was issued as credit rather than cash, contrary to initial promises. Subsequent visits also resulted in overcharging, indicating a pattern of unfair billing practices. These actions not only demonstrate a lack of transparency and due diligence on the part of Breakaway Chiropractic but also potentially mislead consumers regarding their insurance coverage, resulting in financial burdens. Breakaway did refund the involved parties after an attorney sent a demand letter. It's crucial to highlight that such practices are in violation of consumer protection laws, including Chapter 17 of the Texas Business & Commerce Code, which prohibits deceptive trade practices. Additionally, it has come to my attention that Breakaway Chiropractic is under investigation by the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners for these allegations. This further underscores the seriousness of the situation. Consumers should be aware of these issues to make informed decisions when seeking chiropractic care.

The team at Breakaway are extremely friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. They take the time to listen to your issues and then not only resolve, but focus on prevention after.

I was in terrible pain to the point I couldn’t eat, breath or drink without feeling a spasm on my back and it was like torture. I had one alignment and scraping and in 2 days the pain was from a 10 to a 2. Besides, the staff is super friendly

I only have positive things to say about Breakaway. I have been coming here for years. Dr. Lad and his staff do excellent work. I told Dr. Lad about my elbow discomfort, and he worked his magic, providing me with a great deal of relief. If you are looking for an excellent chiropractor, look no further.

OVERCHARGING: Edit: Based on their response to me clearly they did not read the part that they are in the wrong and my insurance DOES COVER consultation+Xray+Adjustment on initial visit. Also the pain was DURING the adjustment, not after lol thanks for dismissing what I said though so down to one star. Original: I was charged $70 for my new patient appointment even though my insurance covers their services at 100% with $30 copay. My husband, who is the primary on our insurance was charged $120. Both of these charges are including our $30 copay(my charge was lower due to “referral”). Breakaway told us that our insurance doesn’t cover consultation+Xray+Adjustment on the initial visit. After I sent them proof that they were WRONG and contacted Aetna, Breakaway Chiropractic still REFUSED to provide us a refund. As of now, they are only offering us an in house credit. We are no longer interested in going to an unethical chiropractic center so we’d rather a refund and they should understand that. I gave 2 stars because the staff themselves were very kind and friendly but whoever is processing the charges is clearly very unethical. They will likely be dropped by Aetna after their investigation. P.S. My whole adjustment was painful and ive tried several chiropractors. The only one I like and have been going to for years unfortunately doesn’t accept the insurance we changed to(Align Chiropractic in Frisco).

I just started coming to this chiropractor office, it’s the second one I’ve been too ever and I must say, the staff is amazing. I feel confident in their hands, and the overall experience has been positive. I Highly recommend.

I’v seen a chiropractor off and on for a few years and this was my first experience at Breakaway, and it was absolutely amazing! Dr. Lad addressed all my problem areas, and much more! The amount of care and attention him and his staff provides is top notch. I’m looking forward to more adjustments and feeling great.

The atmosphere and staff are amazing! The difference is not just the care or getting adjusted, but it’s when a wellness staff actually give off that wellness vibe as well! It definitely has a positive impact on the care I receive. Literally everyone there is amazing! Definitely recommend!

I first heard about Breakaway chiropractic when the VA had them listed as a local care provider. That was 3 years ago and I am still happily in their care. The staff is always friendly and professional, they help you out with any issues you may have, and they make you feel like you are part of a big family. I highly recommend them if you are I need of the care they can give.
