For my first service, I was impressed by the work ethics of these young men. Also, they were respectable, punctual, and polite. They did a great job with the removal of my junk. I live in a 2lvl condo on the 3rd floor, so there's an additional flight of stairs. I want to support black owned businesses, and I recommended them because of my first service.
Now, I had a 2nd service. So, they were late. I completely understand that delays occur.
Then, there was a disconnect with communication e.g. to the price for my 2nd service, the time of appt, and cancelation of the appt.
When I got the 2nd appt, David gave a quote. So, I asked about the 20% discount that I got because of my 1st service. My question wasn't answered. I texted them 24hrs or so about the cost and charges again. There was no response.
On the day of the appt, I spoke with David. He seemed rude as I explained my changes to what I needed done from my original communication for the 2nd service, and cost.
For the quote, he stated that it included the 20%. How would I know that because I wasn't given an invoice nor did he realized that I was the resident of the 2lvl condo.
Now, he realized it before the day of my appt, but never texted or call to give that explanation until I called him on the day of my appt.
Let's get to another reason why I called David. I received an email to reschedule my appt. Ok, I understand the delay. Now, is my appt cancelled.
So, I called David. He was rude. He said, The system automatically generates the emails if the service is not rendered at the scheduled time. If that is the case and he knew Michael was running late. Why didn't he call me verse I called?
I am proud of these black men being entrepreneurs, but customer service and communication are essential to a successful business.
Based off of my latest interaction, I'm changing my view from 5 to 1 stars. Communication is imperative.
