So far so good, I was looking for an attorney to assist, she's local, her staff has been helpful. Highly recommend. Brittany has been very responsive and fast to answer any and all questions I've had this far
I just had my hearing, and I was very impressed with Nancy, she was quick with responses and to the point. Thank you Nancy for all your hard work. Would definitely recommend her firm to anyone.

Thank you Ken! We're happy to help!
I recently reached out to this firm for a legal consultation regarding a complex long-term disability matter, and Madelyn was absolutely amazing. From the very first interaction, she was incredibly professional, attentive, and understanding of my situation. Madelyn took the time to review everything thoroughly and gave me the exact clarity and guidance I needed to move forward confidently. I am so grateful for her time and expertise, and I highly recommend this firm to anyone looking for honest, high-quality legal advice!

Terribly Prejudiced Against Mental Patients
I called seeking help with an SSDI claim and was met by a receptionist who declined my case and would not explain why. Regardless of my diagnosis, I am still a human being.
I live with paranoid schizophrenia, vestibular migraines, severe anxiety, progressive nerve damage affecting both arms and hands, carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar neuropathy, chronic scapular problems that compress nerves, constant back pain awaiting specialist evaluation, and severe gastrointestinal pain. Even simple tasks like texting, carrying groceries, or lifting a fork can be painful because my muscles have deteriorated so much.
I've spent the past year surviving on my savings while trying to manage chronic illness every day. Reaching out for disability help was one of the hardest things I've ever done because I genuinely need it. Instead of receiving guidance, I was simply turned away without understanding why. All I can surmise from reading reviews is she doesn't like mental health work.
I was told in a very sideways manner after calling numerous times on this topic after being denied that the firm primarily handles cases involving people over 50, yet I could not find that information anywhere on the firm's website and also immediately disproved it by reading the reviews. If age or case selection criteria were the reason, I believe that should be communicated clearly so people don't spend precious time and emotional energy pursuing help they were never eligible to receive.
Living with chronic illness is already isolating. Lying is never an acceptable practice. This is earth not hell. Being dismissed without an explanation only adds to that burden. If your office cannot take my case, please explain why. Tell me what evidence is missing, what legal issue exists, or where I should turn instead. That information could make the difference between someone giving up on life entirely and someone finding the help they need to survive.
I am not asking for sympathy. I am asking to be treated with some type of dignity and given an honest explanation. No one seeking disability benefits because they can no longer function should be left feeling like their suffering or life doesn't matter. I'm sure if the doctor loss control of her arms tomorrow and couldn't embrace her loved ones she'd be upset too.
Again, this is the worst attorneys office I have ever spoken with. I've never left a conversation feeling stupider or more unheard than I have today.

Im very disappointed in this place that they couldn’t help me. I have severe rheumatoid arthritis in both of my knees and is very debilitating and to get denied by them and they couldn’t tell me why is FRUSTRATING. I was really hoping they could help I felt they brushed me off due to my age very upsetting only thing I can say I appreciate it is they respond quickly.

Thank you for your review. We strive to assist as many individuals as possible with their disability claims. However, Social Security regulations have strict legal criteria—including age-based guidelines and medical requirements—that dictate whether a claim can proceed. Because of these federal rules, we unfortunately cannot take on every case. We regret any frustration this caused and hope you find the right support for your claim. We urge you to seek out another opinion because not every law firm has the same criteria.
I am incredibly grateful for everything Krysti Monaco did for me. After my long-term disability benefits were terminated (The Hartford), I felt overwhelmed by the appeals process. Krysti was knowledgeable, professional, and always took the time to answer my questions and explain what was happening.
Her experience and dedication made all the difference, and she was able to get my long-term disability benefits reinstated. Throughout the process, I felt like she truly cared about my case and was committed to getting the best possible outcome.
I highly recommend Krysti to anyone who needs help with a long-term disability claim. I can't thank her enough for her hard work, support, and advocacy. (MO)
Called on june 19 and the 22 I got a call back on a 23 and they would let the other attorney know and call me back . Called again on the 24 to talk to somebody, they said, they returned my call. And I never got A call back. Today is July 8.
Brittany is the best paralegal that I could have asked for. She is responsive and always answers all of my questions! I feel confident in having this firm represent me because of someone like Brittany!
Nancy Cavey was exceptional! Also my paralegal Brittany Gass was magnificent as well. The communication was top-tier. I was awarded my benefits..this is life changing for me and my family!! Thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart!!
I called with a genuine problem looking for help with the labyrinth of paperwork and appointments for my case . It seems they screen prospective clients and only take cases they dont have to work for.
Horrible experience referred to a yellow pages attorney. I'd pass on this one if I were you. I found that most dont take a case unless you bring all the leg work to them first.
This office set up an appt with my son for june 1 2026 at 3pm to speak with the attorney regarding his disability case. The never called to cancel his phone interview. My son called them at 330pm. He was told that she doesnt feel he is a good fit. No further information was given to him. When people have only 60 days to appeal their case was very unprofessional not to get back to him to cancel appt so he could look for another attorney. Wonder how she would feel being disabled and broke and the lawyer could care less about wasting part of his 60 days. They gave him a phone number to call someone else. The number was a you won a price scam number. Horrible law office. Karma.
Attorney Cavey and her staff were top-notch. I fought disability on my own for well over a year and finally hired this group as my attorney. It was a fairly easy process, not that getting disability was easy, but working with the attorney was easy. They work together like a well oiled machine and I appreciate so much that my case finally received full approval. Thank you, Attorney Cavey and staff for all that you did for me and my family!
When I hired this law firm for my SSD I explained they needed to file for extension after I was turned down trying to do it myself .. many months later, their office called me and told me I needed a redo all the paperwork. All over again because they did not file the extension. I lost many months of back pay due to this.I wouldn't recommend using this company. They drop the ball
Coming back to leave a second review as Attorney Cavey also worked with me on my SSDI case (in addition to my private insurance case). She was professional and knowledgeable and I ended up winning on appeal. Highly recommend this law firm for complex chronic illness sufferers. They understand what many do not.
I am writing to share my experience with the Law Office of Nancy Cavey regarding my initial contact with the firm. From the very first interaction, I spoke with an intake specialist named Grace who came across as NASTY, dismissive, unprofessional, and unwelcoming. My questions were not handled with the level of respect or care expected when reaching out to a legal office for assistance. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated impression after encouraging a friend to call for a separate inquiry, they reported a very similar experience with the same individual. When I attempted to address my concerns about the interaction, I was met with a response that felt indifferent and discouraging rather than supportive or solution-oriented. This left me with serious concerns about the firm’s client intake process and overall approach to potential clients. It also raised questions for me regarding internal management, as the interaction gave the impression that this level of conduct is accepted or overlooked within the firm. First impressions are extremely important, especially in a legal setting where clients are often already under stress, and I would expect stronger oversight and higher standards in how potential clients are treated from the very beginning. Based on my experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider their options and ensure they choose a firm where they feel respected, heard, and valued from the very first point of contact.

Emily, we are very sorry to hear that this was your experience with our firm, that is certainly not how we want individuals to feel when they call needing assistance, but I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. This is attorney Krysti Monaco, and I would love the opportunity to speak with you to hear your concerns so I can address them properly. If you could please email me your contact information, I'd love to contact you this week. Krysti@caveylaw.com
The best news is that my case was won! I having nothing to compare this office to - no other experience with a law firm, thankfully. My experience here was ok. I feel that communication was less than I would have wanted, but the result was good. My paralegal was changed 3 times. And I only spoke to the actual attorney once or twice at the beginning. Is that normal? Probably... I received links to videos to watch along the way, to learn how such cases progress. I don't know what was going on in the background, but I guess I didn't need to know. Happy for how everything turned out, and thankful for whatever they did to get my appeal approved.
I had an outstanding experience working with The Law Office of Nancy L. Cavey for my Social Security Disability case. From the very beginning, their team was knowledgeable, responsive, and truly compassionate about my situation.
The disability process can be overwhelming, but they guided me every step of the way, making sure I understood everything and felt confident throughout the process. Their attention to detail, organization, and commitment to my case made a huge difference.
What stood out most was their communication and dedication. They stayed on top of deadlines, handled all the paperwork, and were always available to answer my questions, which gave me real peace of mind during a stressful time.
Thanks to their experience and hard work, my case was successful, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend The Law Office of Nancy L. Cavey to anyone in need of a professional, caring, and highly effective Social Security Disability attorney.
Paralegal is top notch. She took care of everything. I only spoke to Mrs Carey once or twice but didn’t need to. Everything went smooth. I would recommend this firm all day!!!
Great firm.. answered all my questions, stayed on top of all details, guided me along on where and how to fill everything out, made all appointments for me and kept me abreast of when they were. I only spoke to Mrs. Cavey once the entire process but didn’t need to.Nyesha Harden her paralegal stepped up and took care of everything. Thank you Nyesha for putting up with all my calls and questions. I would highly recommend this law firm. Great people..
