I think I've found my new mechanic home! They are kind, professional and above all knowledgeable and trustworthy. They gave me a reasonable quote for my upcoming brake job, and diagnosed other upcoming non-urgent issues! I'll definitely be back and make a note they close early on Fridays!

Hi, the service I received was neutral, neither particularly friendly nor unfriendly, but I appreciate the honesty displayed by the staff. During my conversation with the gentleman attending to me, a lady emerged from the rear area of the front desk and joined our interaction uninvited. Her approach was unexpected and unprompted, showing a lack of professional courtesy, turning the moment into an uncomfortable, invasive intruder experience.
I had booked an appointment the previous day through my CarMax Care contract. However, they were unable to service my car for the next three days due to a full booking, which is understandable. Nevertheless, I believe it's essential for them, as business owners, to address the issue of their system not being synchronized with CarMax Care plans, as it affects customer satisfaction.
I urge CAMS Automotive to raise their concerns with CarMax, asking them to resolve this issue so they can improve the experience for future customers.
Recommendation for MaxCare clients: call before heading to this business to confirm if your booked appointment matches their system, to avoid driving and incurring fuel expenses, wasting work time, and waking up early if it's a morning appointment.

You booked a Tuesday morning 8:30 appointment at 5:30 on Monday after we closed. As you could see when you came in Tuesday morning we had people lined up and waiting when you showed up. We call every one who books on line to talk about the repairs. With you booking after we closed for the next morning at 8:30 it was not posable to call you before you showed up. I hope this clears this up for you.

So glad I found CAMS Automotive. All signs were leading towards a dealership (ford) repair on my vehicle including long wait time, overinflated markups on OEM parts, crazy labor costs and poor customer service. CAMS was able to diagnose, make recommendations and complete the repair on time as promised saving me so much I had them throw in a full break job! Also love that their warranty is equivalent to better than what you would get at dealership. Highly recommend and plan on using again.

I worked mainly with Justin, who was polite and gave good customer service on the surface. But honestly, it felt like a lot of talk that didn’t match the follow-through. They fixed one issue, but in the process, created new ones.
Right after the repair, my son’s check engine light came on, and he noticed a strange noise from the engine. Turns out, a hose hadn’t been reconnected properly. When I brought it back for them to check, I was told my whole engine was bad. That didn’t sit right with me, so I got a second opinion. Another mechanic confirmed that Cam’s simply missed reconnecting a key hose. The only resolution offered? A free oil change.
I left feeling disappointed, not just in the oversight, but in the lack of pride and attention to detail after explaining to him the issues with a previous mechanic in Gretna. Sadly, this seems to be a recurring issue at a lot of shops in the 504 area, not caring enough.
Cams and the team are quick to respond to your needs, reasonably priced, and communicate well throughout the entire process. Very honest and trustworthy

I bought my wife car in for random Check because the check engine light came on. They constantly told me they didn’t know what it was. They held my car for a month and a half. I bought it there because they previously had done good work but this time on my wife’s 2015 Nissan quest they kept on call for a month and a half, they never answered the phone for us and when they do, it’s always we’re still checking on it, give us another day or call us back tomorrow. It inconvenience my family So much that I almost had to ride the bus to work I will NEVER RETURN 0/10
