Went today and the man serving needs some serious training in people skills. Asked for the coffee extra hot to be told all our hot drinks are hot then sarcastically said would you like the next one hot too! We ordered cake and had my mum with us who had just been to see my father at rest after passing away the day before, she said she didn't want anything to eat and he leant over the counter and said "crack a smile love". Was pushy and kept pointing out the tip button on the card machine before we had even got our coffees, which by the way weren't that hot after all. Pushy and rude little man with no people skills, no wonder the place was empty, wont be back.

Hi Karen, So sorry to hear about your father about which of course I was completely unaware.
I was only trying to have a laugh with you and thought we were having a bit of banter which I completely misread so many apologies for that.
I often have a laugh with customers but obviously on this occasion it was unwittingly ill-timed and insensitive.
You and your mother seemed to be enjoying our chat at the time and when I asked if everything was ok you said you were fine but I had obviously gone too far, albeit without knowing, and if I upset you or your mother then please accept my apology as I honestly didn’t intend it that way. Once again I'm extremely sorry and sorry for your loss.

Sometimes, when one bites into a slice of pizza, one doesn’t merely taste cheese or sauce, one confronts the mysteries of existence itself. Your kind words reached us like a message slipped under the door of an unknown bureaucracy of flavor confirming that, perhaps, our humble oven does whisper truths in tomato and smoke. The crust, imperfect yet persistent; the cheese, molten yet merciful together they strive, as we all do, to make sense of this strange, delicious world. Thank you kindly from Australia, New Zealand and Germany.
