Very pleasant experience all the way through. They gave great advice on what stain to use on the deck, they were fast, clean and friendly, and the deck has never looked better. And they were reasonably priced. I’m recommending them to all my friends and I will use them in the future to replace a fence. Great job!
Fionn and his team were amazing to work with. We collaborated on the project for a long time, and unlike many vendors I’ve encountered, he never walked away. He was passionate and truly cared about bringing the vision to life, despite the complexities of building a deck over a septic system, installing a semi-above-ground pool, and putting up a new fence. After their beautiful work was completed, we provided some feedback, and he returned without hesitation to address anything that needed adjustment.

We had a great experience working with Fionn and his team. I had my own design plan of what we wanted to do with our backyard and after discussing our ideas with Build It ATX, I knew we were in good hands. We were planning a complete transformation. They worked with us and our budget and let us know clear expectations of the project. We had a few delays within the project from rain, but that is to be expected. We’ve now lived with the renovation for over a month and are still so thrilled with the outcome, and craftsmanship and enjoy our new deck, patio, and rock landscaping additions every day. I highly recommend using Build it ATX! JJ was great to work with on the design and answered all of my back and forth questions. I have a small backyard, and it's now so much better with the new privacy lattice, stained fence, and composite deck. The owner, Fionn, came out with the crew and they all worked incredibly hard in the hot summer heat to get everything completed within days. They helped me keep costs in mind when making decisions, and I'm incredibly happy with how everything turned out!
This company was great to work with installing my covered pergola and deck. They showed up to my place super quick after my initial inquiry and we were building by the next week. The design process was smooth as was the construction phase. The crew are all very nice, communicative, and take pride in their work. I'd definitely look to using them again for future projects and recommend them highly.
Build it ATX undertook the IMPECCABLE fixing of a major construction project gone awry in our home! When other contractors lacked the confidence to undertake such an ordeal, BUILD it ATX quickly & confidently stepped forward to fix all previous blunders with respectable and courteous contractors, on-time and professional communication, and top-notch skill— working quickly AND meticulously with great diligence to complete our project on time and in an orderly and clean manner!! We are very pleased with our 4ft bull panel fence. Quality and craftsmanship was not skipped with this company. Our quote was also very fair. They built our composite deck as well and it turned out great! The owner was also very communicative and had someone come back out in a timely fashion to finish up.

For years I wished our patio was covered but was cautious about pulling the trigger. Recently a neighbor told me about Build it ATX & I'm so glad we decided to go with them. Fionn and Build it ATX from start to finish. At first I was apprehensive getting a bid from them but for the initial phone call my wife had to the project manager that came out we felt like they were confident, answered all of our questions (which we had a lot) and weren’t salesy or tried to pressure us. We went back and forth about budget and design and they were super responsive every step of the way. This project was definitely an investment but one we were willing to make to get our deck done right. I tend toward DIY and was so glad I didn’t even attempt this deck project. The crew that came out to do the job was so hard working, professional and caring to our property. They got the job done in a timely manner and cleaned up like never happened. Now we have a beautiful and huge deck that we are going to enjoy for years to come.

Conoce mucho el mercado y materiales de construcción y se preocupa por explicar en detalle en que consiste el trabajo, sus etapas y expectativas. Sus bids son transparentes, detalladas y con precios justos en un mercado que en mi opinion, esta injustamente demasiado caro. Excelente comunicación entre sus trabajadores y el cliente. Nuestro primer proyecto fue un retaining wall y reemplazo de cerca que quedo perfecto! Ahora seguiremos trabajando con Build it ATX para construir un covered patio, deck de Cumaru, outdoor kitchen y mucho mas. No podemos estar mas contentos! Recomiendo 100%.

I live in Houston and was sent to Austin by my ministry leader to assist his brothers with a roof, I didnt have any contacts in Austin that I knew in Home Improvement until I contacted Build It ATX and the owner, (Fionn Leonard) called me right back. I was looking for some shingles and I was trying to get a better price for them. We talked about it and Fionn ended up calling Lowe's in Austin, he got me his discount for the material and got it delivered quickly like 24hrs. from the time we ordered them. ANYWAY WE WILL BE IN AUSTIN AGAIN AND WE WILL BE IN TOUCH.

Build it ATX was a breath of fresh air after previous negative contractor experiences. Their communication was impeccable, and they completed our project on-time and exceeded our expectations. The estimate was provided quickly and was straightforward. The crew used high-quality materials and did excellent finish work. Fion, the owner, was hands-on, regularly on-site, and ensured everything was completed to my satisfaction.
