Great little place for a drink or two we enjoyed a desert and the music the do offer sandwiches nice staff and location.

Great New Bakery
We came to grab some pastries and sandwiches to heat up when we got home from our day trip. They were happy to give us our sandwiches cold to heat up at home later and they were delicious. We also got macarons, a lola bun, and a lemon tart that were also delicious. I can’t wait to come back and try more.

Quaint little French bistro & bar in the heart of downtown Galena. Pleasant, casual, pristine ambiance in orange and
white decor, unobtrucive smooth rock and black accents. Drop in for a morning capiciono or latte w/ a croissant, tart or petit dejeuner. Marvel over the vast variety of macaroons: whisky, lavender, red velvet, lemon, raspberry, coffee, cinamon, cherry, pistachio...Or maybe try their French hot dog...yes, please!

Great food including not only pastries, but also lunch & dinner along with wine & mixed drinks. The outside tables made the experience a great alfresco event. There are also indoor tables.

Delicious sandwiches

The Best Bread outside of Paris
The front window of Bread and Vine will tempt you and the food will bring you back. The bread is delicious, but the food is so fresh and of such high quality. The service is very good and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. For a little bit of France, check out Bread and Vine. You won't be sorry. Don't forget to by bread to take home!

Incredible pastries!
We had an eclair, a hazelnut pastry, and a raspberry cream cheese Danish, and all three were delicious--the hazelnut was EXCEPTIONAL. So incredible!

Loved Bread & Vine. The menu is fabulous. We ate there twice, outside, under the umbrella's.
The two deep fried burgers and cheese covered hotdog wrapped in bread, we ordered were fantastic!

I have not had a croque monsieur (baked ham & Swiss) or baked hot dog a baguette this good since a trip decades ago to Versailles. Great melted cheese; fresh crunchy & chewy bread; not to mention amazing cocktails and even bubbly and vinho verde. Nice hipster / good vibe music as well with attentive wait staff. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing, so worth the wait but the waiters seem to not know the menus very well. I asked what is the cream filled glass looking dessert the waiter was dumbfounded. I walk inside and here it is just as I described it’s teramisu.

Just as Galena’s always robust rhythm of relaxation & romance has been re-energized & re-invigorated by a fresh re-framing of casual alfresco downtown drinking & dining that feels more Marais than Midwestern…
VOILA! A peiti spit that’s a SLICE OF Paris chic bloomed this Spring in Galena, the beau bouquet of French Master Foodie , Eric Bettemaine.
Galena has been prized for its lush farmland and hills like Tuscany or County Kerry….one of the best-preserved .19th CENTURY MAIN STREETS…a town with a significant link to the shaping of The American Story. Delectable!
A must-eat place in Galena. Everything we tried was excellent! Nicely presented foods and beverages, some on locally-crafted boards and bowls! The French cafe tables are authentic, & the service is great! Sarah, Eric, Jen & the crew were knowledgeable & patient while I made the hard decision to choose just one dessert! Highly recommend!
