Well I wish I had looked at reviews before wasting my gas! Was told I could be serviced as long as I got there before 1. Mind you, I called at 12:48 and told her I'd arrive in 5 mins- which I did. A (rude and unapologetic) teacher came over and told me I couldn't be serviced because everyone was ABOUT TO go to lunch. I just needed a wash but I wasn't even asked that much. Why tell me I could come and turn me away??
Then, coming on here and having a rebuttal for every complaint is disgusting.

Brittany. Please understand this is a school. Not a salon. If there is not a student available to perform a service than we can not have the service performed. We do not take appointments and have guidelines we need to follow including students taking a lunch. Also many student do leave for the day at 1pm. The best time to come in is earlier in the day and I apologize for any inconvenience
Went through the nail program here and I wish I didn’t waste my money. Health code violations up the wazoo. Obviously you can see Dianas replys. Go to Paul Mitchell or anywhere else to actually learn something. Teachers barely show up and you only learn to do acrylic. No such thing as theory. If you like to gossip, not learn anything and be bullied come to this school! The kit doesnt come with everything you need and forces you to buy required health items enforced by OSHA as they have prior violations. Scam of a school. Should be shut down. If your debating going here an another school you should absolutely do that. (Again as you can see the childish responses)

I am very sorry for the experience you claim your “friend” had. You don’t specify very much in this message. I would like to be able to talk with you to have a better understanding. You are more than welcome to call the school and explain. Was your “friend” a former student ? Did they come into the school for a service. Which campus were they in? Or are you a disgruntled x student who was terminated for poor behavior and now wants to blame anyone else ?
Attending Branford Academy was one of the best experiences I have had. The education is superior, and Diana (owner and director), is always providing the students with opportunities to excel in their careers. I was given the opportunity to study Esthetics abroad in Italy- and it changed the whole trajectory of my career path as I discovered more services I was interested in. Attached are photos from studying at the Academy in Italy this past year.

The administration needs to learn to not talk to people like they are the scum on the bottom of their shoe. Nothing is ever the managements fault. Nothing. It’s always a teacher or a student the blame falls on. It’s your school SO EVERYTHING not going correctly is your fault. Nobody should have to tell you about what’s going on in YOUR school. It’s ridiculous and annoying. Find another school. This one is not it

I appreciate your feed back. We don't blame students for anything & we do not talk down to people. What we do expect is mutual respect. And we expect teachers to be prepared for class. That is part of teaching. Having a lesson plan and following that lesson plan through. So when a teacher does not make a lesson plan and is not prepared for class then the teacher is held accountable. Especially when the teacher is told continually to be prepared. This is expected from ALL teachers. And when said teacher is never prepared it does become frustrating. It shows how much the teacher lacks the value of the students. When a teacher continually has an excuse as to why they are not prepared, that gets old really fast. Not being prepared means they don't care. Your X teachers actions are inexcusable. Continually late. Never prepared. Lied about her ability or lack of ability. Claiming a machine is broken because she doesn't know how to use it. Not demonstrating a chemical peel because she lacks the ability and knowledge to perform that service. I am deeply sorry that she was ever employed with us. She is an embarrassment to the esthetic's industry. She lied on her application stating that she was proficient with the machines and various services. She obviously lacks the basic knowledge of esthetics.
Everything is my fault? The accountability actually lands on the instructor. I will take responsibility for giving her an opportunity to be a part of our school family & culture but I am not responsible for another persons actions.
