Physical therapy as it should be done! Moist heat, E-stim, and massage before stretching and strengthening. Royce Bowman was trained by long time Houston favorite, John West, and knows how to ensure progress and improvement. The patient still has to do assigned exercises at home to maintain the gains. That’s on you, but OakBend works hard and attentively to get you there!

Oak Bend / Bowman Physical Therapy is the best PT experience I’ve ever had! Brad Rickert, DPT is a fantastic physical therapist & my neck feels better than in has in years! I have worked with every PT technician and PTA at the River Oaks location. Everyone is knowledgable, helpful, professional, friendly & they work great as a team. I went to Oakbend physical therapy due to a stiff neck and shoulders . I had very little range of motion. Thanks to Royce and his staff I am now free of pain and able to turn my head. These guys really take the time to help their patients heal. I highly recommend them as I am back on the golf course.

Special people and a special place to be treated.
One of the head DPT’s there “Brad” was my guy, he would stay after working hours and adjust to my schedule just to ensure I was able to be treated twice a week for my ACL recovery.
Neil and Sahir were the two techs I worked with. They were also top teir and made coming to therapy easy.
If you are in the river oaks area working or living and need a PT spot this is a great one.

I would give Bowman Physical Therapy 10 stars if I could but there is only 5! I have had experiences with probably four or five physical therapist in the last 20 years. The first one I had was a very pleasant experience and was probably at least 20 years ago and then I experienced John West therapy about 12 years ago and he was extremely good. Then in recent Months, I went to Methodist and was very disappointed at what they did not do. It was simply some exercises that I could very easily do at home and that was about it. I requested heat and massage on my hand where I had had recent surgical procedures, but they said they did not do massage. I have a good friend that told me she had been to John West therapy years ago and how wonderful they were and now Mr. West just died and it is just not what it used to be. But she gave me the name of a physical therapist that she was very, very impressed with which was Royce Bowman at Bowman Physical Therapy. I went to Bowman and was very impressed and even thought to myself It reminded me so much of John West therapy. I found out later that the owner of Bowman and his employees had worked under John West years ago and many as long as 20 years. it took a few sessions before I could tell a significant difference, but after several sessions, I was feeling so much better and the pain level was much less. I am also more easily able to do things with my hand and shoulder that I could not do before or it was very painful. I would highly highly recommend Bowman Physical Therapy. Royce and Brent went the extra mile to make sure I got better. The entire staff is friendly and upbeat and they make my visits fun and very enjoyable.

I just completed my therapy regimen with Royce Bowman at Bowman Physical Therapy. I was very impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of not only Royce but his whole team. I made significant progress to the point that I feel that surgery is no longer necessary. I witnessed others receiving the same level of care as I did. I highly recommend Bowman.

I have had more than 10 major surgeries in my 72 years. After each surgery I was sent to therapy. I can without reservation say that Bowman (OakBend) therapy was the best I have ever had.,
I know how important therapy is to a full recovery ( or at least as full as physically possible)and Brent had the perfect mix of challenging and thinking tasks. It was a true learning experience; not just physical.
The entire staff was friendly and engaging.
I would give more stars if I could.
