I told the guy very clearly that this was a tricky mouse that had evaded other traps and poison. He assured me that his poison was better, put out a couple small boxes, and called it a day. Predictably, this did not help in the slightest.
Update to correct the inaccuracies in the company's reply:
-The invoice was paid on Sep 7. The claim that it is outstanding is false.
-The low units were never raised as an obstacle to the poison treatment. They were mentioned only as the reason additional proofing work couldn't be carried out.
-I was never told the treatment was unlikely to work; I was told the opposite, repeatedly. I chose to proceed with the treatment on the strength of those assurances.
My rating is one star because I was confidently sold a treatment that was carried out carelessly and achieved nothing. He didn't even wear gloves or attempt to place the poison along the mouse's routes.

The inspection was provided free of charge, and there was no commitment or obligation for you to proceed with any treatment or further work. You explained your situation to us, and I was happy to arrange a free inspection for you.
While our technician was at the property, you decided yourself to proceed with the treatment.
This was your decision, and we explained at the time that the units were very low and that achieving effective treatment in those areas would be difficult. Unfortunately, this was confirmed to be the case.
You also mentioned that other pest control companies had previously attempted to resolve the problem without success.
We also explained that the proofing work would be difficult to carry out due to the nature and access of the areas involved.
I completely understand that you may be disappointed with the outcome, but I believe it is important that any review reflects the full circumstances and the information that was provided to you at the time.
I would also like to clarify that the invoice £89+VAT for the work has not yet been paid.
We would therefore appreciate it if any review of our service could be fair and based on the actual circumstances rather than giving the impression that payment had been made for a completed service.
We always try to be honest and transparent with our customers, and we would appreciate the same consideration in return.
