A piece of Dublin history ruined
A beautiful building, with such fabulous history, I was excited to go here. It is in a fantastic location, unfortunately, the staff let this place down. They were rude, unprofessional and genuinely hostile. Such a pity for a place that hold a lot of memories for Dublin people, but because of staff, I won’t ever be back. My advise, go in and have a look, but spend your money elsewhere.

Marvellous service, beautiful pain au chocolat and decent coffee. Tables are not cramped, which I appreciate dearly and the place is overall stunning.

We were very happy with our time in Bewleys of Grafton Street. We had a 3 year old and a 1 year old with us, which is always challenging! But the service was excellent and the staff very helpful and our overall experience was great. I particularly loved my almond swirl and excellent latte.
Stopped in for a pastry and a coffee and was completely overwhelmed by how wonderful my experience was. Absolutely delicious food served quickly in a beautiful environment. My advice would be to make a reservation if trying to visit during peak times or if your desire is to walk right in and be sat.
Personally, I had the Mary cake and an iced Americano and loved both.

Lo que más me gustó fue la atmósfera del lugar.
El mesero que nos atendió, pero fue muy amable y abierto a darnos buenas recomendaciones.

Highly overrated place I must say. I was disappointed.
Myself and friend of mine went in for tea. We were put in a queue quite rigorously by a staff member. Aware of waiting time of APPX 15 min we waited for table to become available. Once that happened staff member with same army approach giving orders shouted to follow her to table. Sat in a side room which was freezing and AC was blowing out of a huge hanging from the ceiling pipe making awful sound that was interrupting a conversation we had. So we ordered...decided to get some soup since it was so cold there...ordered tomato soup which sounded safe ..there it was came soo SALTY I requested sour cream to kill the strength of salt as it burnt my esophagus and throat. Lovely and chatty waiter came to assist at that stage. Then we ordered coffee as still cold. Decided to get some cake. Coffee was ok, nothing extravagant but quite dear tbh. Cake was delicious it was the berry applepie - highly recommending. Two guests sat at a table next to us clearly unaware there was a waiting queue...happens right? Staff member with army approach disgustingly sent those two people away back to queue ( one was elderly ).I was shocked. Will not come back to Bewleys as it's reputation is totally gone for me now.
The most iconic café in Dublin, at the famous Grafton Street charges €10.40 for a café latte and a cappuccino made by a very low skilled barista.
Disappointing.
You will get better and cheaper coffees in many other small independent shops.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear your coffee didn’t meet expectations, that’s certainly not the experience we aim to deliver at Bewley’s Grafton Street. We take great pride in our coffee craft and will review your comments with our barista team. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know and hope you might visit again to give us another chance to make a better impression.
We stopped into Bewley’s on Grafton Street and absolutely loved the experience. The ambience is charming and timeless, a perfect blend of historic elegance and cozy comfort. We ordered coffee and the Irish coffee, which was exceptional and easily one of the best we’ve had. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere felt inviting, and it was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the Dublin vibe.

Poor food for price you pay
Food not good for the price you pay. Came last year and had lovely meal, very disappointing today. Christmas Sandwich at €20 was average. Chicken Caesar salad poor - loads of stalks of the lettuce, very little chicken or sauce, stale croutons. Kids meals served with crisps instead of chips and pasta ragu had very little pasta - which is the bit kids want the most. Had a super lovely waitress though - Nicoletta - she was fantastic and looked after us very well. Lovely setting, great service. Good very disappointing, expensive and slow to arrive.
