Definitely Book it!!
Loved Fun Tours/ our Guide Paul! Went over 20 years ago with friends and was somewhat underwhelmed- getting a guide this time was the Best way to go! Paul was super interesting and dynamic and I stead of standing in one place we had multiple vantage points and took in also the horse guards! 13 years old also enjoyed- Highly recommend!
It started well and continued till we marched along the old guards. After that, when the crowd got thicker, the two guides, Alex and Emily, simply vanished alongwith their tattered flags. We couldn't locate them anywhere, although we could spot three other tour operators. We waited for almost half an hour, frantically looking for either of the two, but failed to find out.
Rosie was OUTSTANDING in leading our tour!
Absolutely LOVED the tour! With all the complications involved in trying to view the changing of the guards in various crowded locations, it was so helpful to have help. Our tour guide, Rosie, was amazing and delightful. With over 1,000 tours of the changing of the guards personally conducted by Rosie, she was extremely knowledgeable and FUN as well. This tour was exceptional and totally worth the modest cost of a ticket.
Best Changing of the Guard tour
I have had several visits to the Changing of the Guard ceremony but this tour was by far the best. I saw the parade from different viewpoints, got so close to them on The Mall and love the variety of locations. Our guide, Angie, was amazing 👏 great knowledge, awesome stories and so helpful. 5 stars 🌟 and more.
So, so
Wanted to hear more about the Knights Templar and given an opportunity to go into the church . We were prepared to pay for entry fees but felt rushed to get going again. Not given the opportunity to enter. We spent more time at the “Roman” bath. Felt our guide was more interested in being funny than informative at times.
Phenomenal tour with guide Rachel! I already left a more detailed review on Trip Advisor but this tour with my two kids (ages 10 and 8) and my mother was just incredible. Rachel was so knowledgeable and made the info so accessible / fascinating for my kids. Just incredible. Thanks for everything Rachel!!!
Phenomenal tour, with my kids!
Rachel our tour guide was incredible and made this an absolutely phenomenal tour. I went with my mother and two children (ages 10 and 8). The weather started out a bit drizzly, to quite windy and rainy, but cleared so nicely that the band played and we got the whole experience! Rachel was cheery through it all, telling us plan A and plan B depending on the weather (the plans for the guards change, so we would follow the best path). She was so knowledgeable. I was a bit unsure how my kids would do, but they absolutely loved it and my daughter (10) also commented on how much she was learning- how interesting (and accessible) Rachel made it all. I recommend this 1000%!!!!
Fantastic Tour
Our tour guide was Rosie. She was energetic, witty, knowledgeable and great fun. The tour was superb, informative and thought provoking. We visited back street places we didn’t know existed and learned so much that you otherwise wouldn’t pick up. The tour covered the entire history of the City of London from Roman Britain through medieval times and upto post WW2. This is a must if you’re visiting the city and would definitely recommend
Changing of the guards with Angie!
Angie was our guide and she was just fabulous! We had a great experience and got many spectacular photos. We were always in the right place at the right time. Angie was a wealth of information as well. This was our first tour of a two week trip and probably the best.
See more and learn more than you would have expected
After being a London taxi driver for 37 years, we knew our guide "Joe" knew his way around the city. This was NOT just a quick view of the guard change kind of tour. Excellent walking tour with so much historical background of sites and colorful stories of prior royalty, and of course the guard themselves, all along the way to the procession routes. We were able to see all three guard changes plus even got a wave from King Charles as his motorcade happened to drive past us on his way into the palace. Don't even think about trying to do the changing of the guard on your own. You may see some of it but will miss out on so much of the history behind it.
