Salvex is not worth your time --trust real reviews The 5-star reviews here do not reflect my experience. In my opinion, this company is a joke and is scamming people. Would you want real money you wired contingent on inspection to be turned into a digital IOU “credit” without your permission after they admit the goods were “sold by the owner”? That’s exactly what happened to me. My Salvex account still shows an unauthorized $15,229 “credit” tied to a lot of 500 SKF bearings from a wire I sent in December 2024 (I have screenshots). I have no goods and no refund. How Salvex works (from my experience): This is nothing like eBay. Buyers do not know who the seller is and never deal with them directly. You deal only with Salvex staff in the middle. Their “office” phone goes to an answering service. I made multiple calls, left messages, and never got a real Salvex person to resolve anything. When I asked the answering service when anyone from “accounting” would be in, they couldn’t tell me any time or date or explain how this could be a real office number if nothing is ever handled. Their advertised office is in a downtown Houston high-rise with shared/virtual offices. I sat in that building for about two hours in December 2024. The call center told me Salvex staff were “in a meeting” and would come down. The building staff later told me the doors on that floor were locked and the lights were off. In my opinion, it felt like a paper presence, not a real operating office. Timeline of my experience: Early December 2024 – My bid for the bearings was accepted contingent on me inspecting them in person. Mid-December 2024 – I wired $15,229 to Salvex in good faith, to be held until inspection. A few days later – I flew to Texas with my young son and rented a vehicle to go inspect. I was never given an inspection address, never saw the bearings, never received any goods. Shortly after – A Salvex rep emailed that the bearings had been “sold by the owner” and my refund would be marked urgent. I wired funds contingent on inspecting goods Salvex represented as available. I have never been able to verify that the goods existed or were available as advertised, and Salvex has never provided proof of any legitimate sale. To this day, I still do not know if the goods were real. In January 2025, I emailed a legal demand asking for my $15,229 to be returned to my bank account. My tracking records show it was opened multiple times. Nearly a year later, I still have no goods and no refund—only an internal “credit” I never agreed to at any time. Looking back, it would be very easy for someone to post a high-value listing, act as a middleman, take a wire, and then tell the buyer “the owner sold it” while keeping the money. I’m not saying that’s what happens every time, but that is how my experience feels. I have filed a police report, opened a financial crimes case, and filed a federal online fraud complaint. Date of my experience: December 2024 – almost a full year of chasing my own money. In my opinion, regulators should be looking very hard at this platform. I will never do business with Salvex again.

Beware — My Experience Suggests This Company Operates Unethically and is a Scam I made a $7,000 payment for an auction, with the clear condition that I needed to inspect the items and verify the quantity before the funds would be released to the seller. Shortly after, I was contacted by a representative, who informed me that the quantity had changed — instead of 165 pallets, there would only be 105. I agreed to proceed on the condition that I would be reimbursed $2,750 for the shortfall. Initially, she claimed the refund would be issued as site credit, which I declined. I made it clear that I expected the funds to be returned directly to my bank account. She agreed and told me she would confirm the process with the "Credit Manager." I provided my banking details for the refund, but despite numerous follow-up calls over the next two weeks, I received nothing but vague responses and delays. It has since become clear that this is a pattern — after reading similar reviews online, I realized others have reported the same issue of being misled and having their funds withheld. I’m currently pursuing a claim through Small Claims Court and urge others to be extremely cautious. No matter how appealing a deal may seem, do not wire any money to this company unless you're willing to risk losing it. Their practices appear deceptive, and based on what I’ve read, many people have already filed complaints with their respective Attorney Generals. I plan to do the same. Follow-Up Update: After I posted my initial review, the company finally processed the refund they had been delaying for weeks. Immediately afterward, they attempted to contact me again to pressure me into removing my honest feedback. When I declined to speak with them any further and refused to take my review down, they responded by posting a retaliatory negative review on my own Google profile. What makes this even more troubling is that their public reply under my review doesn’t address the real issue at all — they referenced a completely different order for coffee that went smoothly, instead of the $7,000 auction payment and the missing pallets I originally reviewed. Yet the retaliatory review they left on my business page conveniently mentions the correct order for Surgical Gowns. Their inconsistent story and retaliatory behavior speak for themselves. My review remains because people deserve transparency. A company that delays refunds, misdirects with irrelevant responses, and then retaliates against customers for telling the truth shows you exactly what level of integrity they operate with. I stand by every word of my original experience so others can make informed decisions.

This review is outright false. The customer paid for the coffee and collected it six days later, exactly as agreed. Choosing to fabricate a negative story after a completed transaction is unacceptable. We will not work with this customer again.

Salvex’s platform proved to be an excellent solution I recently supported an Oil & Gas Operator in the UAE in selling two used Solar Turbines, Saturn, to free up space on their property. Acting as a Salvex contractor, I was able to successfully connect the seller with MRO Oil & Gas, facilitating a smooth, fast, and efficient transaction. Salvex’s platform proved to be an excellent solution for companies looking to sell surplus assets on a global scale. Highly recommended for anyone in the energy sector seeking reliable buyers and a streamlined process.

I'm writing this to publicly warn everyone: Salvex is a scam. Over a year ago, I deposited $30,000 USD into my Salvex account. They've been holding my money as a credit balance ever since and refusing to return it to my bank account despite repeated requests. Every time I ask for a refund, they ignore me, delay the response, or simply go silent. They are refusing to return my own money. To try to recover at least some value from this situation, I recently placed a $30,000 bid on a product listed by a seller I personally know and trust. The seller contacted me directly and said my offer was "too low" and asked if I could bid higher -- which made no sense to me. Later, the same seller showed me screenshot proof that Salvex only presented him with an offer of $10,000, not the $30,000 I actually bid. In other words: I placed a $30,000 bid (I have full screenshots). Salvex only showed the seller a $10,000 offer. (images attached ) This isn't just poor service -- this is fraud. They are withholding customers' money, lying about bids, and manipulating offers between buyers and sellers for reasons I can only assume are dishonest or illegal. After more than a year, $30,000 of my funds are still stuck, and Salvex continues to avoid any accountability. I strongly advise everyone: stay far away from Salvex. This company is not trustworthy. and I will not stay silent until this issue is resolved.

SCAM Company. We were awarded a winning bid. We sent payment to SALVEX. The seller will not deliver the goods as advertised. SALVEX could care less. Full of excuses. BUYER BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are other reputable auction sites.

As contractor working with Salvex, I recently worked on a project in Pasadena, TX to sell 14,669.20 sqft of surplus premium solid pine flooring. The process went well, and we were able to connect with a buyer fairly quickly through Salvex’s marketplace.

I worked with a client in New Jersey who needed to sell a surplus inventory of three coils. The transaction was completed much faster than I expected, and the process was both transparent and efficient. This experience underscored the value Salvex provides to construction companies. Working as a Salvex contractor has shown me firsthand how effective their platform is in helping clients unlock value from surplus assets.

I participated in the acquisition of a lot of abandoned scooters that had been left behind by their original owner. From start to finish, the process was remarkably good and well-organized. and from my role as a Salvex contractorI could confirm that the company provided excellent support and ensured that all the necessary steps were handled efficiently. The cargo was successfully transported to Africa. Everything went according to plan and carefully thought out.

I had a great experience using Salvex to sell an aircraft tug. I managed the entire process, from finding a buyer and handling the equipment inspection to coordinating transportation. The transaction was efficient, and it also helped strengthen professional relationships. From my experience as a Salvex contractor, I can confidently say that company is a reliable and effective marketplace for buying and selling aviation parts.

Salvex provided an efficient and stress-free solution for the client asset recovery needs. The platform made it simple to list items and connect with buyers. As a Salvex contractor, I handled the sale of specialized drilling equipment for UK clients, overseeing paperwork, and logistics quotes, and coordinating with sellers and transport teams to ensure smooth shipment. Despite the complexities of logistics and regulations, everything stayed organized and on track, with prompt payment and buyer pick-up. This experience confirmed for me that Salvex is an ideal choice for sourcing surplus or used equipment for projects of any scale.

I recommend Salvex, it's a really good marketplace for used oil and gas products. Recently I had a good experience while participating in a used energy pipe transaction in South Africa. The company sales team guided me through the whole transaction process.
