The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The baths themselves are very relaxing. The saltwater pools were amazing but my big gripe was that it needs to be quiet. They piped in a spa track that was blaring under the water so as your floating weightless your listening to this annoying music played on the same loop soundtrack. Not very easy to meditate. none of the other pools had this. It really ruined the experience. The spy would benefit from having some heated lounge chairs between spa bathes so if you’d like to take a break, you could wrap yourself up and relax on a comfy curved heated ergonomic lounger. Also, There’s really only one hot bath at 104°. All the rest of them are 97-99 degrees and one cold bath at 50°. I think you need to have more hot options. I would’ve liked to put this in the emailed survey that was sent to me . However, the survey was very minimal with yes and no responses and multiple-choice responses which to me are not that helpful to figure out what your customers want. Overall, the amenities are very nice. The staff very Friendly and accommodating. We did not partake in massages due to scheduling conflicts. I also think it needs to have a cedar sauna in there an option to rotate through your hydrotherapy. There is a steam room, but it’s just not the same. Steam room had a very lovely mint smell to it, though. In Chicago, there is an Aire spa and I have been eyeing these for a long time so when we came to New York I decided to indulge. I have been to several hydrotherapy spas And for $175 for 90 minutes in the bath spa, including a do it yourself body scrub, and eye treatment and an immunity shot, I’m not sure if I’ll be running back for another visit in New York or or Chicago.
Quedas 100% renovada.
5 stars are not enough.
From stepping through the front door until reluctantly leaving, the staff, ambience and experience are fantastic. Every step of the way staff are there to guide, inform and assist with a can’t do enough attitude.
Awaiting you are a multitude of pools and experiences with an excellent massage from a gifted masseur (Timon) .
It is a fabulously evocative setting, that really conjures up the delightfully relaxing Greco - Romanesk ambience. Thoroughly recommend..
My wife and I booked AIRE Ancient Baths New York to celebrate her birthday after hearing great reviews and expecting a relaxing luxury experience. Unfortunately, the experience became uncomfortable and disappointing within the first 30 minutes.
While quietly sitting together in one of the pools, a staff member approached me and asked me to “be mindful of my voice level” despite the fact that I was not speaking at the time. The interaction immediately made us feel singled out, embarrassed, and uncomfortable, completely shifting the atmosphere from peaceful to tense.
When we later asked the staff member about the situation, she explained that sound travels through the room because of the acoustics and high ceilings. However, since we were not talking when approached, the explanation only added to our confusion and frustration.
At that point, my wife was upset and uncomfortable, and we decided to leave before even receiving the couples massage we had booked. What made the situation worse was the lack of concern from the front desk staff as we exited. No one asked what happened or showed any empathy despite us leaving early from a birthday experience we had been looking forward to for weeks.
The entire situation left us feeling unwelcome and deeply disappointed. For a luxury wellness establishment that promotes peace, relaxation, and hospitality, the customer service and handling of this experience fell far below expectations. Most importantly, it completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday memory for my wife.
An exceptional experience at AIRE Ancient Baths❤️without question one of the finest spa visits I’ve had. From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in a serene, candlelit atmosphere that feels both timeless and indulgent.
The level of service is impeccable. Every member of staff is warm, discreet, and highly professional, creating a sense of effortless comfort throughout the visit. The attention to detail is truly remarkable.
A special mention to Brian, who is simply outstanding. His expertise, intuitive technique, and calming presence elevate the entire experience to something truly memorable. Each treatment with him leaves me feeling deeply relaxed, restored, and completely renewed.
This is a place where luxury, tranquility, and mastery come together beautifully. I leave every time with the same thought, it couldn’t have been better. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly elevated and unforgettable spa experience.
A truly incredible experience from start to finish. AIRE Ancient Baths Chicago is one of the most relaxing and thoughtfully designed spaces I’ve ever visited. The atmosphere immediately makes you slow down — dim lighting, calming music, beautiful architecture, and a peaceful energy that feels worlds away from the chaos of the city outside.
What impressed me most was the variety of experiences available. There are so many different baths and temperature options that you can completely customize the experience to what your body needs in the moment. Every space felt intentional, clean, and meticulously maintained.
The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely accommodating without being intrusive. You can tell they prioritize guest comfort and relaxation. Everything ran smoothly, and the entire environment felt luxurious while still warm and welcoming.
If you need a reset for your nervous system, sore muscles, stress level, or honestly your faith in humanity for a couple hours — this is the place. Absolutely worth the visit and easily one of the highlights of my Chicago trip.

Thank you for your kind words! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed our experience, and we can’t wait to see you back, Alyssa.
Made an appointment for my wife on Mother’s Day for this place and needless to say the worst experience she has endured. Over priced and rudeness for front desk people. Stressed out my wife for a checkin that should be so easy I am not spending my hard earned money at this place. Not going to this again. I’ll go to kohler instead

We are sorry to hear we fell short of your expectations. Please get in touch with us at chicago@beaire.com, so we can better understand your experience and work towards a resolution.
We booked a couples massage with access to the spa. While we liked the facilities, there were some things that will prevent us from ever returning. Firstly, and this does factor somewhat into my review, but the first impression from the valet staff is far below satisfactory. After they parked our car, I literally said that I hoped the rest of the experience and treatment from the staff was better then the parking situation. And it was! Thank goodness. The staff was great. The quality of the massage was good. Not great. But not bad. It was just good. Unfortunately there was a rattling A/C vent that was very distracting. The spa was clean and beautiful. I love the environment but it should have been peaceful and relaxing. But, the thing that makes me give it only 2 stars is that there is a time limit on your spa time. We had unlimited time (because of the package we booked) but we were still bothered every so often to show the staff our wrist bands to prove we were allowed to be there for as long as we wanted. And if we weren't being bothered, the people immediately around us were being bothered....which annoyed us as well. If we booked only the spa access, it would have been limited to 90 minutes. It was bad enough that we were repeatedly bothered to show our wrist bands when we were allowed to be in there as long as we wanted. But imagine going in there with only a 90 minute time limit. Not only is the staff bothering you (and those around you) but you would have this impending time limit on your mind. It's ridiculous and for the price you pay to be there, there should NOT be a silly time limit like that. I have never been to a spa that does this and for this reason alone, I would never return to AIRE. I can't even say that I would recommend it. I would recommend going somewhere else. AIRE is not peaceful and not worth it.
I booked the "Ultimate Bath for Two" for my wife’s 30th birthday and Mother’s Day May 9th 9PM, expecting the high-end, relaxing experience AIRE is known for. Unfortunately, the evening was significantly marred by the attitude of the staff in the bath area.
Since this was a first-time visit for my wife and mother-in-law, they were unfamiliar with the layout and protocols. They reached out to the bath area supporter three separate times for guidance. Rather than receiving the warm hospitality you’d expect from a luxury establishment, they were met with total disinterest. The staff member was unhelpful and, at times, openly condescending, making my guests feel like a burden for asking basic questions.
It is incredibly disheartening that a special surprise was spoiled because the service didn't match the beautiful ambiance. While the reception assistant was professional and communicative, the lack of care in the bath area the core of the experience was unacceptable for the premium price paid.
I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and invests in training for their bath area team. A service culture should be warm and approachable, not cold and dismissive. I’m sharing this in the hope that future guests don’t have their celebrations dampened by the same lack of professionalism.
Nice water therapies and a beautiful space, but the experience felt off. They apparently come around ringing bells so you understand time spent, but we never heard or saw that and ended up asking about our massage appointment and waiting. The experience didn’t feel as luxurious as the aesthetic and pricing suggest — small towels, weak shower pressure/temperature, Shea Moisture hair products, a basic water station, and only one tea option in small paper cups. The mandatory water socks also took some getting used to, and in retrospect the idea of them being washed and reused feels a bit unhygienic.
