Horrible place to work Terrible culture, horribly hostile work environment. Cliquish, gossiping, rude, upper management. If you see a flurry of 5-star reviews on GlassDoor or Indeed, look at the dates, and you will see that these reviews are all submitted around the same time. That’s because management pushes employees to post these positive reviews to mislead people. This company only cares about how many beds they can fill to make money. They are completely unethical, lack decency, transparency, honesty, and respect. After a 15-year long career working with the I/DD population, I walked away from it because of my absolutely awful experience with Beacon.

Unfair termination, but still love them I loved beacon , I was one of the best help in the company, I was working about 200 hours every 2 weeks for 9 months straight, I was cooking real meals for all the individuals , whatever house I picked, my individuals was my priority, I was making sure they clean, eat good food and I was taking them out, I made them feel like regular people, but for the very first time I got upset and yelled at one of them, they immediately terminated me, no warning , I wasn’t calling out, I was really working, cleaning house, doing laundry etc. I was hurt when they fired me , but now I’m ok, I’m still checking on them once in a while , they missed me and I do as well. But I keep praying they get good staff to take care of them. Much love

Do not be fooled by many of these high reviews. If you simply Google search the names, you will find that they work for Beacon. My son is currently in one of their groups homes and the experience has been terrible. Do NOT place your loved one in their care. Please go find somewhere else.

My sister is in a Pennsylvania facility and the quality of care is poor. Incidents reports are not filled, staff members lie, no exercise and no swimming is provided, mice feces(droppings) in her room. They are given mostly pre processed unhealthy food. Questions go unanswered or ignored. It would not allow me to give 0 stars in rating so I had to give 1.

Good company Beacon Specialized Living truly makes their employees feel appreciated. They consistently show support for their staff and recognize the hard work we do every day. Beacon also gives back by offering excellent benefits, including great insurance coverage that provides peace of mind for employees and their families. Their 401(k) plan is one of the best I’ve seen—better than any other company I’ve worked for—and it really shows that Beacon cares about our long-term future. Overall, Beacon creates a supportive, rewarding work environment where employees feel valued and respected.

I have never worked for a more supportive company. The support that is available is unlimited. Everyone is willing to go above and beyond to help each other out. The work can be difficult at times due to the severity of our residents but knowing you are making a positive impact on people's lives make those difficult days worth it. I have never been happier in my work/life balance.

Even though I'm new, I've come to really look forward to my shifts. I am a positive energy each time I'm here, at Anchor Pointe. The clients, I feel, look forward to me being here. Some of them have come out of their shells, at least for me. They enjoy telling me their story, I enjoy listening to them, and in turn some of them like to ask about my family and my background. So far, I'd have to say, my favorite memory of being here is from the other day, when a client found out I was their 1:1 and they were so excited! Another favorite memory was when I was told by a staff that's been here a while, that my client that day is good for me... he listens, doesn't try to run, is respectful toward me.
