I have never worked for a more supportive company. The support that is available is unlimited. Everyone is willing to go above and beyond to help each other out. The work can be difficult at times due to the severity of our residents but knowing you are making a positive impact on people's lives make those difficult days worth it. I have never been happier in my work/life balance.

Have worked at Beacon Specialized Living for 35+ years, working with people with Intellectual Disabilities is very rewarding and although it can be challenging at times, you always have a sense of purpose, especially in knowing how important caring staff are.

I don't like that the aguency they dont exist until they suspect you can or may have the power to remove their residents. They think they are family to these children. They confiscate their electronics, they purposely break them to make the parents buy them again. They don't understand rules of the parents. The hardest thing fo r them is for them to have to resist making money of of them physically. Nit being able to touch ir feel. They'll find away even if it's by helping or causing Kaos.

The Clio location is always got cops there with people fighting and causing a scene last summer they blocked the road and nobody could go in or out I’m great full I live on neff road and not Bondy but I feel bad for the Bondy road residents with all the riff raft that are so loud they can hear them 1000 feet away

Even though I'm new, I've come to really look forward to my shifts. I am a positive energy each time I'm here, at Anchor Pointe. The clients, I feel, look forward to me being here. Some of them have come out of their shells, at least for me. They enjoy telling me their story, I enjoy listening to them, and in turn some of them like to ask about my family and my background. So far, I'd have to say, my favorite memory of being here is from the other day, when a client found out I was their 1:1 and they were so excited! Another favorite memory was when I was told by a staff that's been here a while, that my client that day is good for me... he listens, doesn't try to run, is respectful toward me.
