Loan officer sent me a loan disclosure with a rate. I was working with a competitor as well. I called him to see what he could do to lower the rate and during negotiations promised me an even lower rate to get me to go with him opposed to a competitive quote. I signed the loan disclosure. 2 weeks later says he can't get the rate he originally quoted or the one he promised and the rates are up and the rate is much higher now. I was not happy. It gets worse. Then one week after that doesn't even call me, but sends me a loan disclosure with a once again even higher rate that I am paying 6K to buy down to even get it there. He sent this 1 day before I would be in breach of contract so I couldn't even source a new loan without losing my earnest money. Can't speak for all officers at the firm, this review is for Ken specifically.
