My dog Hugo has been to Battlers Green Vets twice in the past week, and both times we’ve had such a positive experience. Our vet, Jonathan, has been incredibly patient, kind, and thorough - you can really tell he cares about the animals he treats. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure Hugo was calm and comfortable throughout.
It’s so refreshing to find a practice where the team genuinely puts the animals’ welfare first, rather than focusing on the money. Everyone there is friendly, compassionate, and professional. I can’t recommend Jonathan and the whole team at Battlers Green Vets enough!

I had a disappointing experience at this vet clinic. I brought my pet in for a fairly simple issue, but the vet immediately pushed for a full panel of blood tests without clearly explaining why they were necessary. It felt excessive and more focused on upselling services than addressing the actual problem.
When I asked for clarification, I didn’t get much reassurance or transparency — just pressure to go ahead with the tests. In the end, the results didn’t add any useful information, and I was left with a much higher bill than expected.

I must assume you are either not a client of ours? or perhaps mixed up our clinic with someone else? Please feel free to look at our other reviews to guage the sort of clinic we are. As I say I cannot comment on your experience and I do not belive it occurred at our clinic - where we are praised for our transparency as well as the lengths we go to in explaining why we do what we do. I would suggest always contacting your clinic to discuss any charges and reporting any concerns. A mistakenly written negative review can have a very bad (and mis-directed) effect on a business, such as yours has done now.
Monkey recently had a dental procedure at Battlers Green Vets, and the whole experience was incredibly smooth from start to finish. Jon is a fantastic professional — knowledgeable, kind, and always happy to take the time to explain everything clearly. This is the second dog I’ve brought to see Jon, and I can confidently say I’ve found the right vet for my pets. I couldn’t recommend Battlers Green Vets highly enough!

From day one when we transfered Frankie to Battlers Green Vets (over 2 years now) they have been fantastic. The difference from our previous vets was night and day. Jonathan and the team are always welcoming, compassionate, and kind but most of all caring. We have always found everything to be well priced and hes always been extremely well looked after when visiting. Frankie agrees, and he wouldn't go anywhere else 🐾

I cannot recommend this vet in Battlers Green enough! 💚
My Ivy Blu is my absolute baby, and when she needed a lump removed I was so nervous, especially as it was my first time using this vet. From start to finish, the care and professionalism were outstanding.
Jonathan carried out Ivy’s surgery, and his experience was obvious from the moment we spoke. He was fast, professional, and reassuring, he made me feel confident that I was doing the right thing for her.
A few days later, I had to bring Ivy back (my own fault – I took her cone off too early and she scratched her wound).
The practice has a brilliant PetsApp service, so I was able to message them during opening hours and they got back to me instantly, arranging for Ivy to be seen right away.
This time, she was looked after by Abigail, I believe she’s new to the practice, but wow, she was amazing! She was so kind, understanding, and empathetic towards me (I was feeling awful). She was professional and had Ivy sorted within half an hour. A week later, Ivy is completely healed and doing brilliantly.
Every single member of the team we met was friendly, welcoming, and clearly adored Ivy, and she loved going in, even after surgery! Thank you to Jonathan, Abigail, and the whole team for looking after my girl so well.

I've been a dog owner for 30yrs and visited many different vets. We've been going to Battlers Green for a couple of years and its the best ever. Lovely reception staff, excellent vets who take time with the dogs and explain everything on detail. Easy to get appointments, easy parking, dog walks in the fields around ( best walk is to cross the road outside the retail area, there is a gate and a footpath sign).

Absolutely worth every mile
From start to finish, the staff was polite and courteous
David, Unlike most vets Came across more concerned for the animal rather than for his pocket
I have been given a quotation to repair my little dog Pepe who had broken his elbow in his front leg
After David did his x-rays he gave me a call and explained to me that it could possibly do my pups some more damage because of the type of fracture it was if they tried to repair it
Most vets, Who we must agree on white collar Robbers, Would have just gone ahead for the sake of the extra money, but David didnt Do this which shows to me he is more for the concern of the animal than what he is for his pocket
After I collected young Pepe, he explained to me step-by-step what I should be doing to get Pepe on the road to Recovery
Not only did he explain it to me he sent it to me in an idiot proof email, Taking the time to make sure that the customer is happy and had full knowledge of what to do and expect Next
The receptionists were also very polite, courteous and the surgery itself was very spotless and modern
I could not Recommend these people enough

I would like to add that on the whole it is a very caring profession and most vets are not out there to fleece people. Wishing you and Pepe well.
We recently joined Battlers Green Vets and are so pleased that we did! Unexpectedly, our dog Misty had an issue and had to take her out of hours to their associated hospital. Before I even had a chance to phone them in the morning to discuss, they already knew about it, contacted me and assisted with invaluable advice. Such a superb service from a warm and friendly team and can't recommend highly enough!

My little rescue Connie ( cat ) had most of her tail amputated on Monday after becoming trapped in a window 😢 I was so stressed and tearful on arrival, the receptionist was absolutely wonderful and kind, the vet had her straight into theatre and did wonders with her . Despite loathing the cone she is recovering well, this is the second visit after a bite on the paw last year where upon I received sterling treatment. Marvellous surgery 10 stars 🙏🙏

I am writing this review on behalf of my sister who lost her dog Scrappy a few weeks ago.
I cannot express how grateful I am you guys added extra months to his life and you really really cared for my sister Jess and her dog I am forever grateful for that. My sisters vet was David an absolute star honest, caring and really put our dog first.
The whole team are amazing and really do go above and beyond - Chloe if I could give you 10 stars I would thank you for being there for my sister and Scrappy I know he was very fond of you right up until his last day so thank you so much for looking after him keep up the good work it does not go unnoticed we were referred to you by a passer by on the street and it was a blessing and I will do the same and spread the word of this lovely vet thanks again for all your help Scrappy and family are forever grateful❤️

I would give them 100 stars if I could. I can’t begin to explain the support and help they have given us with our new puppy. He has needed the vet a few times and everyone has been amazing. Not only have they seen him in the vets but I’ve had calls and messages checking up on him. Everyone there really does go above and beyond. I can't recommend them enough! 🤩🤩🤩

This review is a true and honest reflection of our recent experiences at Battlers Green Veterinary Centre. It was back in December we first noticed that our 5 year old cat (Bam Bam) was just not right in herself. We felt the best thing for Bam Bam would be to get her seen by our local vet at Battlers Green and made an appointment to see David later that afternoon. It turns out we was right to do so as our cat had some serious and complex blood issues going on as well as being diagnosed with anaemia. The blood tests were done in-house and David took the time to go through the results and answer the many questions that we (I) had. Unfortunately, the bloods that were sent away identified that Bam Bam was also FELV positive which we had no real knowledge about. Again, I was able to speak to both David and Jon (vet and practice owner) who explained exactly what this meant, how we (us and the vets) could manage this and what to expect moving forwards. It gave us real peace of mind to feel supported at a time when we was having to process a lot of complex health issues with our cat.
We have since had to go back to the vets with a new issue which turned out to be a build up of fluid on Bam Bam's lungs. We saw David again who explained everything that he would be doing on the day to drain the fluid, answering all of our questions and explained how he would carry out various tests to ultimately identify the cause of the problem. We felt relieved to be able to entrust our cat in such competent hands. Several members of the nursing team came out to reception throughout the day to give us regular updates on how things were going and for that we was truly grateful.
I have even been back to the vets just to speak with David as I had some questions that came to me after we had taken our cat home.
The whole team at Battlers Green Veterinary centre act with both professionalism and compassion and we would not think twice in recommending the practice to fellow owners should they need advice and treatment for their animals.

Not sure how to start and how David made me feel. First of all my appointment was at three o'clock and,he,was ten minutes late .Saw him in tbe car park just putting his jacket on. Then he was extremely rude show absolute no passion, compassion, love or any kindness towards me or my animal. I was,asking about various treatment options for my dog which he completely ignored. Then he accused me of being animal abuser. Saying did you know being an animal abuser is against the law?? I was,shocked and almost burst out crying. Me as,a woman with my dogs on my own with a horrible vet who has no compassion and love whatsoever!!.
All because he wanted to sale some pain medication I wasn't interested on. The vet supposed to work with you and not against you ,treating me like dirt.I have never met a Vet like him before made me fell absolute why are you even exist feeling. It was,awful!! Well let me tell you I Will never go back to Battlers Green and,I will tell all my friends I know not too either. The treatment I have received today and cost me £117 was disgusting and unexpectable. I would give zero star if it would be the option.

Good Evening Ms Sarkozi. It is quite disheartening that you have left such a review. Please be aware such a negative review can have on small businesses especially when not factually true. I apologise if David was late to the appointment, I understand he was assisting a client with transporting their unwell dog back to the car and so had to get changed as it was covered in sick. David, before coming to work at Battlers Green Vets was the head vet of The South London branches of the PDSA for 12 years . Overseeing hundreds of animals, many cases of neglect and cruelty. He has an exemplary record and shows kindness and compassion towards patients and their owners alike and was very concerned by what he saw yesterday. Unfortunately your dog is not well and it is our duty to inform clients when their pet is not in a good way or suffering, sometimes when clients cannot see it for themselves. Or choose not to see it. We believe your dog is suffering and in pain. He is very poorly and David was impressing upon you he cannot be left, not helping him is tantamount to neglect. David did not say you are abusing him but he cannot be left. We as vets take an oath to protect animals and we cannot turn a blind eye to potential neglect. For reference £117 was for the vaccinations you wanted him to have and are what he received.
