Please be careful while selecting these tours full of many people. The water is dangerous at some points and nobody will be there to protect you. There is no guide, just the staff. They just tell you to jump and snorkel by yourselves. No information is given. At the underwater sculptures point noone warned us and we were not able to swim back to boat anymore due to strong water current. Horrible experience! Just pay a bit more to stay safe.

In our experience, we have not been captured in any gopro photos as promised, felt overcrowded, no water supplied, there was no guide while snorkelling about where to swim or look, it is easy to get drifted and lost because no one looks after the group nor lead. We had to find our way back with the help of another boat. Staff was unfriendly and incompetent in our public tour experience.

We had a lovely morning on a private boat, took us to some lovely places and guided through the water. Took us to a quiet location away from the crowds.

Waste of time and money. You are better off doing it on turtle point at Gili T. Out of 4 hour tour, snorkelling time was less than 1 hour. They rushed everything. Instructor jumped in the water and just hurried his way through the snorkelling spots without waiting for all people to get down . It was a mess with so many boats. All 3 spots are near Gili Meno, Out of 3 spot, 1st spot is where statues can be seen. Nothing really interesting about it. Out of 25-30 people in the boat only 7-8 managed to see it. Underwater current is so strong , only good swimmers could follow the instructor. Second spot was turtle spot where you see couple of turtles. But you can see them on the Trawangan beach turtle point for free. Third spot was supposed to be blue coral but all we saw was dead colourless corals. We started at 1.10 pm and all 3 spots were finished by 3.20 pm. Then boat rode for 20 minutes to Gili Air just to stop at some local restaurant for almost 40 minutes before taking us back to Gili T. Some photos were taken while snorkelling by instructor but they were all chaotic. In short, they are not organised. They do not care if some people are not expert swimmers. They didn’t give life jackets until instructor jumped out of boat at 1st spot. And lastly, all snorkelling spots are boring. See corals in Redang island in Malaysia and Krabi in Thailand.

Avoid!! terrible snorkel equipment and old boat. We did a Private snorkeling tour - it was a total waste of money and the owner of this shop is least concerned about customer experience. Upon return he did not even have a coutesy of asking us about experience. - Conditions of snorkeling equipment were terrible. - The life jacket given was not in good condition. The lock/buckle of it was loose. I complained to the boat captain about it and he rudely said it's fine and you won't die. - the tour was of 2 hours but he made false excuse of high current and reduced it to 1 hour 30 mins only. Please avoid this shop.

BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK! THEY ARE SCAMMERS! If I could give zero stars to this company, I would! They don’t even deserve one star. We were extremely disappointed with the service from this agency. Despite booking early—four months in advance—and paying a hefty deposit in March for a 4D3N sailing trip from Lombok to Labuan Bajo on July 10th, we were notified just one day before our departure that our boat was not sailing and all other boats were full. The lame explanation given was high waves, yet other boats were still operating, making us feel scammed. I suspect they canceled because the boat wasn't full and they didn't want to operate. Although Rama of 17Tour seemed helpful during our initial inquiries, it was likely just a business tactic, as the entire process was riddled with dishonesty. We were not informed that the original boat we booked and paid for had ceased service. Only when I checked the website two weeks before our departure did I notice, to my horror, that the boat listed on the new website was completely different! Our original booking was for a private double bunk bed room with an attached private bathroom, but the new listing was for a mass "refugee"-like boat with 60 people on paper-thin mattresses and shared bathrooms. When I messaged 17Tour on WhatsApp to confirm my suspicions and double-check pickup arrangements, they admitted that the original boat I booked no longer existed. They would not have informed us if we hadn’t checked beforehand, meaning we were overpaying for what we would be getting! After lengthy negotiations, they promised a better boat with a private double bed, an extra single bed (for our party of three), and a private bathroom. With their “promise,” we decided to proceed with the trip. Unfortunately, even this alternative was fake. They canceled on us just one day before our scheduled sailing date, and we had already flown into Lombok. Without prior hotel bookings and with our connecting flights back home from Labuan Bajo to Bali, this led to significant additional costs and forced us to cut short our vacation. The appalling lack of responsibility and dishonesty from this tour operator forced us to forfeit our connecting flights and incur additional expenses, which we had to bear ourselves. We had to cut our trip short and fly back home, as it was too late to make alternative arrangements. Our entire experience in Lombok was ruined by this agency, which showed no remorse and offered no resolution beyond a cursory apology for not finding a boat.

Hello. We apologize in advance for your inconvenience, but it would be a good idea for us to straighten out the accusations you have made against us according to the facts on the ground. First of all, we, 17tour agency, are a travel agent that connects you with the tour provider according to what you ordered, in this case Komodo trip. In this case, the tour provider you choose is Komodo Phinisi Cruise. Long before you book the tour, Komodo Phinisi Cruise offered us one ship to market to customers, namely the Bala Raja Cruise, but because there were things beyond our control they decided not to use the Bala Raja Cruise, and they promised to all guests who had booked the ship by replacing it with a better and more appropriate ship. Second, as time went by we saw that this company was not suitable for us to market because of the many complaints from guests who had taken tours with them. so we decided to no longer work with them and removed them from our website. 2 weeks before your departure, we give you an overview and offer you not to use them due to the large number of complaints, instead we offer you a ship that has a good reputation. but you refused and continued to choose that company, until finally what we feared happened, the ship you chose could not depart for reasons that didn't make sense to us, however they informed us only two days before departure day. We also informed you on the same day, we also tried to find a replacement ship so that you could continue on the trip, but in the end all the ships were full. Third, we object to your accusations against us, we are not fraudsters, and we have tried to be as transparent as possible with you. and most importantly, we return all the money you have paid to us. At least we have done our best for you, but your accusations are too big. Our company is too big if it only wants to commit small change fraud as you accuse. Thank You

We booked a private tour with this company and informed them multiple times that we don't know how to swim and would need assistance with snorkeling. They assured us they would help, but when it was time to snorkel, they simply told us to follow them. We couldn't control ourselves in the water and lost sight of our guide, who went too far ahead. The tour, which was supposed to last 2 hours, was completed in just 1 hour. They claimed the underwater statue had moved due to overcrowding and took us back to the boat. When we insisted on seeing the statue, they took us again but only allowed us a brief glimpse. Despite promising to take pictures and videos, none were taken. Additionally, they didn't assist us in getting on and off the boat. This was the worst snorkeling experience we've ever had. We wouldn't recommend booking with this company.

Our time here was fun and the crew were great as well, however there were a lot of problems with our tour. The conditions weren’t great with a lot of cockroaches in the bathrooms and kitchen area. The tour itself only felt worthwhile at the end of the trip with the stops around Komodo island which were incredible. But the first 2 days we rushed through completely only stopping once at an island for less than an hour and once for the whale sharks which were fed. It was fine for the price but if I did this again I’d get a return flight to Labuan Bajo and get an overnight tour of the Komodo islands from there.

Lovely staff, the stops were gorgeous although we seemed to be constantly delayed so we skipped a few spots that the other boats were stopping at. The food was good but some nights there was not enough plates for all of the guests. Finally, the boat was infested with cockroaches!! They were everywhere in the toilet and around the kitchen area and some even in the bedrooms. The staff were so lovely and accommodation but the boat is shabby and quite dirty.

Here is the actually useful review you are looking for. We did the cruise 4 days, 3 nights from Lombok to Flores I post this review on two locations, my tour agency and the cruise office itself. I think the cruise does not deserve the bad ratings its getting, so i will adress some of the common criticism. Me and a friend went with Golden Cruise, the boat was the "88", the one that leaves every Saturday. We booked online with 17tour agency, private sea view cabin. Their communication was fast and they were helpful, everything went well. Thanks to 17tour agency here. For the boat: This is not a luxury cruise. Expect everything to be basic and you will not be disappointed. Almost everyone, us included on the boat is a young western backpacker between 20-30 years old. When you are used to backpack south east asia, facilities are like staying in a hostel. Food: 3 meals a day, usually rice/noodles with fish/chicken/tempe. Pancakes or toast in the morning. Extra eggs if you are vegetarian. Basic but good and sufficient. 2 toiletts, 3 showers. (2 outdoor, 1 indoor), again sufficient. "Manual" flushing the toilett with a waterpot, again, not uncommon in south east asia. The private cabin: A lot of people complained its loud and hot. If you have ever slept in a room without AC, this is no different. It was just fine. The noise: we had the room furthest away from the engine, you could almost not hear it at all. Even for the rooms closer, it did not seem to be much of an issue. Get earplugs if you are worried about a bit of noise. I was able to sleep just fine. Whale Sharks: yes they are being fed while you are there. For me it was still impressive to see them this close and a highlight of my travel. Yes there are a lot of people in the water. Just be the first in the water and you have some minutes before more people arrive. Expect some time spent just travelling on 2. day, bring some card games or movies if you get bored easily, this is not a cruise ship there to entertain you. Other then that, you go snorkeling a couple of times (Good equipment provided, enough for everyone), as well as get of the boat to watch the sunset from beautiful hills. Honestly, i dont really understand the many bad reviews. Everyone i talked to enjoyed it as well. Watching the stars in the middle of the night, see amazing sunrises and sunsets, swim with whale sharks, connect to other backpackers on the boat, beaches, Komodo Dragon from up close, i liked it a lot. The boat was in "good" shape, dont expect it to be "new". It was clean enough to feel comfortable. The boat itself is quite big, you can move around a lot on the two sundecks as well as spent time in sun protected areas. I loved it. We got multiple briefings about the programm throughout the trip. Who is it for: Backpackers and those who dont mind being around them and are fine without western standard for 3 nights. Thanks to the nice team for some great days :)
