My experience with Bailey’s Moving & Storage was extremely disappointing and raised serious concerns about their ethics, professionalism, and overall care for customers’ belongings. If you’re considering them for an out-of-state move, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. During the move-out, members of their staff scratched the floors of the home we had just sold. When questioned, they denied responsibility and claimed the damage was already there, which was not true. The staff member responsible for tagging items also added extra numbers to inflate the inventory count, clearly attempting to prevent us from receiving a volume-based discount. This behavior felt intentional and dishonest. Their truck-handling skills were poor, leading to broken totes, crushed boxes, and a general lack of care. Amid the chaos, a gun bag went missing, which is completely unacceptable—thankfully it was empty, but it should never have disappeared in the first place. Delivery wasn’t any better. The crew arrived unprepared, needing a ladder to unload yet not bringing one, something any professional mover should anticipate. The foreman on the unload was rude and dismissive, adding unnecessary stress. Even worse, when they finished, the foreman took my personal ladder and loaded it into his truck, fully aware it wasn’t his. It took several days and numerous phone calls to get it back, and they only returned it after we informed them we would be filing a police report for theft. To top it off, coordinating the delivery was a nightmare. When our real estate closing was delayed by just one day, the local team was unhelpful and unwilling to accommodate, making an already difficult situation even worse. Overall, Bailey’s Moving & Storage showed poor ethics, dishonesty, lack of preparation, and little respect for customers or their property. This is absolutely not the kind of company you want handling your belongings—especially for a long-distance move. I cannot recommend them under any circumstances.

Choosing Bailey's to move me from Colorado to Canada was the biggest mistake I made in this move. I was upfront about looking for a company who (1) communicates well, (2) provides packing, (3) won't break my stuff, (4) will be on schedule, (5) knows everyone who will unpack the truck on the other side, and (6) gets through customs smoothly. I chose Bailey's on the strength of Josh's promise that he "knew he could do the best job for me." They were not the cheapest bid I received, but I felt the best about Josh, who said he would be my contact throughout the move. The first red flag was when Barb called me two evenings before my move to tell me they would be there the following morning. Barb had done all the work to schedule movers, but had not actually told ME that she was changing the date. The movers ended up packing a lot of stuff I had been intending to give away or trash, at my expense. The next red flag was overhearing the movers say, "Josh is such a liar." They were right - he is a great salesman; I can't say he followed through for me. For one, he was not my main contact. He kept referring me to Barb, until I had to ask who was running my move. Apparently, it was Barb, not Josh. Several times in writing, I told Josh that I wanted delivery on July 12. He wrote it up for August 12. When he realized the mistake, Barb and Josh avoided telling me about it for almost a week while they tried to fix it, and when I got a call from him (after I wrote him a text telling him the silence was making me very nervous), he was defensive and blamed me. After this, trying to get anything from Barb and Josh was like pulling teeth. I can't count the number of times I wrote to Barb "still waiting for a response to this" in the two months before delivery. I was not told when my truck left Colorado; I had to ask as my delivery date approached. When I had a problem with customs, Barb refused to help me. Finally, I asked to be connected to someone who had more experience, and they helped me. Barb just made me fear that I couldn't get delivery at all. Upon delivery, the moving team repeatedly apologized to me for how badly everything was packed. It looked like everything had just been thrown in the truck. Boxes were packed haphazardly: a fishing tackle box from my garage was packed ON TOP OF my husband's dress shirts, which had been in the bedroom closet; one of my books was folded in half to force it to fit in a box of other items from my office; etc. There was more than $8,000 of damage that I was able to document. I tried to reach Josh about it on moving day, but he refused to respond to me. It was Josh/Barb's job to make sure a piano mover was scheduled on both ends. When moving out, the moving team asked me about the piano moving company Josh had hired, and I told them I hadn't heard anything. I didn't learn until my piano arrived in Canada that the regular movers had "packed" it, causing $4,000 of damage. When the delivery driver tried to contact Josh/Barb about piano movers, they refused to answer, so my piano arrived 9 days later. I submitted a complaint in August, after getting most of my items delivered. I received an automated response saying Allied would get back to me in one business day. I got a response 4 weeks later, only after reaching out to a different customer service rep, who pinged Jacquelene, who was supposed to have answered me but didn't. While I did get payment for some of my damages, customer service pretty much shrugged and said there was nothing else they could do. I want to emphasize that I have been nothing but polite, patient, and calm through this experience. I have never raised my voice or made personal attacks. Multiple people with Allied, including the delivery driver, a customer service rep, and two people who unloaded my truck have expressed amazement at my poise and kindness in the face of the delay and damage. My experience with Bailey's has been miserable in every way. Hire someone else.

I was moving from Denver to Florida with my girlfriend, getting married there. I had to catch my flight at 3pm. Martin and Josh had a slowdown on their morning move so they showed up at 11:30am. They were very fast though, had everything ready in 2 hours. Am recommending Bailey’s to all my friends in Denver!

I used Bailey's to move from Denver to Texas. The crew that loaded the truck in Denver was fantastic, as was the truck driver, Benjamin. However, the crew that unloaded in Texas sucked. I was standing in the driveway directing them where to take things and they just tossed things in random rooms. They stacked heavy boxes and totes on top of items marked fragile and I lost count of how many things were broken. And one of them left a "gift" in my toilet. Disgusting.
