I came last week with symptoms and I was seen by NP Jen, I didn't know nor nobody made me aware she scheduled a new patient appointment on her last day at this clinic. I got some labs done and comes Tuesday and nobody has called me to follow up with me. I ve called the office 4 times asking for the doctor or M.A to call me back. I received a messaged from M.A telling me my results were normal when I could seee in my chart they are not. I feel like nobody cares about patient care at this office. Im still waiting for someone to follow up with me. I wished I've read the reviews before going here. It look like it's a pattern ignoring their patients

I was needing a new OBGYN doc. First I get to see just the practioner only. They then screwed up multiple of my appts. Then because I'm trying to get pregnant they were trying to track and help regulate my menstrual period and told me to come on my 3rd day to get blood work to check for ovulation. Decide to close early the day I'm coming in and not tell me they were closing early at 12 pm when they were supposed to be open til 5pm. So then they tell me if whatever reason I can't get my labs done to go to the hospital to get my labs done. I try and they can't do it because the office never put in the order to have my blood drawn. This office is an unorganized disaster! If they can't even take care of me as a patient, there is no way in hell they can help with me and my future babies! This is so unprofessional! I will be going elsewhere!

Whomever is the Aid for Nurse Practitioner Steele; if only you were able to be treated the way you treat others. This Aid has us running from this clinic. Never had a Woman be so dismissive of another Woman’s pain, especially at a WOMEN’S Clinic. Downright unqualified (struggles terribly with basic info) and horrible to work with.

I’ve never been to this kind of doctor and I was so nervous. I had a feeling I had pcos and wanted to get better. They were so kind and helped my anxiety. They diagnosed me and gave me options. They didn’t say I was helpless and just gave me birth control. Which is so common for so many people. Forever grateful for them! Highly recommend!

I needed to re-establish care with a provider as mine will be leaving my current practice, and I chose Jordan River Women's Health because my sister told me she had a nice experience here. I was scheduled with Rebecca N. Johnson APRN, FNP-BC and I had such a lovely experience. During my visit, PA student Sam joined and helped with my full exam and she was excellent with communication and gentle with her exam. I told Rebecca about a struggle I'd had with my period and she didn't even question me and took it seriously and jumped right into problem solving. I'd like to thank both Rebecca and Sam for taking good care of me in such a respectful manner. I'm happy to know I have a new provider I feel comfortable returning to. I'd also like to shout out the 2 front desk gals and MA who did my intake, they were all very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

After being a patient for 2 years I will not be going back. I expressed concern for a medication I was given as new studies and research has come out on new side effects. My concerns were disregarded and I was told that the new studies were wrong. When I told Dr. Colby about the lawsuit he said that won't go anywhere and then said he didn't think the manufacturer listed in the lawsuit made the medication. After leaving I felt completely ignored and like my concerns were invalid. Especially as I was having similar symptoms that people expressed in the lawsuit.

Edit: Updated original post due to advancing illness and surgery. TLDR: Dr. Colby dismissed the symptoms of my condition. The new doctor took me seriously, and I got preventative surgery to ensure a safer pregnancy experience. Met with Dr. Colby to talk about getting diagnosed with endometriosis, a condition that causes me extreme levels of pain during my monthly periods. A few weeks prior to said appointment, I was in the emergency room due to the pain and suspected that one of the endometriomas(cyst/lump) had burst. The emergency room doctor told me that I MUST see an OB/GYN immediately, so I scheduled with Dr. Colby. Against the recommendation of my GP, my visit to the ER, my ultrasound and MRI results, Dr. Colby dismissed all my symptoms (many which I’ve experienced for years) and told me to either look into birth control or just take more pain medication. I was ignored when I told him that I’d unsuccessfully tried birth control and that the only high dose of pain meds that helped my pain were unsustainable, at 800-1200 mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours. (The ER doc threatened me within an inch of my life to NEVER take that dosage again) Luckily, my sister-in-law sees a brilliant OBGYN, Dr. Bechek, through South Valley Womens Healthcare in Bluffdale, Utah. Not only did she listen to me, but she is the sort of doctor who helps patients to fully understand their condition and the full range of treatment options, so they can make the best decision for their treatment plan. Over the course of several months, we monitored the cyst/lump in my left ovary. It got larger and spawned a second lump despite the lifestyle changes I implemented (healthier diet, regular exercise, etc). Dr Bechek recommended surgery as waiting didn't improve my condition, and leaving it untreated could lead to emergency surgery if the ovary twisted and cut off its own blood suply-not to mention this could happen during pregnancy! I moved forward with the surgery. It was minimally invasive, as it was performed lacrosopically, and I'm almost fully healed up after only 2 weeks of recovery. The masses removed from my ovary were biopsied, and I was officially diagnosed with endometriosis. I am SO glad that I didn't listen to Dr. Colby's recommendations and sought a second opinion. Please don’t visit this medical office! They will dismiss your concerns, belittle you in the process, and their online payment system doesn’t even work.

I have a good experience when actually at the office but the front desk ladies really are not good at their jobs. I've left messages for both offices and I NEVER get a response back. This last time was on rescheduling a very important appointment, I called back immediately after missing the call, got sent to voicemail, said either time works for the new app time just call me back and let me know which one you put me on. And now it's been a week and half almost 2 weeks with ZERO response from the office. They never remind you of appointments. They don't call and verify that the time still works a couple days before. I even told them "I have new insurance info" and they ignored me, didn't take the new info and then it was a whole mess for a year trying to get all my right info on file to bill me correctly. I even gave them my updated address and then they STILL sent it to my old address and then had the nerve to call me and say "well we have been mailing you" also tried to schedule something a YEAR OUT from my last app and they set it for a MONTH OUT from my last app. PLEASE consider getting better front desk people who actually know how to be a receptionist. :)

I’ve never been this uncomfortable with a doctor’s office in my life. I was scheduling as a new patient to see Dr. Colby. I originally scheduled for 2:30pm, but their office called and asked if I would be willing to reschedule at 11:45am. I agreed, and changed my schedule around. I ended up running about 10 minutes late. When I entered the office and started checking in, I could hear medical staff behind the counter saying that their nurses were “annoyed” that I was late and that they didn’t want me to be seen. The front desk staff started bickering amongst themselves about the office’s 15 minute late rule and whether or not I should be seen. The nurse in the back was sending messages up to the front and I could hear the front desk staff talking to each other as they read them aloud “she says she’ll ask Dr Colby if he wants to see her” and “she doesn’t think Dr Colby is even here anymore”. I was 10 minutes late and the doctor leaves? I was 10 minutes late after changing my schedule to accommodate THEM and they leave and then tell me to come back? And they’re annoyed with me? I am so uncomfortable. Needless to say, I’m not rescheduling with this office. I am so throughly unimpressed by the lack of basic understanding and human compassion, which is so necessary when you’re in the medical field. I left here in tears, and I won’t be coming back.

Rebecca Johnson is a very patient, knowledgeable, and understanding FNP. She was very gentle with me and answered all of my questions thoroughly before a procedure. Then she let me get my labs drawn, gave me a life changing diagnosis, and walked me through how to treat it holistically.

I’ve seen a handful of doctors and nurse practitioners at this office and have honestly not had a great experience with any of them. My most recent experience was seeing Dr. Colby when I found out I was pregnant at 8 weeks up until I was 17 weeks and every appointment and phone call I had with him was not the best. He’s the least personable doctor I’ve ever met, not informative by any means and very condescending. Any question I asked I got a very short quick response too, often times he made me feel dumb for even asking to begin with. One appointment I had to take labs for and pee, I couldn’t, so they told me I could just do it after I met with the doctor. The first thing Colby said when he walked in was that “my labs looked good”. What labs? I didn’t take any? Concerning. Every appointment I had with him I saw him for less than 5 mins. Hardly got to hear my baby’s heartbeat because he did it for 2 seconds, my very first ultrasound was probably less than a min long and he just said “yep, you’re pregnant” again, not personable at all. When he asked if I wanted to know the gender by blood/genetic test of course I said yes. He didn’t inform me at all how much it was going to cost, if it was honestly necessary to get the genetic testing, nothing. A couple weeks later I get a bill in the mail for $600. Ridiculous. I wouldn’t have done it if he would’ve been more informative. I don’t recommend seeing him at all. Even if he’s the only available doc or has more time slots opens. It’s now obvious to me why he’s more available than anybody else. Going through pregnancy, especially your first, is a very vulnerable time and experience. Find a doctor you’re comfortable with and who makes you excited to go back for your next appointment!! I am so so happy I switched to South Valley Women’s health.

Was recommended NP Rebecca Johnson through my insurance (her approval rating has also dropped since first finding her), she made me like I was doing all the wrong things for my health and that she could make those corrections, she then turned around and put me back on what I was on before I went to her and told her everything I already knew about my health. It took 3 months for her to get a prescription to me. 3 different pharmacies and my insurance we unable to get ahold of her or her medical assistant during that period. They tried to charge me for the diagnostic appointment I went to Dec. 11th even though I just ordered the medication last week due to their error (still waiting for it via mail). Billing told me I could speak with the office manager who was just as dismissive, and said she had “notes” that they had spoken to insurance in January (a month after my visit). The notes they do have are of me calling them in December asking about that’s causing the delay. Would not recommend this practice.

Rebecca Johnson has taken great care of me during my appointments! I had an IUD appointment a few months ago, and was very nervous that it would be a painful procedure. She made sure that I was comfortable and explained how it was going to work. She explained everything that she was doing and how it was going to feel. Rebecca prescribed me a medication the day before that would help make the procedure be a bit less painful. The office also made sure that I was okay after the procedure before I went home. I know everyone experiences pain differently especially for a procedure like this, but I highly recommend seeing her. She is very gentle, and I've always felt at ease around her.

What a waste of time. Dr. Colby should stick with pregnant women and not menopausal women. Thankfully I have found an amazing woman doctor with IMH. I do not recommend this place.
