The warranty is of zero benefit Our awning worked great for almost a year and a half when something happened to one of the projection arms that caused the awning to twist out of shape. The company wouldn't stand behind their warranty saying in the fine print that the projection arms were excluded from the warranty. They have excluded in the exceptions everything that might possibly go wrong.

The awning price was great but we needed the soffit brackets and the price was $35 a piece which was tolerable but the shipping was outrageous at $26 just for brackets

Very pleased with this purchase. Well made awning (Maui 10’), protected for shipping by truck, easy install. Came with touch up paint but this was not needed as it arrived in perfect condition and we were careful when installing. This awning makes a big difference in reducing heat gain into our house.

This is a poor-quality product. I ordered top of the line 18 x12 ft. motorized awning. Problems started when I installed it. 1. Bad tubular motor. You will need to adjust tension of the material using special tool for the motor. Once I started the adjustment process, the motor stopped working. After 30-45 minutes of waiting, motor started working again and so on. Awntech stated motor only works for short time before it overheats and stops. Then you need to wait for the motor to cool down. Awntech knows about this problem, but they do not disclose it upfront. Pure misrepresentation of the product. Interestingly, Awntech gives only a ONE-year warranty for the motor - they know it's a low quality motor, yet their website boasts about high quality low price awnings. Not true. 2. Quality of material is subpar. My awning was sewn from 4 different pieces of material. Awntech representative stated (via email) this is the only way material comes - 60" wide and "everyone" puts it together - pure misrepresentation considering There are wide awnings made as one-piece material. As a result awning was sagging a lot. If you are OK with it, it's fine; to me it looks bad. 3. Cheaply made product overall. Materials are of poor quality. 4. Return policy is bad they charge me 25% restocking fee plus shipping back - basically blackmail me to keeping this poor-quality awning. I would rather lose money but get a better-quality product. 5. Poor customer service. Noone answers phone calls. Communication is via e-mail only, and it takes days to get a response. I understand that their prices are lower than higher-quality awnings, but still, you need to have some sort of basic customer service. I would highly recommend getting a different product. Yes, you will pay more money, but this is a purchase that should last for many years. Not only you will enjoy a better quality, but you will also feel good about it. I am getting a different product and should have listened to others - don't be a sucker like me! :)

We are very happy with both the quality of the product and responsiveness of the service. I initially ordered the wrong size and had to return for correct size. Patricia and Tech support were very accommodating, made the process easy, They unsolicited, offered to reduce the expediting fee, which was very appreciated. Very good quality to price ratio, we saved much time (months) and THOUSANDS vs. local installers. Highly recommend! Only pet peeve is they make it impossible to speak to someone by phone, force you to communicate by email. In the end it worked out fine, but frustrating none the less. UPDATE: Original purchase still holding up and look great a year later surviving some pretty rough weather in between. Liked them enough to order another for a different part of house. The order came promptly and looks great!

This is my 4th year with my Awntech awning. I had some problem connecting the remote at the start of our spring season, but Patty with tech support emailed me trouble shooting tips and updated manuals and that help solve my problem. When I purchased the awning I used the installations instructions for the setup. They were very detailed and although I'm not a handyman I was able to install my own awning with the help of a friend and neighbor. Even when we are not sitting outside enjoying the summer weather the awning is out so the house will stay cooler from the sun shinning directly into our family room. It's a great product. I bought the Destin retractable and the vibration sensor to close the awning if the wind gets too strong. Programming was easy. Adjustment locations are readily accessible. Keeps my lanai so much cooler. Great quality and engineering.

My wife and I ordered 3 Dallas Retro Style Awnings and are quite pleased with the outcome. Not too difficult to assemble and mount. The fabric looks great and we've received numerous compliments. I needed to modify one of the awnings to accomodate mounting to a brick facade and was able to do that with not much trouble. The only small complaint I have is that the velcro strip stitched on one of the fabric awnings was off the mark by an inch making it nearly impossible to stretch all the way to fit the front bar. Fortunately, enough of the receiver strip was able to latch on so the awning doesnt fly off in a wind gust. But it was close! All in all we're pleased and consider it to be a good value.

I ordered 7 Dallas Retro awnings for our 1930 Phoenix bungalow. I was careful to manage my expectation for internet awnings, but they arrived in a timely manner, the awnings were as I ordered them, and I was pleasantly surprised by the construction quality. The color swatches helped me make the correct fabric selection. The design made mounting the awnings relatively easy (the 10 and 12 footers did require some help from my buddy to pull the fabric through the top bar channel). I am pleased with the result and am getting positive comments from the neighbors. For a high value DIY awning project, I recommend Awntech!

I ordered and installed a Destin 14'X10' retractable awning and absolutely love it. The awning has been in place for 3 years now and has performed flawlessly, and is of excellent quality. Even better, I just ordered a vibration sensor to have the awning automatically retract when I'm not present, and the customer service from Patty was just as great as when I ordered the awning. I highly recommend Awntech and the folks like Patty there who provide outstanding products and customer service!
