We booked and paid for a sclerotherapy training course at the end of March. After payment, we never received a receipt or any booking confirmation—only the bank transaction on our side. Since then, we have tried repeatedly to contact the business (approximately 30–40 call attempts). The phone number is consistently unavailable. We have also attempted to reach them by email, Facebook, and Instagram (including calls/messages), with no response. We also attempted to contact the owner via a number provided by a mutual contact who had a similar experience. Outcome: no training delivered, no course materials provided, and no refund received. He said he would give us the access to the material and dates available by midday. Of course never got an answer. I booked in London for training and gave up on this one since we wanted to train into sclerotherapy. Of course we book in a proper academy and we got confirmation, material and being able to talk to them throughout. The owner eventually stated that a refund would be processed on the 3rd and advised to allow 14 days. We allowed the full 14 days and the refund still has not arrived in our bank account, and we have not received any refund confirmation or reference. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others not to book training here until the business can provide reliable communication, receipts/confirmations, and timely refunds. We are now proceeding with a formal complaint to the relevant bodies. Attached some of the calls.

I'd the best time with Rebecca. She's a very informative and talented aesthetician. She put me completely at ease and discussed all aspects of my treatment, making sure I was happy and had realistic ideas of the outcome. . I was delighted with my treatment and am looking forward to my next appointment with Rebecca.

Edited * I strongly urge anyone considering using this company to check Companies House records before handing over money to ensure you understand who you are dealing with. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter, including filing a case through the Enforcement of Judgments Office, the Ava has still failed to respond * I paid in full for the Pathways into Aesthetics course that was never delivered. Although sessions were repeatedly cancelled, reportedly due to personal circumstances, the service was not rescheduled within a reasonable timeframe, nor was a refund provided. While I sympathise with any personal difficulties, this is ultimately a business transaction, and I was left out of pocket with no course and no resolution. I made multiple attempts to communicate and resolve the issue, but unfortunately had to escalate the matter legally. This experience has been stressful and disappointing. I would not recommend this company based on how my case was handled.

Amazing, Thomas was absolutely brilliant. There was only 3 of us in the class and finally, I have the confidence to preform the treatment on all clients I treat. Thank you so much Ava.

Avoid Ava Clinic Belfast if you are serious about your aesthetics career. I completed and passed my Level 7 Aesthetics qualification—both theory and practical—in January 2024. 18 months later, I am still waiting for my certificate. This is completely unacceptable and shows a total lack of professionalism and respect for students. Ava Clinic issues this qualification through Qualifi, an awarding body regulated by Ofqual, yet neither Ava Clinic nor Qualifi has taken responsibility for this failure. Despite multiple follow-ups, numerous phone calls and messages. All fell on deaf ears! I’ve received nothing but empty promises and vague excuses. This delay has impacted my ability to move forward professionally. If you value your time, money, and future, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This has been an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Level 7 Qualification Dear Thomas, I must say, this is the most prompt response I have received from you in over a year. I would like to take this opportunity to express my thoughts candidly. My review of the situation is entirely honest, and while I am deeply disappointed by your defensive response, I cannot say I am surprised by the ongoing lack of accountability and transparency regarding this matter. It appears you are attempting to conflate the business of the training academy with my personal training—two entirely separate issues. Allow me to refresh your memory: I paid £2,500 for the Level 7 qualification through Ava Academy. This fee reflected the fact that I am a qualified nurse with 20 years of experience, have been practicing aesthetics for 14 years, and have taught aesthetics for 5 years. Given my background, it was agreed that I would not require any additional training or support from the academy. The agreed fee covered my registration with Qualifi, the provision of the Level 7 written assessment questions via email, the completion of the written component, followed by the practical examination in Belfast, with the final verification to be submitted to Qualifi. I completed the written assessment, which was subsequently forwarded to you after several months. I then traveled to Belfast not once, but twice, to complete the practical assessment—my first visit being unsuccessful due to the absence of sufficient models. All required components were completed by early January 2024. Since that time, I have reached out to you on numerous occasions seeking updates. You confirmed to me that my assessments had been verified and submitted to Qualifi. I have documented proof of all communications related to this process. The last correspondence I received from you was in July 2024, in which you stated that my work had been sent to the verifier. In October 2024, you informed me that the work remained with the verifier. Subsequently, you advised me that you were awaiting the certificate from Qualifi. However, upon contacting Qualifi directly, I was informed that they had never received any submission from Ava Academy pertaining to my work. As a result, I have now filed an official complaint with Qualifi to either secure a refund or obtain my certificate. It is disheartening that matters have escalated to this point, but even the most patient individuals have their limits. I therefore confirm that the above statement is accurate. I must also stress that the continued lack of accountability and honesty surrounding my Level 7 qualification falls significantly short of any acceptable standard of educational practice and fails to inspire any trust or confidence in your academy.

Hi Jaime, if you want to leave a review at least be honest. You paid a registration fee for the course which was part of a business agreement with your training academy in Manchester to become a satellite centre. As part of your academy being a satellite centre you were getting out through the course as staff at the cost of the registration fee. You pulled out of the satellite centre. As part of that agreement there is an outstanding debt for the manuals and set up costs. I happily still went ahead with your level 7 even though you pulled out of our business arrangement and my wife was diagnosed with cancer as you know. A few is also outstanding for the verifier that we did also say you would have to pay. Please when you leave a review tell the full truth.

Would warn people before booking this course that they have not got the staff to cover the courses when booked I've been cancelled 2 times short notice on the day and now have to go down the road of a small claims court to retrieve my money back as I have been refused a refund. There isn't sufficient staff to cover and it's a complete letdown I have missed out on 2 full days wages due to being cancelled last minute and given a date months down the line which has lost me out on more money due to not being able to practice the service I was suppose to be trained in 2 months ago. I paid 979 which is a lot of money to go to the loss of.

Hi Chelsea, thank you for the review we appreciate the feedback. While we understand that due to circumstances beyond our control that staff unfortunately get ill. This is out of our control. Unfortunately it’s not possible to get cover at short notice and unfortunately with my wife’s diagnosis I cannot just cover a class if I am with her while she is having treatment. As much as I would much rather be able to cover the classes unfortunately my wife’s health is priority. As we advised you, we advised you, your original training dates were moved forward due to another student cancelling and because a tutor was ill we needed to revert back to your original dates, which you were more than happy to, considering that in 6 months you had not even started your online theory work which needed to be completed prior to attending. On the next practical date we provided, you still had not completed the paperwork and were involved in a car accident, again this being beyond your control we agreed to rearrange. You did want to attend but I did advise that because you told my staff that you were ‘shaken up’, rearranging would be better because it may not be safe or wise allowing you to inject someone with Botox. Also considering you missed all of the theory at the start of the classs and you still had not completed your paperwork. At a 3rd time for practical, again we were let down by staff at short notice and yes we had to reschedule as I like I said, was in England while my wife had a scan for treatment. You at this stage still had not completed any paperwork for your course. Even though we had needed to move the class, unfortunately you would not have been able to complete it as you had not done the theory work set out on your student portal. For this reason we advised you we would happily rearrange once you completed the necessary online theory. The student registration and agreement that you filled out confirmed you agree to complete all paperwork prior to attendance of practical to the best of your ability. Unfortunately you did not complete any paperwork in 6 months for your foundation dermal fillers or foundation Botox. Again I have been more than nice and offered to train you, which I didn’t have to. Now had this not been the case and you had completed your paperwork and you had been let down multiple times as you suggest then you would have been refunded. But it isn’t the case. I wish you all the best.
