I had a very troubling experience with Tayne Law Group. After paying thousands into their program, the firm refused to provide an itemized bill, a full escrow ledger, or any documentation showing what work was actually done. When I ended my engagement, they charged me a 10% “termination fee” of $11,859.85 without providing a single invoice or time entry to justify it.
Repeated requests for transparency were ignored. Because of the lack of documentation and the unexplained fee, I filed a formal grievance with the New York Attorney Grievance Committee. I strongly recommend asking for detailed billing upfront if you choose to work with this firm.

We understand that legal fees can be frustrating; however, that does not negate the work performed by the office, which was done for your benefit. Additionally, your statements that you would “go all over social media” are unfair and appear intended to extort the firm into waiving or reducing valid fees.

I am filing this review to document serious concerns regarding Tayne Law Groups billing practices and lack of transparency. If you're reading this, there's a good chance you're a small business owner like me. You've been working tirelessly, and despite the long hours, you may still find yourself in a tough spot. You're searching for a way out. You're under pressure. You're vulnerable.
That's how I found Tayne Law, through a search. Their blog is strong. Their inbound marketing is polished. On the surface, it looks legitimate. It looks like the answer.
In my case, it wasn't.
After spending hours researching and making an initial $1,000 payment, I was prepared to move forward. I received the contract and decided to dig deeper before committing further. That's when I started noticing things that gave me pause. Their Facebook reviews were hidden. Many of the positive reviews I found felt generalized rather than specific. So I kept researching.
Eventually, I came across a detailed, transparent review from a former client who said their situation ended in bankruptcy. That hit me hard. It forced me to slow down and think clearly about the decision I was about to make.
At that moment, I decided not to move forward.
I did not receive a refund of the initial $1,000. Still, I believe stepping back will ultimately save me significantly more money and stress in the long run.
If you're considering working with them, my advice is simple: slow down, research thoroughly, and make sure you're fully comfortable before committing. When you're in a vulnerable position, it's easy to move quickly. Don't.

Leslie is not only an incredible Lawyer who is a bulldog while working in your favor and be your biggest advocate. She 100% knows how to use emotional intelligence and has the best customer service. What I love about this experience is that, with the Leslie Tayne Law Firm, every time I call the office they know who I am. That is attention to detail. Horrible experience. Took the $750 I gave them to work and try to help me with a case in another state which they said they can assist and did nothing . I got more info than they did from the courts and supplied it to them . They read the email I forwarded them and said they can’t do anything . Being that they said they can no longer assist I tried to ask for the money back and they said the $750 was for the time they spent (which was probably 5 mins they spent reading the info I gave them ) I asked for an invoice for services provided and they sent one for triple the amount . Then tried to threaten me with further collections if I do not stop disputing the charges and asking for my money back.

We take all feedback very seriously, but this review does not accurately reflect the service provided and the fact of your matter. You were charged a flat fee of $1,500 to assess and provide you with advice on your complicated legal matter, where you were sued by a creditor for breach of contract and non-payment. You only paid half of that fee with the $750. Our team completed the work, now over a year ago, and yet the bill to our office remains outstanding. We believe this review is in retaliation to the fact that we will not close out your bill in exchange for the review being taken down. We stand by the work completed and the professionalism of our team throughout the process.
