The selection, the vibe, Mike and his cat Monkey (don’t call her Monkey her name is Violet, it’s just something I call her), his mom and her beautiful dog are all just epic. I can’t say enough about how kind and loving his mom is, but Mike is so kind and easy to chat with about art. Plus there are a couple of rad Obey prints on the walls and the music is always delightful. One of my favorite places to stop in.

ASTORIA’s FINE ART SUPPLY STORE
The BEST & ONLY ART SUPPLY Store around the area.
I absolutely love this Art Store, & the people in it. I have found everything I could possibly want for my Artwork it is either in stock or they are able to get it right away.
Jo & Mike are Talented Artists themselves and very knowledgeable with all mediums, & were available there to help me with all my questions.
I have been to many other Art Stores, & have never received this type of help along with such an interest in my own Artwork. Also if you are interested in learning about a new Medium or wanting to learn more about the Medium you are using then this is the best place to go & get the information
to the wide variety of Art Classes, in All Mediums for All Ages, they will direct you to The Astoria Art Loft, located just upstairs from them. You or your children can get classes in Art. Like Drawing with Graphite, Charcoal, Colored Pencils, Watercolor Pencils, or Drawing with Pastels, Oil, Chalk, & pastel Pencils. Or Painting with Watercolors, Acrylics, & Oils. Or Collages, and more even Workshops taught by other Artists. What a great way to learn & meet other like minded people/ARTISTS.

If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would! Fiber Art Supply is an absolute treasure. My visit was unforgettable, thanks to the incredible hospitality, knowledge, and passion of Mike and his amazing mom, Joe.
We made the trip from Long Beach to purchase supplies, and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with open arms by Mike. He was more than knowledgeable—he was a true expert! Every question we threw his way was met with thoughtful and helpful answers. It’s rare to meet someone so genuinely passionate about what they do, and his dedication to the arts shines through every interaction.
The store itself is a dream for artists, filled with an exceptional selection of supplies for every medium imaginable. And upstairs? Joe, Mike’s mom, was teaching a watercolor class—a detail that made me love this place even more. Although I didn’t get the chance to meet her, I truly regret it. What a story this family has, pouring their hearts into a business that clearly means the world to them and to the artistic community.
If you’re in Seattle, Fiber Art Supply is an absolute must-visit. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just dipping your toes into creativity, you’ll leave feeling inspired and supported. Thank you, Mike and Joe, for your incredible dedication to the arts. You’ve created something truly special. I’ll be back in a heartbeat.
Highly, highly recommended!

Fantastic Art Supply store in Astoria, Oregon, with a whole room full of different papers and journals, sketch pads, and pre-stretched canvases. Their Art Supplies fill the other 2/3 of the ground floor space. The top floor of the building offers Art workshops and classes. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating, and their 2 "shop mascots" are very friendly as well. The QUALITY of the supplies in Fine Art Supply is top notch, and they sell high-end paints and papers, pens and journals, as well as "hobby quality" supplies as well. If you have questions about techniques, or methods, recommendations or need helpful pointers, they are very willing to share their extensive knowledge with you, and genuinely care about you as an artist, and not just as a customer. They have free parking right next to their building, too, making a stop there easy and accessible.
